Abstract

Dalam era di mana teknologi semakin merajalela, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap potensi revolusioner dari e-modul materi optik geometri dan alat optik dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA. Dengan memanfaatkan desain quasi-eksperimental yang canggih, penelitian ini melibatkan 25 siswa berbakat dari kelas XI untuk menjalani 14 sesi pembelajaran yang inovatif. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest menyoroti transformasi luar biasa dalam pemahaman siswa, yang ditandai dengan lonjakan substansial dalam skor posttest dan nilai N-Gain. Analisis statistik yang mendalam mengungkapkan bahwa nilai uji t, yang mencapai -13,565 pada derajat kebebasan 24, mengukuhkan kontribusi signifikan E-Modul dalam mengangkat pemahaman siswa ke level yang baru. Hasil ini bukan hanya sekadar mencerminkan keberhasilan teknologi dalam pendidikan, tetapi juga membuka jalan bagi masa depan yang cerah di mana inovasi dan pembelajaran dapat berpadu harmonis untuk mencapai pencerahan yang tak terbatas

Abstract

Table tennis or pingpong is a sport that uses the bet as a striker that is popular among all. The research is aimed at finding out the great influence of the angle of the table tennis service so that the service is performed effectively. The method used is to capture a video when the player performs the service by variing the angles 20°, 40°, 60°, and 90°. Then analyzed using the Tracker application and analysis based on the parabolic equation of motion. The result is that there is a large influence of the angle on the service performed, the larger the angle of elevation then the maximum height will be larger except the angle 60°. The elevation angle affects the maximum distance of the ball.

Abstract

One of the 21st century skills that is important to develop in learning is critical thinking. Critical thinking is essential in life in order to find solutions such as issues with global warming nowadays. To increase the critical thinking ability of students is implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to determine the effect of PBL model implementation on students' critical thinking skills on global warming topics and the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design method of one-group pretest-posttest. The population in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda, totaling 10 classes with a sample of 36 students from class X-J. Data collection used a test technique of 14 multiple choice questions given before and after treatment. The results showed that the PBL model had an effect on critical thinking skills with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 and there was an increase in critical thinking skills with an N-Gain value of 0.58 which is included in the medium criteria. Each indicator of critical thinking skills increased after the implementation of PBL and the highest increase was in the likelihood and uncertainty analysis indicator. These results can contribute to improving the quality of education, especially in terms of developing students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of innovative and contextual learning models such as PBL. In addition, more effective learning models are needed to improve all of the critical thinking indicators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, And Mathematics (STEM) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi Hukum Archimedes di SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre exsperimental design dengan bentuk quasi exsperimental design dengan rancangan two group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas X.A (30 orang) dan X.B (30 orang) di SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes. Pada pretest kelas eksperimen mendapatkan skor sebesar 46,48 dengan kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol mendapatkan skor sebesar 30,48 dengan kategori sedang. Kemudian, setelah diberikan perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen nilai posttest mendapatkan skor sebesar 87,82 dengan kategori tinggi. Selanjutnya, pada kelas kontrol nilai posttest mendapatkan skor sebesar 50,32 dengan kategori sedang. Kemudian, pada hasil perhitungan N-gain score pada kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 0,88 dengan kategori tinggi dan pada hasil perhitungan N-gain score kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kemudian, berdasarkan angket respon peserta didik memberikan respon yang sangat baik berdasarkan keempat aspek angket yaitu pada aspek respon proses pembelajaran sebesar 93.2, aspek manfaat pembelajaran PBL-STEM sebesar 89.6, aspek rasa ingin tahu sebesar 88.6 dan aspek keterampilan untuk menyampaikan materi sebesar 91.1. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran PBL-STEM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi hukum Archimedes di SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsepsi guru tentang benda yang melayang dalam zat cair. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan sepuluh guru fisika dengan masa kerja bervariasi dari empat sampai lima belas tahun. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang terdiri dari 30 item, yang mencakup beberapa konteks dan faktor. Data dianalisis dengan prosedur fenomenografi dimana pengkategorian dan deskripsinya menggunakan temuan penelitian sebelumnya. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsepsi guru pada umumnya masih bernilai tidak ilmiah dimana konsepsi tersebut sangat bergantung pada konteks dam menunjukkan inkonsistensi. Terdapat kecenderungan bahwa kerapuhan struktur konsepsi guru berkaitan dengan massa jenis dan konsep terapung dan tenggelam mempengaruhi konsepsi mereka pada konteks melayang. Secara umum, masa kerja guru tidak berpengaruh terhadap keutuhan struktur konsepsi mereka terhadap fenomena benda melayang dalam zat cair.

