Abstract

This research aims to analyze the ability of students in mathematical numeracy problem possing. Research data were collected from students of Mathematics Education Universitas PGRI Semarang. The subjects in this research have good communication skills. Data were collected by means of a written numeration test and task-based interview techniques. The data obtained were coded, simplified, then presented, triangulated and then obtained credible data to draw conclusions. The validity of the data used method triangulation and source triangulation was used to obtain credible data. The data collected were analyzed and reduced to include in the data presentation. Data exposure requires further data reduction, then conclusions are drawn. The results showed that there were still a few students who had all three classifications of problem posing abilities, namely pre-solution posing, within-solution posing, and post-solution posing. Students who have pre-solution posing skills can ask questions based on the data provided and can formulate problem solving. Students who have the ability within-solution posing can write down what is known and asked about the problem, raise supporting questions that are relevant to the problem and arrange solutions for supporting questions and problems that are given correctly. Meanwhile, students who have the ability to post-solution posing can raise similar problems after solving the problems given. Students can also arrange solutions to problems that have been made.

Abstract

AbstractMathematical thinking ability is the ability to use reasoning to build mathematical arguments, the ability to develop strategies or methods, understand mathematical content, and the ability to communicate ideas. The mathematical thinking ability as a learning goal and at the same time as a way to learn mathematics is an important ability to be developed in solving problems. One of the factors that influence students' mathematical thinking ability is self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of self-confidence on students' mathematical thinking ability. This research is quantitative research. The sample in this study was 72 students of VIIth grade junior high school students in Kudus Regency, Indonesia. The data collection technique consisted of a written test of mathematical thinking ability and a self-confidence questionnaire. The data analysis technique is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the study showed that self-confidence has a positive and significant effect of 25.5% on mathematical thinking ability. AbstrakKemampuan berpikir matematis adalah kemampuan menggunakan penalaran untuk membangun argumen matematis, kemampuan mengembangkan strategi atau metode, memahami isi matematis, dan kemampuan mengomunikasikan gagasan. Kemampuan berpikir matematis sebagai tujuan pembelajaran dan sekaligus sebagai cara belajar matematika merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk dikembangkan dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa adalah rasa percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 72 siswa kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Kudus, Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes tertulis kemampuan berpikir matematis dan angket kepercayaan diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebesar 25,5% terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis.

