Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Sharia-based human resource management (HRM) in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1-4 South Lampung. The scope of the study includes the planning and performance assessment of educators and educational staff, emphasizing sharia values. The research aims to investigate the closed and open planning systems applied in recruiting educators, family members of teachers, and collaboration with higher education institutions. Additionally, the study seeks to understand performance assessment practices. The research employs a combination of descriptive data analysis and qualitative approaches. Conducted at MTs Negeri 1-4 South Lampung, data collection involves observation, interviews with informants, and secondary data analysis from relevant literature. The findings indicate that the implementation of HRM involves a closed planning system through internal analysis and an open planning system through external recruitment by BKN. Performance assessments, although goal-based, face challenges in objectivity due to social relationships among staff members. In conclusion, the complexity of implementing Sharia-based HRM in Islamic education is evident. Further efforts are needed to enhance the objectivity of performance assessments, ensure accountability, and develop policies aligned with Sharia principles in the educational context. The implications of this research contribute to the development of more effective policies aligned with Sharia values.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become an important concept in Islamic education, especially in Indonesia, as an effort to instill the values of balance, tolerance, and inclusiveness. Pesantren, as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have a central role in teaching moderation values to santri. This article aims to analyze the application of religious moderation in educational management in pesantren, focusing on aspects of curriculum, leadership, and character education. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach at Pesantren An-Nawawi Berjan Purworejo. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers, santri, and teaching staff, as well as document analysis related to curriculum policies and pesantren management. The analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify patterns of religious moderation implementation in the daily activities of the pesantren. The results showed that the application of religious moderation in Pesantren An-Nawawi Berjan Purworejo had a positive impact on increasing tolerance among students and inclusive character building. Religious moderation is also integrated in human resource management, curriculum development, and pesantren leadership activities. In addition, the values of religious moderation help this pesantren in managing social dynamics better, increasing the operational effectiveness of the Institute. The implementation of religious moderation in Pesantren An-Nawawi shows how the pesantren can adapt to modern challenges such as intolerance and radicalism, while still maintaining its traditional identity. The integration of moderation values in the curriculum and management of pesantren strengthens the role of pesantren as institutions that educate generations that are not only academically intelligent, but also have tolerant and inclusive characters. This research confirms that religious moderation plays an important role in pesantren education management, particularly in improving tolerance and management effectiveness. The implication is that this model of implementing religious moderation can be adopted by other pesantren in Indonesia in facing the challenges of radicalism and maintaining social harmony.

