Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine the effectiveness of the main level violin textbook that has been made in terms of students' violin playing skills during pretest and posttest at the Music Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The use of quantitative methods with the type of quasi experiment and one-group pretest-posttest design in this study. The use of inferential analysis in the form of a normality test with the Shapiro-wilk method with a sig value 0.05 of 0.889 and 0.906 so that the data is normally distributed (symmetrical). Hypothesis testing using the paired sample t test found that the average test of violin playing skills during the pretest was 76.09 and the posttest was 78.82, an increase of 2.73. Other results are also shown by t count (t0) which is -2.725 and t table which is 2.228, because t count is negative then two tailed hypothesis testing is done with left side testing with the results that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The mean difference figure of -2.727 shows the average difference in violin playing skills tests on pretest and posttest activities. The significance results of the pretest and posttest activities show that the correlation between the two conditions is unidirectional, strong, and significant. These results are shown in the significance value which is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 0.05). Therefore, the main level violin textbook made is said to be effective in terms of the three results obtained.Keywords: textbook, violin, skills

Abstract

Belajar Bersama Maestro (BBM) merupakan wahana belajar di mana peserta didik terlibat dalam proses kreatif yang dilakukan para maestro. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana program Belajar Bersama Maestro menjadi wadah pengembangan seni untuk siswa siswi tingkat SMA. Metode penelitian ini secara deskriptif dengan sumber data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam program Belajar Bersama Maestro pada sanggar Padnecwara pimpinan ibu Retno Maruti terdapat beberapa program untuk mengembangkan potensi pendidikan seni secara non formal pada siswa siswi tingkat SMA yaitu: pelatihan tari Rantaya dan Kumolo Bumi, pelatihan tata rias, pelatihan tata busana, serta pelatihan tata panggung dan artistik. Melalui program-program ini, siswa-siswi dapat mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka di berbagai bidang seni, serta mengasah kemampuan mereka dalam hal tata rias, tata busana, dan tata panggung. Program Belajar Bersama Maestro ini memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa-siswi untuk belajar dari para ahli di bidang seni dan memperluas wawasan mereka dalam dunia seni secara keseluruhan. Kata kunci: Belajar bersama maestro, program, pendidikan seni, SMA Learning with the Maestro (BBM) program in the development of art education in high schools AbstractLearning with the Maestro (BBM) is a learning platform where students engage in the creative processes conducted by maestros. The aim of this study is to describe how the Learning with the Maestro program serves as a medium for the development of art for high school students. This descriptive study uses data from observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that within the Learning with the Maestro program at the Padnecwara studio, led by Mrs. Retno Maruti, several programs exist to develop the potential of non-formal art education for high school students. These programs include training in Rantaya and Kumolo Bumi dance, makeup training, costume design training, and stage and artistic training. Through these programs, students can develop their skills and knowledge in various arts fields, as well as hone their abilities in makeup, costume design, and stage management. Abstract

Banyak alumni sarjana di Indonesia yang tidak bekerja sesuai dengan Program Studinya. Alumni Program Studi Seni Musik seringkali harus memiliki beberapa pekerjaan sekaligus, beriwarusaha, atau bekerja secara paruh waktu. Tidak jarang para alumni harus bekerja di luar industri kreatif agar dapat bertahan hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah keaktifan dalam kegiatan di luar perkuliahan, jurusan/peminatan, ketersediaan pekerjaan, serta dukungan orang tua berpengaruh terhadap kesesuaian pekerjaan alumni dengan Program Studi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data melalui kuesioner Google Form yang dibagikan kepada alumni Program Studi Seni Musik Universitas X yang lulus tahun 2017-2022. Respon yang didapat sebanyak 95 (32% dari jumlah populasi) kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (95%) mendapat pekerjaan kurang dari enam bulan setelah kelulusan. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa kegiatan di luar perkuliahan, jurusan/peminatan, serta dukungan orang tua tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kesesuaian pekerjaan alumni dengan Program Studi. Sedangkan, ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kesesuaian pekerjaan. Besarnya pengaruh ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan terhadap kesesuaian pekerjaan memiliki persamaan regresi Y = 3,044 + 0,501X. Jika ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan meningkat, maka kesesuaian pekerjaan juga semakin tinggi. Adapun variabel ketersediaan pekerjaan memiliki keterkaitan yang erat dengan kesesuaian pekerjaan alumni sebesar 21.2%.Kata kunci: seni musik, alumni, kesesuaian pekerjaan, ketersediaan pekerjaan, tracer study