Abstract

Maksud diadakannya studi  ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning menggunakan Math City Map berkenaan meningkatnya pencapaian hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan materi balok. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian post-test only control design. Seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagar Alam tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 merupakan populasi penelitian. Tes digunakan untuk melihat apakah ada selisih hasil belajar yang diperoleh dimana tes berupa essay sebanyak 5 soal. Hasil data tes matematika peserta didik dengan model pembelajaran PBL menggunakan Math City Map didapat rata-rata 81 sedangkan hasil belajar siswa yang tidak mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran PBL menggunakan Math City Map sebesar 75. Dengan menggunakan rumus statistik uji t diperoleh t hitung sebesar 7,4878 serta harga t tabel sebesar 1,697 dengan indeks kesalahan 5%.  Determinasi dari studi ini yaitu  model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning  menggunkan Math City Map pada materi balok efektif terhadap meningkatnya pencapaian hasil belajar pelajar di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagar Alam tahun pelajaran 2021/2022.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan suatu kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh siswa yang digunakan untuk memahami suatu konsep, prosedur, serta angka – angka matematika untuk menyelesaikan masalah sehari – hari, sehingga siswa menyadari bahwa matematika berperan penting dalam kehidupan sehari – hari untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan hidup. Literasi numerasi akan membentuk penalaran yang sistematis dan terstruktur. Tetapi kemampuan tersebut belum dikuasi sepenuhnya oleh siswa karena banyak factor, salah satunya adalah keterbatasan media serta penyajian soal yang monoton. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka peneliti merancang instrument soal AKM dengan ethnomatematika berbasis canva untuk mengukur literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar se-Kabupaten Malang.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan model ADDIE. Subyek penelitian adalah 100 siswa sekolah dasar se – Kabupaten Malang. Tahap analisis dimulai dari isi, konteks, dan proses kognitif. Pada tahap desain, peneliti merancang pertanyaan esai berdasarkan konten, konteks, dan AKM berbasis proses kognitif. Validitas berasal dari evaluasi empiris validasi dan uji reliabilitas kelompok kecil. Tahap implementasi menunjukkan bahwa pertanyaan memiliki dampak potensial pada kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Bagian terakhir, tahap evaluasi menunjukkan jika siswa perlu meningkatkan keterampilan literasi numerasi siswa untuk menghadapi era revolusi 4.0.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on mathematical numeracy skills in MTs students on social arithmetic material. This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment). The subjects of this study were all seventh grade students whose school implemented the 2013 curriculum and graded grade increase exam scores above 70. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Gantiwarno as many as 147 people. The sample in this study was determined by using a random sampling technique. The sample in this study were 28 people. The sample of this study were students of MTs Negeri Gantiwarno, Klaten. The instrument used in this study was a test of mathematical numeracy skills in social arithmetic. The inquiry learning approach is measured by the achievement of student learning outcomes using tests of cognitive abilities achieved by students that have been validated and reliable. The data analysis technique used was the ANOVA test, then continued with the Independent Sample t Test. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning model influenced mathematical numeracy by 77.7% and another 22.3% was influenced by other aspects.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangan e-modul berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) dengan model Guided Discovery Learning, sehingga siswa mampu memahami konsep serta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi Vektor. Model pengembangan e-modul berbasis AR meliputi tahapan define, design, develop, disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) E-modul pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menjadi E-Modul berbasis AR, 2) Hasil analisis validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan respon siswa sebagai pengguna dengan perolehan rata- rata skor keseluruhan aspek sebesar 3,38; 3,53 dan 3,48. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa e-modul berbasis AR layak digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik, (3) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar di kelas pembelajaran e-modul sistem AR dan pembelajaran tanpa E-Modul sistem AR dengan nilai P-value < 0,05. Artinya terdapat perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis dan menyelesaikan masalah dan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan e-modul berbasis AR dalam proses pembelajaran materi vektor bangun datar dan bangun ruang yang ditunjukkan dari hasil belajar siswa memenuhi SKBM.AbstractThe purpose of this research is to develop an e-module based on Augmented Reality (AR) with the Guided Discovery Learning model so that students can understand concepts and can improve learning outcomes in Vector material. The AR-based e-module development model includes define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The results showed that: 1) the learning E-module was developed into an AR-based E-Module, 2) The results of the validation analysis by material experts, media experts, and student responses as users obtained an average score of 3.38 for all aspects; 3.53 and 3.48. This states that the AR-based e-module is feasible to use in a very good category, (3) There is a significant difference between learning outcomes in the AR system e-module learning class and learning without an AR system E-Module with a P-value <0.05. This means that there are differences in students' abilities in analyzing and solving problems and learning outcomes by applying AR-based e-modules in the learning process of flat and geometric vector material as shown from student learning outcomes fulfilling the SKBM.

Abstract

Penelitian R&D (Research and Develompment) ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya proses pembelajaran daring pada mata kuliah aplikasi matematika komputer, yaitu terbatasnya media pembelajaran yang menarik, perangkat laptop tidak mendukung aplikasi, dan sinyal internet yang tidak stabil. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengembangkan media video motion graphic yang valid dan praktis. Pengembangan produk menggunakan model ADDIE, yang memiliki lima tahapan: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Penelitian dilakukan di jurusan Pendidikan Matematika UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dengan subjek penelitian adalah 3 ahli materi, 3 ahli media, dan 84 mahasiswa. Teknik angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data berupa angket validasi ahli dan validasi pengguna. Berdasarkan validasi ahli media dan ahli materi, diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa media motion graphic yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan. Pada hasil uji coba terbatas diperoleh kategori sangat layak dengan persentase sebesar 80,22% serta hasil uji coba lapangan diperoleh kategori respon positif mahasiswa sangat layak dengan persentase sebesar 80,03%. Oleh karena itu, produk akhir media motion graphic memenuhi kategori valid dan praktis untuk diterapkan dalam perkuliahan aplikasi matematika komputer.This R&D research (Research and Development) was motivated by the less than optimal online learning experience in computer mathematics application courses, namely the lack of interesting learning resources, the incapability of laptops to run applications, and the unstable internet signals. This research is intended to develop valid and practical motion graphic video media. Product development uses the ADDIE model, which has five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research was conducted in the Department of Mathematics Education at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta with 3 subject matter experts, 3 media experts, and 84 students as subjects. Questionnaire techniques are used to obtain data in the form of expert validation questionnaires and user validation. Based on the validation of media experts and material experts, it was found that the resulting motion graphic media met the eligibility criteria. In the limited trial results, the very feasible category was obtained with a percentage of 80.22%, and the field trial results were obtained in the very feasible category of positive student responses with a percentage of 80.03%. Therefore, the final product of motion graphic media meets the valid and practical criteria to be applied in lectures on computer mathematics applications.