Abstract

Writing dozens of reports every semester in physics practicum is often a heavy burden for students, so a more efficient and innovative reporting method is needed to ease their tasks without reducing the quality of learning. This study analyzes the use of video in reporting physics practicum results to ease the burden on students in writing reports. Through videos, students can present information, explain concepts, and demonstrate the application of physics theories in a dynamic and interactive manner. Videos are expected to improve the quality of practicum reports, provide constructive feedback, and promote UM Metro's physics education program. This study used quantitative and descriptive qualitative methods with purposive sampling, involving 6th semester Physics Education students who took astronomy courses. Data were obtained from practicum video assessment rubrics, student response questionnaires, and in-depth interviews, analyzed through a 1-5 Likert scale. This study found that the Project-Based Learning model with video as a practicum report was effective in improving the self-learning of Physics Education students. The title of the video (97.27%) was most attractive, but improvement was needed in time management (55.00%) and simulation of results (67.27%).

Abstract

Self efficacy merupakan suatu keyakinan yang dimiliki setiap individu terhadap kemampuan dirinya dalam menyelesaikan tugas atau mencapai tujuan tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memotret self efficacy peserta didik kelas XII SMA dalam pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen non tes untuk mengukur dimensi pada self efficacy yaitu magnitude, generality, dan strength. Sebanyak 125 peserta didik di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Cianjur terlibat dalam proses pengambilan data ini. Berdasarkan hasil survei, secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa self efficacy peserta didik pada pembelajaran fisika adalah sebesar 70,4% dalam kategori sedang, 15,2% dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan sisanya dalam kategori rendah. Dari ketiga dimensi pada self efficacy, tingkatan dimensi paling rendah dicapai pada dimensi strength, yaitu sebesar 34,4%. Dengan demikian, dari data ini penelitian selanjutnya akan dititikberatkan pada peningkatan self efficacy, salah satunya pada dimensi stregth agar peserta didik  lebih percaya diri dalam menyelesaikan berbagai tantangan dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability of students is a concern of the education system for the success of learning in the 21st century. The combination of models with the right approach during learning is certainly needed to improve critical thinking skills.The solution to improve critical thinking skills is to apply a problem-based learning model with the SETS approach. This study used a pre-experiment method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample used amounted to 40 people who were taken with purposive sampling technique. This research instrument consists of essay questions that contain five indicators of critical thinking: a) provide simple explanations, b) build basic skills, c) conclude, d) provide further explanation, e)organize strategies and techniques. The results showed that the use of problem-based learning model with STML approach was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The most improved aspect is in the aspect of buildingbasic skills with an average N-Gain score of 0.80, and the least improved aspect is in the aspect of providing further explanation with an average NGain score of 0.52. These results can provide alternative ways to improve students' critical thinking skills through the application of innovative and cooperative learning models such as problem-based learning with the SETS approach

Abstract

Solving problems on Newton's law material is not enough just to memorize the formula, students must have the ability to use multiple representations because the concept of Newton's law is very complex, students must be able to analyze the forces acting on blocks according to the idea to make it easier to solve problems. This research aims to describe students' abilities and answer patterns in solving Newton's law of force on an inclined plane using multiple representations. This research used qualitative methods involving 34 students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection was carried out by giving multi-representation tests in the form of description tests and interviews. From the results of multi-representation tests and interviews, it was found that almost all students were able to write style names completely, and a few errors were found in writing style names. In describing force diagrams, it was found that all students could describe normal force and gravity force, but it was found that some students could not describe pushing force, friction force, and rope tension force.  Then, the ability of students to solve mathematical equations, overall very few students can solve mathematical equations completely and precisely.

Abstract

Waste is one of the national problems that will have a direct impact on the environment and social in the community. In Indonesia itself, the open-dumping system is still the system applied in most landfills in Indonesia. The system is relatively simple and easy, but it is not free from many shortcomings, namely the emergence of leachate flows, especially in provinces/regions that have a dense population. The shortcomings of the system give urgency to the research conducted, namely analyzing and evaluating the distribution of leachate water in the Palangka Raya City Landfill using the self-potential method, especially with a fixed-based configuration. The purpose of this research is to analyze the potential difference value and its relationship to leachate flow, make a map of leachate distribution and flow and analyze the social environmental impact around the Palangka Raya City Landfill. The results showed that the anomalous distribution was blue to purple with a range of values around -4mV to -12 mV, a low potential difference value that can be interpreted as an accumulation of fluid flow or leachate below. Based on the results of data processing in the field, this shows that the distribution of anomalies with low values is on the side that leans closer to the garbage and away from residential areas. The water flow flows from the southwest to the northeast. The accumulation of fluid flow is also trapped in an area that is lower than its surroundings
