Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of information and communication technology (ICT) usage on teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah in Jember Regency. The background of this research is the low quality of teachers in Indonesia, as indicated by the 2015 Teacher Competency Test (UKG) results, with a national average score of only 44.5, far below the standard of 75. A quantitative method with a descriptive approach was used to collect data from 40 teachers as samples, using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis employed descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression. The research results show that ICT usage has a significant impact on teacher performance, with a regression coefficient value of 0.809, meaning that every 1% increase in ICT usage improves teacher performance by 80.9%. The T-count value of 4.904 is greater than the T-table value of 2.035, with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant influence. Additionally, the R-Square value of 0.422 indicates that 42.2% of the variability in teacher performance can be explained by ICT usage, while the remaining 57.8% is influenced by other factors. The study also identifies various digital tools and platforms used by teachers, such as Moodle, Google Classroom, Kahoot!, and Quizlet, which contribute to improved teaching performance. However, the study also notes challenges in ICT implementation, including accessibility, technological skills, and curriculum integration. These findings provide a comprehensive view of how ICT can be effectively utilized in education and the challenges that need to be addressed to maximize its benefits. This study has practical and theoretical implications, including recommendations for the use of technology in teaching and the addition of literature on ICT utilization in education

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of life skills education management in three Islamic boarding schools in Metro City, namely Darul A'mal Islamic Boarding School, Tuma'ninah Yasin Islamic Boarding School, and Daarul Ulya Islamic Boarding School. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the three Islamic boarding schools have implemented life skills education management through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing and supervising. Planning is carried out comprehensively by involving various parties and considering environmental analysis. Organizing includes dividing tasks according to expertise, coordination, and providing facilities and infrastructure. Implementation includes various skills with varied learning methods and active participation of students. Supervision is carried out periodically through evaluation to ensure the success of the program. However, there are limitations in generalizing research results, exploring the impact of life skills education, and using quantitative methods. This research contributes to the development of educational management science, especially in the application of life skills education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the artistic supervision model in improving elementary school teachers' pedagogical competence. Using a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, data were collected through observation sheets assessing teachers’ teaching competence. The study involved 27 fourth-grade teachers from nine elementary schools in Surabaya, selected through saturated sampling. The study employed the N-gain test using SPSS version 26 to analyze improvements in pedagogical competence. Results showed an average N-gain score of 75.56, indicating a high level of improvement after implementing the artistic supervision model. These findings suggest that the model effectively enhances elementary teachers’ pedagogical abilities. However, the study was limited to fourth-grade teachers in a small number of schools in Surabaya. Future research should expand its scope to various educational settings for a more comprehensive evaluation. Additionally, developing a web-based or Android application for supervision results could enhance efficiency in conducting artistic supervision

Abstract

The quality of education is a key measure of an educational institution's ability to produce high-achieving students. Such institutions must provide effective learning services and ensure education costs remain affordable and aligned with students' needs. This research adopts a quantitative approach, using statistical analysis to process data gathered through questionnaires. The results highlight that service quality (X1) and education costs (X2) have a significant and positive impact on education quality (Y), both independently and collectively. Specifically, the t-test reveals that the t-value for service quality (6.783) exceeds the t-table value (1.992), indicating a significant effect on education quality. Conversely, the t-value for education costs (1.808) falls below the threshold, suggesting no substantial impact. These findings emphasize that service quality is a critical driver of educational quality, while education costs have a less direct effect. The study advocates for prioritizing improvements in service quality, such as better teaching methods and resource availability, while efficiently managing education costs. These strategies are essential to enhancing the overall quality of education and ensuring better outcomes for students. This research provides actionable insights for educational policymakers and institutions aiming for sustainable improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-actualization orientation and self-efficacy on the formation of Islamic character at the Al Hidayah Islamic Boarding School in Jambi City. Using a mixed method approach, data were collected from 140 students through structured questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is a self-actualization orientation (r = 0.75, p < 0.001) and self-efficacy (r = 0.68, p < 0.001) that provide the most significant contribution to the development of Islamic character. In addition, high-quality educational services (r = 0.80, p < 0.001) play an important role in this process. These findings can provide valuable insights that are useful for improving Islamic education policies by emphasizing a holistic approach that integrates various aspects of development and a supportive learning environment. The limitations of this study include a cross-sectional design and a specific sample, which indicates the need for further research in various educational background sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of teamwork and self-efficacy on teacher performance at a public junior high school in Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency. Data were collected through participant observation and questionnaires using a Likert scale of 1-5. The method used was a survey with a correlational approach, while data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics, including path analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) teamwork has a direct positive effect on teacher performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.582 and a path coefficient of 0.412; (2) self-efficacy has a direct positive effect on teacher performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.571 and a path coefficient of 0.392; and (3) teamwork also has a direct positive effect on self-efficacy, with correlation and path coefficients of 0.433 each. These findings confirm that improving teamwork can support the achievement of higher teacher performance, as well as strengthening teacher self-efficacy. This study recommends that schools prioritize the development of teamwork and improving teacher self-efficacy through training, professional development programs, and a collaborative work environment. The limitations of this study include the population being limited to junior high schools in Jonggat, so generalization of the results needs to be done with caution

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of diversification-based marketing strategies at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Mijen Semarang as an effort to increase the attractiveness and sustainability of the institution in the midst of intense competition. The method used is a descriptive case study with a qualitative approach, integrating primary data through interviews and observations, as well as secondary data in the form of internal school documents. The findings show that product diversification such as the Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) program, STEM, and bilingual classes are superior strategies, but have not been supported by optimal digital promotion and adequate community involvement. Key barriers include the lack of social media interaction, alumni participation, and integrated promotion evaluation. Recommendations include optimizing digital marketing, increasing community engagement, and leveraging alumni networks as school ambassadors. This study provides practical and academic insights into the importance of adaptive marketing management for private educational institutions.

Abstract

In the digital era, information and communication technology plays a crucial role in supporting the educational process. One of the widely used technological innovations is the use of LMS (Learning Management System). This article discusses the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS)-based curriculum at Tegal's Vocational Training Institutes (LKP). LMS is expected to enhance the effectiveness of nonformal education by providing flexibility, efficiency, and relevance to workforce needs. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, this study identifies the benefits, challenges, and recommendations for LMS implementation. Findings indicate that LMS supports project-based learning and the Merdeka Curriculum but faces obstacles such as limited technological access, low digital literacy, resistance to change, and implementation costs. Addressing these challenges requires improving technological infrastructure, training educators, providing technical support, developing interactive content, and strengthening funding policies. These measures aim to optimize LMS in fostering inclusive, effective, and relevant education aligned with workforce demands.
