Abstract

Self-regulated learning is one illustration of the development of students' character, where this character is absolute for students. Based on this, researchers are interested in the condition of learning independence and the factors that influence it (peers, learning motivation, and self-efficacy). The approach used in this research is quantitative. The data collection method used is the explanatory research method (questionnaire). The questionnaire consists of 47 statements and each statement has 4 choices. All statements in the questionnaire are valid and reliable to test (CFA). This research used a simple random sampling technique with SMM analysis with 120 respondents. The results show that peers directly have a positive effect (0.0723) on learning independence, but it is not significant (0.3965> 0.05). Different things can be seen in the indirect influence, namely on learning motivation, self-efficacy which shows a positive influence (m1 of 0.0971, m2 of 0.1783, m1 and m2 of 0.2444) and significance (BootLLCI and BootULCI > 0).

The mixed methods approach or mixed method approach is a research approach that involves the integration or unification of qualitative and quantitative data research. This research is located in the Jember Regency, with respondents including parents, the community, stunting program managers, and stakeholders. The Pentahelix formulation development research results began with planning the learning program. The first step is to conduct a specific and sensitive service assessment. The assessment results are used to develop an education service menu based on the local context and community needs. The final component is the alliance among the Pentahelix elements. Evidence-based policy collaboration is produced through the cooperation of the government and academics, while the media and community deliver direct education using materials prepared by academics. Business actors help ensure sustainable access by providing infrastructure or supporting products. Academics and the government monitor and evaluate the program's effectiveness for future policy improvements. The results of the Pentahelix-based learning program begin with a community assessment, which is an evaluation process to understand the community's needs and the program's effectiveness.

Abstract

This research analyzes the adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) in self-directed learning among Kejar Paket B students at Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) Sidoarjo. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytic approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis to explore the experiences of students, tutors, and policymakers. The findings indicate that Generative AI plays a significant role in enhancing accessibility to materials, learning flexibility, and student motivation through interactive explanations and instant feedback. However, the adoption of this technology faces complex challenges, such as student dependency on AI outputs, tutor resistance due to limited technical-pedagogical training, and the risk of content inaccuracies. The findings also reveal tutors' strategies in limiting the use of technology and the role of policymakers through tiered training and flexible regulations. Theoretically, this research reinforces the relevance of constructivist theory and the Diffusion of Innovations Theory, emphasizing the importance of technology alignment with local needs, learning scaffolding, and a balance between innovation and human interaction. Practical implications include recommendations for comprehensive training for tutors, development of adaptive curriculum-based guidelines, periodic evaluation to minimize risks, and multidisciplinary collaboration in formulating holistic policies. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of AI adoption in non-formal education with limited infrastructure and diverse student backgrounds, while offering inclusive solutions to maximize the potential of technology without sacrificing pedagogical values.
