Abstract

This research is a development research with the aim to develop the learning of mathematics oriented REACT and STEM to see the understanding of mathematical concepts of students. The learning tools developed are lesson plans, strudent worksheets and sudent books. The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The material used in the learning device developed is the Bangun Datar material with the research subject being class VII students of SMP N 1 Takengon which consists of 28 students. The instruments used in this study were RPP validation sheets, worksheets, modules, concept understanding tests, and teacher and student response questionnaires to the developed tools. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results obtained are learning tools are included in the valid category, based on the results of validation by validators of mathematics education experts, learning model experts and learning media experts. The device is categorized as practical to use based on 1) the results of observations of the teacher's ability to carry out the learning process using the learning tools developed are classified as good, 2) the teacher's response to the device is very good, and 3) the student response is very good to the device. REACT and STEM oriented learning tools are also effectively used to see students' conceptual understanding abilities which show that the average score of students is more than the KKM set by the school, which is 83.60 > 70

Abstract

Pada masa covid-19 pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring (online), sehingga dibutuhkan beberapa alat belajar berbantuan ICT yang mampu menunjang efektivitas pembelajaran dengan baik yaitu Geogebra. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk menelaah  efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Swasta di kota cimahi, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih tiga kelas yang banyaknya 80 dari satu SMK swasta di kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seperangkat tes kemampuan penalaran yang berbentuk soal uraian sebanyak 4 soal. Soal tersebut sudah memenuhi soal yang baik berdasarkan validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan indeks kesukaran. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 18 diperoleh hasil bahwa model berbasis masalah dengan bantuan Geogebra dengan model berbasis masalah maupun biasa memiliki nilai sign. sebesar 0,000, karena nilai sign. < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dibandingkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah maupun model biasa ditinjau dari  kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Dengan demikian penerapan model berbasis masalah berbantuan Geogebra lebih efektif dibandingkan model berbasis masalah maupun konvensional  terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis.  Abstract During the Covid-19 period, learning was carried out online, so it needed several ICT-assisted learning tools that were able to support the effectiveness of learning well, namely Geogebra. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Geogebra-aided problem-based learning on abilities. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was all private vocational students in the city of Cimahi, while the sample was selected in three classes with a total of 80 from one private vocational school in the city of Cimahi. The instrument used in this study was a set of reasoning ability tests in the form of 4-item description questions. These questions have fulfilled good questions based on validity, reliability, distinguishing features and difficulty index. Based on the results of calculations using SPSS 18 shows that the problem-based model base on Geogebra with problem-based and ordinary models has a sign value. of 0.000, because of the sign value. <0.05, it can be concluded that learning using a Geogebra-assisted problem-based model is more effective than problem-based learning models and ordinary models in terms of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Therefore the results are obtained the application of a Geogebra-based problem-based model is more effective than a problem-based or conventional model in terms of mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengamatan di SMP Karya Bhakti Panaragan menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik masih terbilang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari model pembelajaran Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) dengan strategi pembelajaran Lightening The Learning Climate terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas VII SMP Karya Bhakti Panaragan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik acak kelas. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 kelas VII berjumlah 30 peserta didik . Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Tes dan Dokumentasi. Tes dalam penelitian ini untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik menggunakan tes berbentuk uraian sebanyak 8 soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah validitas, taraf kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan reliabilitas. Teknik Uji prasyarat adalah normalitas, homogenitas. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji anava satu arah dan uji scheffe. Hasil penelitian ini adalah uji anava satu jalan menghasilkan nilai sig.<0,05 yang artinya H0 ditolak menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) dengan strategi Lightening The Learning Climate terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis; lightening the learning climate; means-ends analysis (MEA)AbstractThis research was motivated by observations at SMP Karya Bhakti Panaragan showing that students' mathematical problem solving abilities were still relatively low. The purpose of this research was to determine whether there is an effect of the Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model with the Lightening the Learning Climate learning strategy on the mathematical problem solving abilities of seventh grade students of SMP Karya Bhakti Panaragan. The method used in this research is quantitative methods. Taking the subject in this study was using a randomized class technique. The subjects used in this study were 3 class VII totaled 30 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests and documentation. The test in this study was to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities using a test in the form of a description of 8 questions. The data analysis techniques used were validity, level of difficulty, distinguishing power, and reliability. The prerequisite test techniques are normality, homogeneity. Hypothesis testing using one-way ANOVA test and Scheffe test. The results of this reseach indicate that One-way ANOVA test produces sig. <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected there is an effect of the use of the Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model with the Lightening the Learning Climate strategy on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.Keywords: Lightening the learning climate; mathematical problem solving ability; means-ends analysis (MEA)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the mathematical representation ability of students with sequential and random thinking styles in solving HOTS-based mathematical problems. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument that used in this research is the main instrument (researcher) and supporting instrument (questionnaire, test, and interviews). The data collection was carried out by online due to the Covid-19 pandemic conditions which made it impossible to collect the data directly. The data analysis techniques of research are reduction data, presentation data, and drawing conclusions.. The subjects of this study were four students with CS, AS, CR, and AR thinking style. The results of research showed that students with a concrete sequential thinking style were able to meet the indicators of visual, symbolic, and verbal mathematical representation abilities. Students with an abstract sequential thinking style are able to meet the indicators of visual and verbal mathematical representations. Students with a concrete random thinking style are able to meet the indicators of visual, symbolic, and verbal mathematical representation abilities. Students with abstract random thinking style are only able to meet the indicators of visual mathematical representation ability in solving HOTS-based mathematical problems.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan mahasiswa PGSD dalam menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Bertipe HOTS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dekriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 3 yang menempuh mata kuliah Geometri Prodi PGSD Universitas PGRI Madiun sebanyak 28 mahasiswa. Data berupa hasil tes dan wawancara dianalisis secara kualitatif. Peneliti menganalisis data hasil tes dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika bertipe HOTS. Hasil skor tes mahasiswa dikelompokkan menjadi tiga terdiri dari mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi (nilai tes lebih dari 85), mahasiswa berkemampuan sedang (nilai tes antara 65-85, mahasiswa berkemampuan rendah (nilai tes kurang dari 65). Selanjutnya untuk wawancara, peneliti memilih satu mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu mahasiswa berkemampuan sedang, dan satu mahasiswa berkemampuan rendah secara purposive. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 5 mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi, 10 mahasiswa berkemampuan sedang dan 13 mahasiswa berkemampuan rendah. Dilihat dari hasil analisis skor tes dan wawancara,  kemampuan mahasiswa PGSD dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika bertipe HOTS masih cukup rendah. Mahasiswa harus mampu memenuhi ketiga indikator untuk menunjukkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS. Indikator yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika bertipe HOTS yaitu menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan memberikan solusi.

