Abstract

Indonesia, a nation rich in natural resources, faces challenges in providing equitable access to education, particularly for children in remote areas. Open High Schools offer an alternative platform for students facing limitations in accessing regular schools. In West Java, the Open High School program aims to improve education participation rates. However, effective management of Learning Activity Places (LAPs) remains a crucial aspect of ensuring a conducive learning environment. This research investigates the urgency of LAP managerial training for Open High School teachers to enhance their LAP management skills. A phenomenological qualitative approach was used, and data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The training program was well-planned, employing the andragogy approach, and focused on managerial aspects, including teamwork, module development, and LAP challenges. The evaluation showed improved LAP management skills, but some areas for improvement were identified.

Abstract

Curahtakir Village, located in Jember, is affiliated with PTPN XII and serves as a prominent rubber-producing community. A significant proportion of the village's population comprises women who are actively engaged in rubber-related labor. A significant quantity of rubber seeds is discarded and commercially traded at a price range of IDR 2000-3000 per kilogram. The absence of sufficient knowledge regarding the local potential necessitates the provision of training programs focused on the conversion of rubber seeds into high-value food products. The rubber seed chip products have the potential to enhance the local wisdom of Curahtakir Village. This research explains women's participation, empowerment through training for women, and training based on local wisdom. The study involved conducting interviews with female rubber workers, trainees, and members of the local community. The village chiefs serve as supplementary sources of information to obtain insights on the involvement of women in training programs. The findings indicated a significant level of active participation among women. During the pre-planning, the activities aimed at promoting women's participation persist in their planning and evaluation, despite encountering various obstacles, such as the challenges posed by their existing work commitments. The implementation continued to run well, the participants continued to follow the activity process to completion.

Abstract

In Selawangi Village, there were 34 cases of stunting. This study aimed to determine the socioeconomic conditions of families with stunted children in Selawani Village. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis method applied a qualitative descriptive method through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Sampling used purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study, the socioeconomic factors of families with stunted children indicated that the families are primarily from farm laborer families. The parents only attended elementary school and earned less than the regional minimum wage. They rent a house with electricity. Most of them still use traditional sanitation systems. Not all families have vehicles and cell phones. A low income will hinder a child from growing and developing optimally since their family's income mainly determines a child's nutritional intake.

Abstract

One uniqueness that can be identified as a historical heritage in Indonesia is Batik. Almost every region in Indonesia has its characteristics, including motifs, color patterns, and philosophical meanings. In Jambi, Batik is always worn on formal occasions and has even become the community's uniform at various events. On the other hand, in terms of sales, MSMEs must maintain their brand quality and compete competitively in the market. Therefore, this study investigates consumers' brand image, attitude, and intention to buy Batik and the decision of consumer behavior to buy Batik as an implementation of the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). One hundred eighty-eight participants from Jambi province participated in filling out this online questionnaire. Then, the data that has been collected is tested using PLS-SEM. The results showed that all elements of TRA had a positive effect on the buying behavior of Batik in Jambi.
