Abstract

In the reality of implementing learning activities, teachers are accustomed to using conventional methods, where students are less actively involved in learning activities. Students tend to only hear and receive explanations from the teacher without being given the opportunity to express their opinions widely and openly. This study aims to find out about the application of the discussion method in improving student learning achievement in Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs Tonrong, kec. Rilau Ale, Kab. Bulukmba, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of applying the discussion method in improving student learning achievement at MTs Tonrong. The collection methods used in the study were observation, interview, and documentation using data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction and data presentation. The results of this study concluded that the application of the discussion method in learning akidah akhlak in improving achievement at MTs Tonrong is that the teacher takes 5 steps: 1.) Group division. 2) Each group discusses with group mates according to the predetermined theme. 3). The teacher assigns one of each group member to present the results of the discussion. 4) The discussion activity runs. 5). The teacher conveys conclusions and reinforcement of the material that has been discussed. The advantages and disadvantages contained in the discussion method at MTs Tonrong 1). Advantages, stimulating students to provide ideas or ideas, dare to express opinions. 2). Disadvantages, only a few students

Abstract

Mastery of classical Arabic literature is a crucial tool for comprehensively deepening Islamic understanding within the pesantren environment. This study aims to analyze the use of Arabic-language textbook-based learning methods, assess their effectiveness in strengthening Islamic understanding, and explore the perceptions of educators and students at the Pesantren Quran Madrasah Aliyah Markaz Imam Malik in Makassar. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that instruction is conducted bilingually using standard reference texts such as Silsilah, Nawaqidul Islaam, Shalatsah al-Ushul, Qowaidul al-Arba’a, Mulakhash Kitab Tauhid, Syarhu al-Hadits al-Arba’iin, and Al-Bidayatu fii Ulumil al-Qur’aan through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation of this method is considered quite effective in broadening the students’ Islamic horizons. It was concluded that there is a very positive perception among educators and students, where the use of this method has a significant impact on improving the understanding of Islamic knowledge and its application in daily life. This study recommends strengthening the Arabic language proficiency of students so that the acceleration of understanding of advanced texts can proceed more optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan konsep multikulturalisme dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing, khususnya bahasa Arab dan Inggris, di Pondok Pesantren Al Istiqamah Ngatabaru. Seiring dengan perkembangan globalisasi, kemampuan berbahasa asing menjadi salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki oleh santri. Pondok Pesantren Al Istiqamah Ngatabaru sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis Islam turut berperan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikulturalisme dalam kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa asing. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yang mengamati proses pembelajaran, interaksi antar santri dari berbagai latar belakang budaya, serta dampaknya terhadap pemahaman bahasa asing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan multikulturalisme di pondok pesantren ini tidak hanya terfokus pada pengajaran bahasa, tetapi juga pada pengembangan sikap toleransi, saling menghargai perbedaan, dan pemahaman terhadap keberagaman budaya. Selain itu, pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan Inggris di Pondok Pesantren Al Istiqamah dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan yang mengutamakan kontekstualisasi budaya, sehingga mampu membangun kemampuan bahasa santri sekaligus memperkaya wawasan kebudayaan mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami bagaimana konsep multikulturalisme dapat diintegrasikan dalam pendidikan bahasa asing di lembaga pendidikan Islam. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali efektivitas penggunaan media visual dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca huruf Arab Melayu pada siswa sekolah dasar. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca huruf Arab Melayu akibat keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa di salah satu sekolah dasar yang telah menggunakan media visual berupa kartu interaktif dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, memperjelas bentuk huruf Arab Melayu, serta memudahkan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengucapkan huruf-huruf tersebut secara tepat. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa media yang menarik dan kontekstual dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media visual memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran membaca huruf Arab Melayu secara lebih efektif di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Jawi script plays a significant role in the dissemination of knowledge and Malay culture, but it continues to be marginalized, including among the Malays themselves. However, a number of efforts to preserve the script are still ongoing in Aceh, Indonesia. This study aimed to examine the efforts and was conducted in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, two essential regions in Aceh. The data for this descriptive qualitative study was obtained through observation for three months and semi-structured interviews with nine teachers of dayah (an Islamic educational institution in Aceh) and three government officers. The data were then transcribed and analyzed in three steps, namely data condensation, data display, and data conclusion. The results of data analysis show that the preservation of the Jawi script in Aceh involves two parties, namely the the dayah community and government. The government plays a role in making regulations and policies while the community is involved in the process of using and learning the book wri­­tten in Jawi script. However, the role of the community is considered more dominant and substantial in preserving the script. The preservation of the Jawi script by the Dayah community is carried out through a series of teachings of Arabic-Jawi books to the people of Aceh both in mosques, in the Dayah and other locations agreed upon by the local community.