Abstract

The research in this article aims to develop a picture book based on visual thinking strategies for thematic learning in elementary schools. This is specifically intended to test the feasibility of the media developed in aspects of 1) material, 2) media, 3) teacher response, and 4) student response. This research is categorized as research and development. Research subjects for limited trials were teachers and third-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem consisting of 2 teachers and 9 students. The type of research is qualitative evaluative. The data were obtained from the validation assessment of material experts, media experts, teachers, and students' responses. The data analysis technique was conducted through flow and constant comparison methods. Based on the results, the assessments of the media developed are 1) material experts earned a score of 62 with suitable category, 2) media experts obtained a score of 45 with suitable category, 3) teacher responses scored 44 with very suitable category, and 4) student responses gained a score of 14.1 with very suitable category. To conclude, the picture book based on visual thinking strategies is suitable for learning media in elementary schools.Penelitian dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku bergambar berbasis strategi berpikir visual untuk pembelajaran tematik di sekolah dasar. Hal ini secara khusus dimaksudkan untuk menguji kelayakan media yang dikembangkan pada aspek 1) materi, 2) media, 3) respon guru, dan 4) respon siswa. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek penelitian pada penelitian terbatas ini adalah guru-guru dan siswa kelas tiga di SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem yang terdiri dari 2 guru dan 9 siswa. Data diperoleh dari penilaian validasi ahli materi, ahli media, guru, dan tanggapan siswa. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan metode perbandingan aliran dan konstan. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian terhadap media yang dikembangkan adalah 1) ahli materi memperoleh skor 62 dengan kategori sesuai, 2) ahli media memperoleh skor 45 dengan kategori sesuai, 3) tanggapan guru memperoleh skor 44 dengan kategori sangat sesuai, dan 4) Respon siswa memperoleh skor 14,1 dengan kategori sangat sesuai. Kesimpulannya, buku bergambar berbasis strategi berpikir visual cocok untuk media pembelajaran di sekolah awal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning terintegrasi keterampilan Abad 21 untuk peserta didik kelas X SMA yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model Plomp. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu: (1) fase investigasi awal (preliminary research); (2) fase prototipe (prototyping phase); dan (3) fase penilaian (assessment phase). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu silabus, RPP, dan LKPD yang divalidasi oleh tiga validator, uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada enam peserta didik kelas X SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. Hasil validasi dari ketiga validator menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran adalah valid dengan rata-rata 3,40 untuk silabus; 3,49 untuk RPP; 3,52 untuk LKPD; 3,46 untuk soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif, hasil angket respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD yaitu 87,04%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan abad 21 dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning untuk peserta didik pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus kelas X SMA dinyatakan sangat valid dan sangat praktis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis higher order thinking skill (HOTS) yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa dalam melatih kemampuan berpikir tingkat tingginya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Proses pengembangan LKPD diadaptasi dari model pengembangan 4-D (Four-D Models) yang terdiri dari pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Tahap pendefinisian meliputi analisis awal-akhir siswa, analisis tugas, analisis konsep dan spesifikasi tujuan. Tahap perancangan terdiri dari penyusunan tes, pemilihan media, dan pemilihan format. Tahap pengembangan terdiri dari uji kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Tahap penyebaran ini dilakukan dengan membagikan LKPD berbasis HOTS ke sekolah lain, selanjutnya siswa diminta untuk mengisi lembar angket respon terhadap LKPD yang dibagikan. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validasi diperoleh skor rata-rata, yaitu aspek materi sebesar 3,73 dengan kategori valid, aspek konstruksi/media sebesar 4,28 dengan kategori sangat valid dan  aspek bahasa sebesar 4,06 dengan kategori valid. Hasil penilaian kepraktisan siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 4,15 dengan kategori praktis dan kepraktisan guru sebesar  3,60 dengan kategori praktis. Selanjutnya, hasil penilaian keefektifan melalui tes HOTS menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 86,7% dan respon siswa menunjukkan respon positif terhadap LKPD. Hasil penilaian tes menunjukkan rata-rata pretes diperoleh 30,76, sedangkan postes diperoleh 74,09. Artinya, terdapat peningkatan rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dari pretes ke postes dalam ujicoba lapangan. