Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the algebraic reasoning of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems in terms of Adversity Quetients. The study was conducted in Tarus Self-help Junior High School. The stages of students’ algebraic reasoning in solving problems were generalisation activities, transformation activities, and global metal-level activities. The instruments used in this study were ARP instruments (Adversity Response Profile), algebraic reasoning tests, and interview guidelines. The results of this study showed that the Climber students did algebraic reasoning on generalisation activities, transformation activities, and global metal-level activity. The Camper students only did algebraic reasoning on general activities. While Quitter students did not do algebraic reasoning on all activities.

Abstract

Spatial thingking ability is a person’s ability to see space as an object of phenomena. Spatial thingking has important role in geography learning to understand the geographic phenomena that occur, physical or social phenomena. The study aims to determine the effect of react on students’ spatial thingking abilities. The research subject was class student X SMAN 1 Tulungagung. Spasial thingking measurements were carried out essay test and analyzed with t-test. The result show that the gain score spatial thingking in experiment class 21,94 and control 18,53. The result hypotesis prove that (REACT) has positive influence on student’s spatial ability.

Abstract

Education in this globalization era is no longer teacher-centered, but student-centered. Students must be more active in the learning process, as constructivistic learning theories. This theory bases the learning process on students who construct their own knowledge. So the teacher's role is not too dominant but still provides guidance during the learning process. Through the TANDUR type quantum learning model students, besides building their own knowledge, also explore learning material and associate it with real life. So the learning process will be more fun, interesting, and arouse students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This quantitative study examined the role of AQ on English proficiency. The four dimensions of AQ named Control (x1), Ownership (x2), Reach (x3) and Endurance (x4) were independent variables while TOEIC score (y) was dependent variable. The subjects were 77 students of ELT Department. The result showed that AQ had influenced 15.9% (R2 = .159) to TOEIC score. There was significant influence of CORE to TOEIC score simultaneously (F>Ftable=3.44>2.33). Nevertheless, the result of partial regression analysis showed only Control (t>ttable=2.89>1.66) had significantly influenced TOEIC. Thus, this research had statistically proven that AQ provided minor contribution to students’ English Proficiency.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aims to describe the form of mathematical representation that arises when students understand the relationship between changes in the coefficient of trigonometric functions with their graphical functions through GeoGebra media. Students in a class of 30 students are selected as research subjects and given a Student Worksheet. From the results of the student's work, it can be seen that there are 3 types of the tendency of representation that are used by students to complete Worksheets. Of the 3 types of trends, each student is taken 1 person who will further discuss the results of his work randomly because it is considered to represent the work of other students. The results showed that students represented Geogebra's appearance in 3 forms namely verbal representation, mathematical expression representation, and visual representation.

Abstract

This research aim is to know the effect of ecopedagogy model on aspect of ecological competence high school students. This study was quasi-experimental research with the Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group. The research subjects consisted of two classes namely XI IIS II as the experimental class and XI IIS I as the control class. This study was conducted at MAN 1 Sintang. The data analysis used independent sample t-test which showed that the ecopedagogy model had an effect on ecological competence students. From the results of the posttest, it can be seen that the experimental class has higher value rather than the control class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of physical and health education assessment in Blitar City Vocational School. The results of this study are all teachers determine the assessment of aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills as a reference for students' final grades. Assessment of attitude aspects is done by observing students during learning and the State Vocational School adds the results of attendance as a reference for attitude assessment. Assessment of aspects of knowledge of all teachers implementing reciprocal techniques for their students. Assessment of psychomotor aspects by all teachers is carried out by giving practice tests to each student. The final grade of students is done by analyzing the results of the scores on all aspects based on the formula that was previously planned by each teacher.
