Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of technology-based supervision in Malang Regency, focusing on its challenges and opportunities. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative research design, data were collected from 200 teachers using a questionnaire based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The findings reveal high levels of technology acceptance, with most teachers finding the tools easy to use and beneficial for enhancing their performance. However, varying levels of technical support availability highlight the need for more consistent and accessible support structures. The study also underscores the significant positive impact of technology-based supervision on educational quality, supported by theoretical frameworks such as the Extended Technology Acceptance Model, Task-Technology Fit Theory, and Resource-Based View. To further improve implementation, the study suggests enhancing technical support, providing comprehensive training, and improving communication channels. These measures aim to ensure broader and more effective adoption of technology-based supervision across all schools.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are a new approach to efforts to improve the village economy. This business entity formed by the village government is said to be the most implicative and replicative business entity because it replicates the self-governing community empowerment model . In Magepanda District, for example, there are 5 BUMDes units with a total initial capital of IDR. 669,000,000, currently in a collapsed condition. Many BUMDes are no longer operating, due to mismanagement, capital difficulties and managerial limitations at the management level of the business entity itself. This research aims to implement a BUMDes development strategy with a Collaborative Governance perspective in a number of BUMDes in Magepanda District. A development strategy with this perspective requires cooperation between the government, private sector and the community in the management and development of BUMDes.This research ultimately resulted in the formulation of a BUMDes development strategy from a collaborative governance perspective which requires cooperation between government, community and private elements in the development of Village-Owned Enterprises by applying the aspects contained in the CGRs typology. . This also serves as a recommendation for village governments and regional governments to implement the strategy in the context of developing BUMDes in the future.

Abstract

Indonesia has maintained steady economic growth and human development over the past decade, yet gender inequality persists. This study examines how gender inequality affects both economic growth and human development in Indonesia, addressing a literature gap by analyzing both simultaneously. Using nine years of panel data at provincial and national levels, we combine descriptive analysis with Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) panel regressions. Key indicators are the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate, Human Development Index (HDI), and Gender Inequality Index (GII). Results show a significant negative effect of GII on both GRDP growth and HDI. Regional disparities highlight the roles of culture and infrastructure, with Eastern Indonesia facing greater inequality. Policy priorities include strengthening maternal and adolescent health services, expanding girls’ access to quality education, increasing women’s political representation, and removing labor-market barriers to accelerate economic growth and human development

Abstract

Village funds and village fund allocations are the two main sources of income for village governments in Ende Regency. Priority use of village funds and allocation of village funds are intended for two main areas, namely village development and community empowerment. These two fields will be the main factors in seeing the development of village progress as measured through a measurement instrument called the village development index. In the period from 2017 to 2021, of course, many resources and development changes occurred in villages with the existence of village funds and allocation of village funds, whereas in the administrative area of Ende Regency, there are 255 villages spread across 19 districts. This research aims to conduct a priority analysis of the use of village funds and the allocation of village funds to increase the village development index in Ende Regency. This research uses quantitative methods with a panel data regression approach, and the data source used is secondary data consisting of village fund data, village fund allocation data, and village development index data for five years from 2017 to 2021 for a village population of 255 villages. The research results show that the village fund variable (DD) has a significant effect on the village development index (IDM), and the village fund allocation variable (ADD) does not have a significant effect on the village development index (IDM). Village government operations so that it does not have a significant effect on IDM

Abstract

In the ever-evolving landscape of higher education, open and distance education has become a prominent mode of learning, facilitated by advances in technology and increased accessibility. While it offers unprecedented opportunities for remote learning, it also presents unique challenges, particularly in terms of student well-being. This study delves into the critical role of integrating counselling psychology services into open and distance education to enhance student well-being and promote academic success. This study is to explore how the integration of counselling psychology can effectively address the challenges faced by students in remote learning environments. These challenges include social isolation, heightened stress levels, motivation issues, and the absence of face-to-face interaction with instructors and peers. A mixed-methods research design was adopted, data collection used include survey and interview. Purposive sampling was employed to select participants who were actively engaged in open and distance education programs; descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. The results of this investigation reveal compelling evidence regarding the positive correlation between counselling psychology support and student well-being in open and distance education. The findings emphasising the potential implications for educational institutions and policymakers. It explores the ways in which counselling psychology can be effectively integrated into open and distance education, ensuring students receive emotional support, academic guidance, and timely crisis intervention when needed. This study underscores the significance of integrating counselling psychology services into open and distance education. By doing so, educational institutions can create a more supportive and conducive learning environment, ultimately enhancing student well-being and academic success. This research provides valuable insights and recommendations for educators, administrators, and policymakers aiming to improve the quality of remote learning experiences.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze in a comprehensive and detailed manner the processes, outcomes, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors for compiling performance information using the Logic Model approach in planning and budgeting at the Biro Umum of the Sekretariat Daerah of North Kalimantan Province. The researcher uses the stages of building a Logic Model from Mclaughlin and Jordan (2015), which consist of gathering relevant information, defining problems and contexts, defining performance elements in tables, drawing models, and involving stakeholders in program verification. The results showed that the process and results of compiling performance planning and budgeting performance information at the Biro Umum of the Sekretariat Daerah of North Kalimantan Province were partly under the stages of building a Logic Model. However, the stages of drawing up the model and involving stakeholders in defining performance and program verification elements had yet to be fulfilled effectively. Existing performance indicators are output-oriented, not outcome-oriented. Recommendations for further research by evaluating the effectiveness of using the Logic Model approach in preparing planning and budgeting performance information.