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to develop worksheets based on higher order thinking skills that facilitate students in practicing their higher order thinking skills. The research method used is research and development. The worksheet development process is adapted from the 4-D model which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The defining stage includes preliminary-final analysis, task analysis, concept analysis and goal specification. The design stage consists of composing tests, selecting media, and selecting formats. The development stage consists of testing the validity, practicality and effectiveness. The dissemination stage was carried out by distributing worksheets based on higher order thinking skills to other schools, then students were asked to fill out a questionnaire response to the worksheets that were distributed. Based on the results of the validation assessment, an average score was obtained, namely the material aspect was 3,73 with the valid category, the construction / media aspect was 4,28 with the very valid category and the language aspect was 4,06 with the valid category. The results of the student practicality assessment obtained an average score of 4,15 with the practical category and the teacher's practicality of 3,60 with the practical category. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness assessment through the higher order thinking skill test showed a classical completeness percentage of 86,7% and student responses showed a positive response to the worksheet. The results of the test assessment showed that the pretest average was 30,76, while the post-test was 74,09. That is, there is an increase in the average value of higher order thinking skills from pretest to posttest in field trials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perberdaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional yang ditinjau dari gender (laki-laki dan perempuan) dan level sekolah (tinggi, sedang, rendah) di MTsN Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Jenis peneltian adalah eksperimen dan desain penelitian yang digunakan Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dengan variabel bebas model PBL dan konvensional, variabel terikat adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan variabel moderator adalah gender dan level sekolah dengan  jumlah sampel sebanyak 146 siswa. Teknik pengolahan data dengan menggunakan uji-t, uji-U dan uji ANOVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang belajar dengan model PBL lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang belajar dengan model konvensional di sekolah level tinggi, sedang dan rendah. (2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang belajar dengan  model PBL lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang belajar dengan model konvensional.(3) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki (4)  Tidak  terdapat  interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gender  dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. (5) Tidak  terdapat interaksi antara  model pembelajaran  dan level sekolah dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: Gender, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, level sekolah, Problem Based Learning AbstractThis study aims to determine the difference in mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who obtain Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models with students who use conventional learning models in terms of gender (male and female) and school level (high, medium, low) in MTsN Tanah Datar District. This type of research is the experimental and research design used by the Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design with independent variables PBL and conventional models, the dependent variable is the ability to solve mathematical problems and the moderator variable is gender and school level with a total sample of 146 students. Data processing techniques using t-test, U-test and two-way ANOVA test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The mathematical problem-solving ability of students who learn with PBL models is higher than those who learn with conventional models in high, medium and low level schools. (2) Mathematical problem solving ability of male and female students learning with PBL models is higher than those learning with conventional models. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' metaphorical thinking skills in the statistic method subject during COVID-19 Pandemic using three stages of metaphorical thinking. This research was conducted from March to May 2020. Subjects in this study were 11 students of class IIB of Mathematics Education Study Program Mahasaraswati University Denpasar. This study uses descriptive analysis techniques. Data collected through tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that students’ metaphorical thinking skills in online learning during COVID-19 Pandemic was still very low where only 20% of students answered correctly at the grounding metaphors stage, 25% at the linking metaphors stage, and only 25% at the redefinitional metaphors stage. Students tend to be confused when required to associate statistical concepts with everyday phenomena and discover the characteristics of the concepts. Online learning due to COVID-19 Pandemic also causes the suit of students to do group discussion as well as the decrease in student motivation primarily in solving metaphorical thinking questions. Some solutions that can be taken to overcome this problem are: 1) Using interactive learning, 2) Using Project-Based learning (PBL), 3) Discussing current trends in learning, 4) Demonstrating assertiveness, and establishing learning rules.