Abstract

Fenomena selfie adalah salah satu bagan dari penyakit kejiwaan, yang bukan hanya berkaitan dengan domain psikologi, melainkan juga terhubung dengan pelbagai disiplin yang kompleks, termasuk juga seni. Dalam perspektif seni, fenomena selfie, menimbulkan kontradiksi yang memunculkan kompleksitas tegangan antara ekspresi dan nilai-nilai, ketika dianalisis dari perspektif aksiologi. Artikel ini menegaskan keprihatinan, betapa keberadaan selfie sering kali mengabaikan aspek etis, yang disebabkan terlalu mengedepankan motif estetis. Pentingnya memperhatikan nilai-nilai etis dalam konstruksi dan reproduksi seni, termasuk selfie, menuntut refleksi tentang tanggung jawab moral dan sosial. Kesadaran akan dampak destrukstifnya terhadap individu dan masyarakat, karenanya perlu mengglorifikasikan pentingnya kesadaran ekspresi seni, termasuk selfie, yang lebih bertanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, artikel ini menegaskan pentingnya nilai-nilai etis dan kreativitas sebagai landasan utama dalam ekspresi dan apresiasi seni, yang semakin terhubung secara digital di era kontemporer ini. Kata kunci: Selfie dan aksiologi seni, nilai-nilai etis dalam seni, tanggung jawab sosial dan moral seni Towards a comprehensive understanding of the selfie phenomenon: Exploring its contradictions within the axiological framework of art AbstractThe selfie phenomenon is a form of mental illness that not only relates to the domain of psychology, but is also connected to various complex disciplines, including art. From an artistic perspective, the selfie phenomenon creates a contradiction that creates a complex tension between expression and values, when analysed from an axiological perspective. This article highlights the concern that selfies often neglect ethical aspects due to the overemphasis on aesthetic motives. The importance of ethical values in the construction and reproduction of art, including selfies, demands reflection on moral and social responsibility. Awareness of its destructive impact on individuals and society, therefore, needs to glamorise the importance of a more responsible consciousness of artistic expression, including selfies. Abstract

Competence is a skill that everyone must possess to complete various tasks. With constantly evolving work challenges, competencies must always follow the dynamics of the development of job challenges. This study revealed the phenomenon of the profession of a class teacher in elementary school education, which has significant challenges in the teaching and learning process and is a big concern for the government. Therefore, understanding the phenomenon of teachers as an educator profession is very important in understanding how to design and increase the professional competence of classroom teachers in musical instruments, such as recorders. The research will focus on the class teacher who teaches the art of music through recorders at the elementary school in the field of art knowledge, particularly the music arts. This study explores the problems of how classroom teachers achieve essential competencies to teach music knowledge. The data collected results from observations of classroom teacher training on music art learning organized in collaboration between Yamaha Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2022. In training to improve the competence of class teachers, many need to be revealed and need solutions. So, this study aims to design various things that can improve the competence of elementary school class teachers in providing knowledge of music art. Abstract