Abstract

In recent decades, technological disruption has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. Amidst this development, Pesantren-based education, a traditional education model, faces significant challenges in maintaining its identity, especially in maintaining religious culture-based learning. This study focuses on the complex dynamics between Pesantren traditions and religious values and the impact of technological disruption in education management at various levels, such as Raudhatul Athfal, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Tsanawiyah, and Aliyah. As part of the approach to Pesantren-based education management, the aim is to uncover the transformation of religious culture learning in the era of disruption, which will then serve as the basis for creating a relevant and adaptive education model. The research method used is qualitative, with in-depth case studies conducted in several Pesantrens. This design is selected based on the phenomenon's complexity involving a combination of traditional and modern aspects in the transformation of religious learning. Data collection techniques involve participatory observation, in-depth interviews with Pesantren leaders, teachers, and students, and document analysis of Pesantren policies and curricula. The study results indicate the importance of developing an Islamic education model responsive to technological advances while maintaining the traditional values of Pesantrens. Integrating modern management, technology, and religious values produces relevant and adaptive education in technological disruption. This study provides an essential contribution to creating an inclusive, dynamic Islamic education that maintains the essence of religious values amidst the development of the times.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Brand Religiosity Image, E-Service Quality, and Muslim Customer Perceived Value on student loyalty, with student satisfaction as a mediating variable. This study was conducted at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta using explanatory quantitative method. Data was collected through Google Form with a sample of 403 respondents from a population of 35,069 students. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS version 4.0.9.6. The results showed that Brand Religiosity Image, E-Service Quality, and Muslim Customer Perceived Value have a positive and significant influence on student loyalty. E-Service Quality and Muslim Customer Perceived Value also have a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction, but Brand Religiosity Image has no significant effect on student satisfaction. Student satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on student loyalty, but does not mediate the effect of Brand Religiosity Image on loyalty. Conversely, student satisfaction mediates the effect of E-Service Quality and Muslim Customer Perceived Value on student loyalty. These findings offer a new paradigm, namely the Islamic Higher Education Brand Religiosity Image (i-HEBRI), which emphasizes that Islamic universities need to internalize Islamic values and science in their brand and operations, and provide capable digital services to build student loyalty. This paradigm shows that to achieve student loyalty, it is not enough for institutions to have a strong brand image, but they also need to provide significant added value through quality services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of educational financing at the Nurul Qarnain Baletbaru Sukowono Jember Islamic Boarding School, which includes three main aspects: planning, implementation, and evaluation of financing. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The main informants consisted of the caretaker of the Islamic boarding school, the treasurer, and the financial manager of the Islamic boarding school. The results of the study indicate that financing planning is carried out through annual deliberations involving all elements of the Islamic boarding school management. The implementation of financing is carried out based on a clear division of tasks and responsibilities, with strict recording and supervision according to the budget post. Financing evaluation is carried out periodically every semester through coordination meetings and financial accountability reports (LPJ), which guarantee transparency and accountability. The most interesting finding of this study is the participatory, efficient, and in-line financing management system in accordance with the principles of modern financial governance, even though it is carried out in a traditional environment such as Islamic boarding schools. This proves that Islamic boarding schools are able to manage finances professionally and sustainably to support the achievement of Islamic education goals.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of learning management in Islamic Religious Education at junior high schools in Manado, encompassing planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method at SMPN 4 Manado and SMPN 5 Manado. The respondents were four teachers teaching Islamic Religious Education subjects at both schools. Data was collected through survey and interview techniques. The research results show that the teachers understand and can implement Islamic Religious Education learning management well, starting from the planning stage, which includes preparing the Learning Objectives Flow (LOF) and teaching modules before conducting the learning process. At the learning implementation management stage, all respondents used Project Based Learning (PjBL) supported by interactive learning media. Respondents used formative and summative assessments at the learning evaluation management stage to evaluate student learning outcomes. However, the interviews revealed several obstacles faced by the teachers, such as limited media, facilities, and classrooms, as well as the adjustment from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. Solutions include using the hall, the prayer room, studying outside the classroom, and borrowing media and facilities from the school to carry out the teaching and learning process. Additionally, the respondents independently utilized several Merdeka Curriculum platforms to develop their skills in learning management. This research is expected to provide information and the latest references related to learning management, especially in Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

This research evaluates the principal's understanding of financial management and its direct impact on improving facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Palopo. Using a quantitative research approach, the study reveals that the principal’s understanding of financial management falls within the medium category, with an average score of 57.75. This indicates a fairly good comprehension but highlights the need for optimization. Meanwhile, the adequacy level of school facilities and infrastructure is rated at 51.92%, which, although classified as sufficient, still requires improvement. The findings emphasize a direct correlation between financial management understanding and the quality of school facilities. Effective financial management allows for better allocation of resources, ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently to enhance infrastructure. However, challenges such as limited human resources and budget constraints hinder progress. Managerial focus on the quality and suitability of school facilities plays a crucial role in bridging this gap. Therefore, strengthening financial literacy among school leaders can lead to more strategic planning and improved infrastructure development. This study underscores the necessity of enhancing financial management skills to maximize available resources, ultimately fostering a better learning environment through improved school facilities. These insights offer valuable directions for policy improvements and future educational management strategies

Abstract

The research aims to analyze humans and education in Islam. The qualitative research method, the type of library research that is explored, is sourced from the library. The author uses a content analysis approach model (research content). This research is an in-depth discussion of the content of written or printed information in the mass media. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis, including all content analysis of the Al-Qur'an text and books related to human themes and education in Islam. The research results show that (1) Humans are multi-dimensional creatures with perception, sensation, and intellectual powers. Human potential is actualized in the form of creative works. (2) Humans are expressed in terms of basyar and insan. Basyar refers to their physical appearance, while insan refers to their psychological qualities, namely the power of feeling and the power of reasoning. (3) Humans and education are two elements that cannot be separated because humans, with all their potential, can be empowered through education and training. Education is an essential part of human life. With education, humans can actualize themselves in the form of work, which is manifested in science, art, and culture. This work is a human effort to overcome the difficulties of life.
