Abstract

The learning process is the main key in training students' basic skills completely and comprehensively. Interactive learning media is needed that is able to train students to master every 21st Century skill. One of the interactive learning media that can be used is Kahoot learning media. Through various kinds of complete derivation of features and supported by applicable components so that they can be used in every learning process. The service method used is direct socialization which aims to help teachers recognize and apply interactive learning media. The results of the education show that through Kahoot media students are able to recognize each learning material and teachers can reflect on each learning process through giving quizzes.

Abstract

Education is an important basis in forming superior human resources in a region. Very rapid changes in the 21st century require educators to be more skilled in fulfilling the competencies needed to transfer knowledge to their students. There are so many models, methods and approaches offered in the learning process, one of which is the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). In implementing PkM, the aim is for educators to be able to recognize, understand and apply the STEAM approach. This service was carried out at SD YAPIS II Merauke and was attended by 15 teachers. This activity begins with giving a pretest, then explaining the STEAM material, following up plans and giving a posttest. The result of this PkM is that teachers understand more about the STEAM approach and are ready to apply it to classroom learning so that in the future teachers are expected to be more proactive about changes that occur and continue to upgrade themselves to be more adaptive to various ongoing learning paradigms. continues to develop over time.

Abstract

Distance learning in the era of digitalization has now become one of the mechanisms that many educational institutions choose in the learning process. During the Covid era, distance learning or what we know as PJJ is one of the alternatives used to provide rights for students even though there is no direct meeting. This community service was carried out with the aim of providing training to teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Merauke as an evaluation tool in the Distance Learning (PJJ) process. The application of this learning is not as easy as many people talk about, because teachers must be able to choose and design learning media using technology. The problem experienced by teachers, especially in the regions, is the lack of knowledge in creating technology-based learning media, especially learning media that can be used as evaluation material for Distance Learning (PJJ). As a solution to overcome this problem, our team held training on creating Google Forms for teachers as a medium for evaluating Distance Learning (PJJ). The method we provide for this community service activity is by providing direct training to teachers, creating simple modules, and providing assistance in creating Google Form evaluation media. The result of this service activity is that the 25 teachers who took part in the training were able to create and design their own Google Forms according to the needs of each subject as a medium for evaluating Distance Learning (PJJ). Apart from that, based on the results of questionnaires filled out by teachers who took part in the training, it showed that 90% of the teachers understood how to create their own Google Forms and the teachers were happy and enthusiastic about the training activities carried out

Abstract

SMP Negeri Buti is one of the state schools that implements the latest curriculum but is hampered by students' unsupported critical thinking abilities. To improve critical thinking skills, teachers need to receive training in creating interactive learning media that supports improving critical thinking skills such as websites.quizzwhizzer. Quizzwhizzer is a website that provides templates for creating interactive games. Even though it is used by beginners, this website is very easy to understand. Training is carried out in the form of One-Day Training (ODT) with structured training. At the end of the activity, the committee asked the training participants to fill out a questionnaire regarding their satisfaction during the training. The results of the questionnaire showed that 89% of participants felt very satisfied and 11% felt satisfied. This shows that this training activity ran smoothly and in accordance with the expectations of the implementing committee.

Abstract

This training activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers at SD Yapis 2 Merauke in preparing learning activity plans using innovative learning models. This activity started with the teachers of SD Yapis 2 Merauke regarding the complex models of innovative learning development. The training method is carried out using discussion techniques, question and answer, assignments and presentations. Training activities begin with a pretest to map the initial abilities of the training participants, and at the end of the activity a posttest is carried out to measure the success of the training activities carried out. An indicator of the success of this training is if participants obtain an average score of at least 75% in the good category. Based on the results of data processing from training activities, initial test information was obtained before training for 3 people or 20% with scores still in the poor category. including 7 teachers or 46.7% in the sufficient category and 5 teachers or 33.3% in the good category and 3 teachers or 20% in the poor category. After carrying out the training, final test data information was obtained for 1 person in the fair category or 7%, and 6 teachers in the good category or 40% and 8 teachers in the very good category or 53%. Based on the data, the final test results of the activity show that it has exceeded the specified success indicators. This means that the training carried out at SD Yapis 2 Merauke was declared successful and was able to improve teacher skills.