Kesenian Can-macanan Kaddhuk eksistensinya mulai turun karena maraknya kesenian modern. Can-macanan Kaddhuk  memiliki fungsi penting sebagai media edukasi penyampaian pesan moral kepada penonton terutama anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk pertunjukan, makna simbolik, dan upaya pelestarian Can-macanan Kaddhuk.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bentuk pertunjukan Can-macanan Kaddhuk terdiri dari tiga bagian yaitu: pembuka, inti, dan penutup. Bagian pembuka berupa permainan musik, bagian inti berupa atraksi Can-macanan Kaddhuk, dan bagian penutup berupa doa. Makna simbolik Can-macanan Kaddhuk meliputi: bentuk macan menyimbolkan kekuatan, warna kostum menyimbolkan karakter macan, atraksi menyimbolkan kekuasaan, alat musik menyimbolkan keselarasan antara musik dan gerakan macan, serta sesajen menyimbolkan penghormatan. Upaya pelestarian Can-macanan Kaddhuk dengan memodifikasi kostum dan melakukan arisan setiap dua minggu sekali. Rekomendasi bagi peneliti selanjutnya adalah dapat mengkaji tentang pengaruh eksistensi kesenian Can-macanan Kaddhuk terhadap penanaman karakter dan tingkah laku anak. Rekomendasi bagi masyarakat yaitu harus melestarikan kesenian Can-macanan Kaddhuk, karena kesenian ini dapat menjadi pesan moral dalam menjalani kehidupan. Kata kunci: Makna simbolik, kesenian, can-macanan kaddhuk The symbolic meaning of Pendalungan art Can-macanan Kaddhuk as an entity of Jember regency AbstractThe existence of Can-macanan Kaddhuk art has been declining due to the rise of modern arts. Can-macanan Kaddhuk plays an important role as an educational medium for conveying moral messages to the audience, especially children. This study aims to understand the performance structure, symbolic meaning, and preservation efforts of Can-macanan Kaddhuk. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that the Can-macanan Kaddhuk performance consists of three parts: the opening, the core, and the closing. The opening part includes musical play, the core part features the Can-macanan Kaddhuk attraction, and the closing part consists of a prayer. The symbolic meanings of Can-macanan Kaddhuk include: the tiger shape symbolizes strength, the costume colors symbolize the tiger's character, the attractions symbolize power, the musical instruments symbolize harmony between music and tiger movements, and the offerings symbolize respect. Preservation efforts for Can-macanan Kaddhuk include costume modifications and bi-weekly community gatherings. Recommendations for future researchers include studying the impact of Can-macanan Kaddhuk's existence on children's character development and behavior. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian Pengembangan Video Pembelajaran Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar untuk siswa kelas X SMA di Kota Pontianak ini ada tiga hal yaitu: (1) Mengembangkan media pembelajaran Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar melalui video; (2) Mengetahui kelayakan produk video pembelajaran interaktif Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar. Video pembelajaran Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar merupakan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang disesuaikan untuk siswa kelas X SMA di Kota Pontianak. Target secara umum untuk mengetahui ketertarikan siswa kelas X SMA di Kota Pontianak dalam mempelajari Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar sebagai salah satu tari tradisional melalui video pembelajaran yang telah tervalidasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RnD), sehingga didapatkan hasil yang layak dari video tutorial Tari Jepin Kembang Manggar yang sudah tervalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa calon pengguna.Kata kunci: media pembelajaran tari, Jepin Kembang Manggar Developing Jepin Kembang Manggar dance learning videos for high school students AbstractThe research objectives of developing a Jepin Kembang Manggar dance learning video for class X SMA students in Pontianak City are three things, namely: (1) Developing learning media for the Jepin Kembang Manggar Dance through video; (2) Knowing the feasibility of the Jepin Kembang Manggar Dance interactive learning video product. Abstract

International Loving Association (INLA) merupakan sebuah asosiasi cinta kasih alam semesta. Kegiatan INLA dalam bidang pendidikan seni dan budaya salah satunya ialah Tarian. Setiap tarian INLA memiliki ciri visualisasi yang unik dan terdapat makna tersendiri di setiap penyajiannya. Salah satunya adalah tari Bersandar di Pelukan Bumi Pertiwi Alami Sejahtera Selalu yang dibawakan oleh Tim Kolaborasi Sekolah Maitreyawira Batam, sekaligus sebagai obyek penulisan artikel ini. Hasil analisis aspek-aspek koreografi pada tari tersebut, mampu mendeskripsikan makna dan simbol yang ingin dihadirkan koreografer kepada penonton. Metode kualitatif serta pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara wawancara, observasi dan pengamatan dokumentasi serta studi pustaka, melalui pendekatan kajian teks dan konteks serta mencipta lewat tari. Adapun hasil pembahasan antara lain mendeskripsikan penyajian, serta menjabarkan makna simbolik dalam komposisi gerak tari. Melihat secara tekstual dan kreativitas koreografer, mencari dan mengulik koreografi di dalam tarian ini, secara tidak langsung akan menemukan tujuan utama pencipta ingin menyampaikan kepada penonton. Kata kunci: Simbolik, komposisi, Tari INLA, bersandar di pelukan bumi pertiwi alami sejahtera selalu The symbolic meaning of the INLA Dance composition "Bersandar di pelukan bumi pertiwi alami sejahtera selalu" AbstractInternational Loving Association (INLA) is an association of universal love. One of INLA's activities in the field of arts and culture education is dance. Each INLA dance has unique visual characteristics and each presentation has its own meaning. One of them is the dance Bersandar di Pelukan Bumi Pertiwi Alami Sejahtera Selalu, performed by the Batam Maitreyawira School's Collaboration Team, as well as the object of writing this article. The results of the analysis of the choreographic aspects of the dance are able to describe the meaning and symbols that the choreographer wants to present to the audience. Qualitative methods and data collection in this study were conducted through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study, through text and context study approaches and creation through dance. The results of the discussion include describing the presentation, as well as describing the symbolic meaning in the composition of dance movements. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate a guitar lesson conducted based on 7M learning strategy at Apoyando Music School in Purworejo, Central Java. During the lessons, effective strategies are needed, so that students may get fun and meaningful learning experiences. One of the strategies that can be used in learning is 7M. This strategy allows students to improve their skills independently and systematically. In addition, it can make learning more effective as it demands students to be active and creative during learning. This study employed the qualitative method with the case study approach.Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. To confirm the validity of the data, extended observation and data triangulation were performed. The 7M strategy consists of Membaca/Reading, Melihat/Viewing, Mendengarkan/Listening, Merekam/Recording, Membandingkan/Comparing, Mendiskusikan/Discussing, and Merefleksikan/Reflecting. In addition to implementing the 7M strategy, teachers’ knowledge and skills in conducting guitar lessons are needed to make the learning process more creative, innovative, interesting, contextual, and based on students’ needs.Keywords: Creative, guitar lesson, innovative, practicePembelajaran Praktik Gitar Berbasis 7M AbstrakDalam pembelajaran praktik gitar diperlukan strategi yang efektif, agar pembelajaran tersebut menyenangkan dan bermakna bagi peserta didik. Strategi ini merupakan suatu strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik di sekolah musik Apoyando dalam berlatih dan bermain alat musik gitar secara mandiri dan terstruktur. Selain itu, strategi pembelajaran ini dapat menjadikan pembelajaran efektif yang melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajarannya. Adapun strategi yang diterapkan meliputi strategi membaca, melihat, merekam, memainkan,  mendengarkan, membandingkan, mendiskusikan dan merefleksikan dari apa yang telah dilakukan. Di samping itu, pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru di Sekolah Musik Apyondo Purworejo Jawa Tengah dalam pembelajaran praktik gitar menjadi lebih kreatif, inovatif, menarik, kontekstual dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi . Keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perpanjangan pengamatan dan triangulasi.Kata kunci: pembelajaran, praktik, gitar, kreatif, inovatif