Abstract

Student's difficulties in learning mathematics independently are due to the lack of media that supports the learning process and is practical in use and the lack of freedom to choose their preferred field. The aim is to develop teaching materials in the form of an e-module guided discovery learning model in the HOTS-based independent learning curriculum. The steps of the Guided Discovery Learning Model used in the e-module are the steps according to Polya, namely: (1) understanding the problem; (2) making plans; (3) implementing the plan; (4) looking back or checking again. This type of research is Research and Development (RND), using development steps according to Borg & Gall, which Sugiyono has transformed. The development steps are limited to seven degrees. Among them; are potential and problems, gathering information, product design, product validation, product improvement, product testing, and product revision. The final result is the percentage of design expert validation getting valid criteria. Moreover, the results of student responses obtained exciting measures. As well as the results of student responses obtaining interesting criteria so that e-modules are feasible to be developed for learning materials

Abstract

Numerasi merupakan kemampuan untuk menerapkan pengetahuan matematika di berbagai konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Numerasi menjadi salah satu kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki seorang individu di abad 21. Namun faktanya, numerasi siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor matematika siswa Indonesia pada PISA yang berada dibawah rata-rata skor dunia. Numerasi dapat ditingkatkan melalui bahan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan numerasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi modul dan evaluasi mandiri berorientasi numerasi yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap implementasi dilakukan terhadap 30 orang siswa kelas XI MAS Al-Asy’ariyah, Medan Krio. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi modul dan evaluasi mandiri berorientasi numerasi valid, efektif, dan praktis. Peningkatan numerasi siswa tergolong tinggi dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,804 pada skala 0-1. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest-posttest siswa dari 54 menjadi 91 pada skala 0-100.Numeracy is the ability to apply mathematical knowledge in various contexts of daily life. Numeracy is one of the basic abilities that an individual must have in the 21st century. But in fact, the numeration of Indonesian students is still relatively low. This can be seen from the average score of Indonesian students' mathematics on PISA which is below the world average score. Numeracy can be improved through learning materials that support the development of numeracy. This study aims to produce valid, effective, and practical numeration-oriented application of module and self-evaluation. This research is a development research conducted using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The implementation phase was carried out on 30 students of class XI MAS Al-Asy'ariyah, Medan Krio. The results of the development show that the numeration-oriented application of module and self-evaluation is valid, effective, and practical. The increase in student numeration is high with an n-gain value of 0.804 on a scale of 0-1. This can be seen from the increase in the average pretest-posttest scores of students from 54 to 91 on a scale of 0-100.

Abstract

The low ability of CT is a problem that occurs in class VIII students of SMPN 1 Kendari. One reason is the application of inappropriate LM. Treffinger's LM is learning by inviting students to think creatively in solving problems based on the facts around them to come up with various ideas and choose solutions. The purpose of this study was to develop the mathematical CT skills of junior high school students. Class VIII SMPN 1 Kendari as a population consists of 9 classes. Class VIII3 and VIII6 were determined by random sampling technique as an experimental class of 26 students and a control class of 25 students. The finding in this study is that students' mathematical CT skills taught by the Treffinger LM are better than in the guided discovery model. Treffinger's LM is superior in developing CT skills. In addition, Treffinger's LM excels in developing aspects of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration of mathematical CT skills. In contrast, the guided discovery LM excels only in developing aspects of originality.Rendahnya kemampuan CT merupakan masalah yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kendari. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah penerapan model pembelajaran yang tidak sesuai. Model pembelajaran Treffinger adalah pembelajaran dengan mengajak siswa berpikir kreatif dalam memecahkan masalah berdasarkan fakta-fakta di sekitar mereka untuk memunculkan berbagai ide dan memilih solusi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan keterampilan CT matematis siswa SMP. Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kendari sebagai populasi terdiri dari 9 kelas. Kelas VIII3 dan VIII6 ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 26 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 25 siswa. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan CT matematis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Treffinger lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model penemuan terbimbing. Model pembelajaran Treffinger lebih unggul dalam mengembangkan keterampilan CT. Selain itu, model pembelajaran Treffinger unggul dalam mengembangkan aspek kefasihan, keluwesan, dan elaborasi keterampilan CT matematis. Sebaliknya, model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing hanya unggul dalam mengembangkan aspek orisinalitas.