Abstract

This community service was carried out based on observations related to the tourist destination of Lampu Satu Beach in Merauke Regency. The fundamental problems found are; a) the low understanding of local people regarding tourist attractions as economic support; b) public understanding related to the management of tourist attractions in supporting tourism development is still very limited; c) there are still unclear regulations in the management of Lampu Satu beach as a tourist attraction. The method used in this service is the lecture and discussion method. Based on the results of the problem analysis, several programs can be formulated several programs, namely; socialization related to the Ecotourism Development Strategy of Lampu Satu Beach and the Eco-creative Development Strategy of Local Communities in the tourist attractions of Lampu Satu Beach. The achievement of community service activities at Lampu Satu beach can be seen quantitatively. Several ecotourism development strategies have been implemented, although their application is still not optimal. In this case, the role of the government, local communities, and managers of tourist attractions is very influential in the development of Lampu Satu Beach ecotourism as an effort to increase the income of local communities.

Abstract

State High School 6 is located in Padangsidimpuan, precisely on Jalan Sutan Soripada Mulia. In this activity, after observing, it was discovered that the ice breaking activity was something new and had never been implemented in schools. In learning, many teachers still use teacher-centered learning, resulting in interesting learning. This activity aims to find out how to apply ice breaking in improving teacher professionalism. The sample used was teachers at Padangsidimpuan State High School 6. The method implemented is through preparation, namely by conducting observations in the field, carrying out a presentation to the teacher about the ice breaking, evaluating and analyzing the teacher's perception of the activity. The results obtained show that teachers really rate this activity positively because it can increase teachers' knowledge in the teaching and learning process so that learning does not make students bored and can increase teacher professionalism. Apart from that, this activity will overcome students' learning boredom and will develop students' psychology in learning

Abstract

Strengthening character is a common trait that exists in society. Al Azhar Bi'ibadillah Tahalak Islamic Boarding School in South Tapanuli which always instills positive character in schools. In this activity, students previously did not understand character building in South Tapanuli culture. Through this activity, 50 students took part in this activity. This activity is within the South Tapanuli Culture. The community service team explains about Dalihan Natolu in relation to character strengthening. The method used in this activity is preparation, namely observation, implementation, evaluation and follow-up. Through this activity, the student response was obtained that 90% said they agreed with the activity and it attracted students so that students became more aware that character in culture is very important, this is because we as members of society must show positive character based on South Tapauli culture. which in spoken culture is highly valued in society. In Dalihan Natolu, there is also the strengthening of character, there is cooperation that is carried out when there is work in the community.

Abstract

The curriculum is a learning program that aims to advance education in schools. Much has been done to advance the world of education, especially in curriculum development which has undergone changes from time to time. This is done to advance students to become better students in achieving learning with more optimal results in accordance with mutual expectations. Students are given the freedom to choose a learning style that suits their interests and talents, which is one of the characteristics of an independent curriculum. Students have different learning styles consisting of visual, audiotorial and kinesthetic learning styles, which are types of learning styles that make students have different learning interests. Learning also requires an interesting strategy in developing student learning, with an interesting strategy students can become more enthusiastic and more interested in learning. This is the basis for teachers to develop themselves into creative, innovative teachers who can make students into material that must be advanced in the world of education.The training carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat is expected to provide solutions for teachers in overcoming learning problems and provide input in developing more creative and innovative teachers.

Abstract

Public speaking is a person's ability to speak in front of an audience or public. The ability to speak in public is not born just like that, but through a continuous process of practice and should be started early, so that one's confidence is more stable. Persuasive speech is one of the means that students can use to practice their ability to speak in public. This activity aims to hone the skills of grade IX students at SMPN 3 Merauke in public speaking through training and mentoring using persuasive speeches. The methods used in this activity are training and mentoring using pre-test, post-test, and direct practice instruments. The result of this activity is to be able to grow students' basic understanding related to public speaking through training activities, as well as provide experience in the form of practice for students through mentoring.