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji upaya yang dilakukan oleh perajin untuk mempertahankan kerajinan tradisional. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner yang mencakup etnografi untuk mengkaji budaya dalam masyarakat, dan pendidikan. Dari hasil pengumpulan dan analisis data dan informasi, dapat diketahui bahwa dalam budaya Indonesia banyak hal yang harus dipertahankan, baik tradisional maupun artistik, seperti yang dilakukan masyarakat Bumi Jaya untuk mempertahankan kerajinan tradisional di Banten. Di era globalisasi ini, seni tradisional mengalami masa-masa yang stagnan untuk terus bertahan dan diakui, banyak upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh pengrajin untuk mempertahankan kerajinan tradisional. Seperti yang dilakukan perajin Bumi Jaya untuk mempertahankan gerabahnya, di mana gerabah Bumi Jaya telah dikenal sejak masa kesultanan yang kemudian akan datang kepada generasi berikutnya sehingga dapat dikatakan sebagai seni tradisional. Pengrajin Bumi Jaya terus berusaha mempertahankan kerajinan gerabah tradisional dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya dilingkungan keluarga, perajin menurunkan ke generasi selanjutnya lewat aktivitas sehari hari yang melibatkan anak ketika proses pembuatan gerabah, yang di sebut dengan pendidikan keluarga orang tua memberikan peran penting dalam pendidikan keluarga, dengan pendidikan keluarga ini bertujuan menurunkan keterampilan membuat gerabah dan mengajarkan nilai nilai kehidupan seperti kepedulian dan kekeluargaan.Kata kunci: gerabah, Bumi Jaya, pendidikan  Bumi Jaya gerabah engineering: Family education in Bumi JayaAbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the efforts made by craftsmen to maintain traditional crafts. From the results of data and information collection and analysis, it can be seen that in Indonesian culture there are many things that must be preserved, both traditional and artistic, such as what the Bumi Jaya people do to maintain traditional crafts in Banten. In this era of globalization, traditional arts experience stagnant times to continue to survive and be recognized, many efforts can be made by craftsmen to maintain traditional crafts. Like what Bumi Jaya craftsmen do to maintain their pottery, where Bumi Jaya pottery has been known since the sultanate period which will then come to the next generation so that it can be said as a traditional art. Bumi Jaya craftsmen continue to try to maintain traditional pottery crafts in various ways, one of which is in the family environment, craftsmen pass it on to the next generation through daily activities that involve children when the pottery-making process, which is called family education, parents play an important role in family education, This family education aims to reduce pottery making skills and teach the values of life such as caring and kinship.Keywords: pottery, Bumi Jaya, education