Abstract

Teachers are at the forefront of successful curriculum implementation and the achievement of educational goals. This study aims to analyze the importance of teacher professionalism in managing competency-based learning processes. The primary focus of the study lies in how teachers’ abilities to facilitate effective learning, foster student motivation, and integrate relevant learning media. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical analysis. The results indicate that the perfection of a curriculum holds no meaning without being supported by competent teachers. Teacher professionalism is not merely grounded in subject matter mastery but also in a calling, moral responsibility, commitment, and creativity. Educators who are aware of their role will demonstrate consistency in behavior and personality and possess a spirit of continuous learning (learning how to learn). In conclusion, the success of education depends heavily on the quality of educators who are capable of serving as role models and dynamic facilitators of learning. Awareness of professional responsibility drives teachers to continually enhance their capabilities to realize the ideal goals of education.

Abstract

Pemikiran pendidikan Hasan Langgulung tentang manusia dan pendidikan memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang pentingnya pendekatan holistik dalam sistem pendidikan. Menurut Hasan Langgulung, pendidikan bukan hanya tentang transfer pengetahuan tetapi juga pembentukan karakter, penanaman nilai-nilai moral, serta pengembangan aspek spiritual dan sosial individu. Sistem pendidikan yang menggabungkan dimensi mental, fisik, dan spiritual dapat menghasilkan manusia yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual tetapi juga matang secara emosional dan moral. Pengalaman pendidikan lokal menunjukkan bahwa kerja sama antara keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam implementasi pendekatan ini. Mengintegrasikan metode pendidikan tradisional dengan teknologi modern dapat menciptakan sistem pendidikan yang efektif, inklusif, dan adaptif sesuai perkembangan zaman. Dengan pendekatan yang holistik, pendidikan dapat membantu individu untuk mencapai keseimbangan antara pengetahuan, moral, dan karakter. Pemikiran Hasan Langgulung menawarkan fondasi yang solid bagi pendidikan kontemporer di Indonesia, yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kondisi lokal, budaya, serta tantangan kehidupan masa sekarang.

Abstract

The Aceh MPU is an important element in realizing religious moderation in Aceh, because the Aceh MPU has significant authority and function in overcoming religious problems in society. Therefore, this research aims to determine the role of the MPU in building religious moderation in Aceh. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where the researcher goes directly to the research location, then the data from the analysis is presented and discussed using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the MPU's role in building religious moderation in Aceh is (1) in accordance with its duties and authority, the Aceh MPU participates in building religious moderation in Aceh, one of which is through the issuance of Aceh MPU Fatwa No. 5 of 2019 which regulates intolerance and radicalism according to Islamic Sharia and local wisdom, in this case the Aceh MPU issues a fatwa haram against radicalism, (2) provides guidance and advice to the community, (3) carries out cadre education and becomes a resource person in every educational implementation Ulama cadres implemented by the City Regency MPU, (2) provide enlightenment on the importance of tolerance in maintaining harmony and peace among the people through various discussion forums and religious dialogue. The obstacles faced by the Aceh MPU in developing religious moderation in Aceh are (1) lack of public understanding of the importance of religious moderation, (2) excessive development of religious understanding and practice in society.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan,termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Namun, praktik pembelajaran PAI diberbagai lembaga pendidikan masih cenderung konvensional, berpusat pada guru, dan kurangmemanfaatkan teknologi secara optimal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji inovasi pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi serta implikasinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Metode yangdigunakan adalah kajian kepustakaan dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi seperti media interaktif, platform e-learning, dan aplikasi pembelajaran digital mampu meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, serta pemahaman siswa terhadap materi PAI. Selain itu, integrasi teknologi juga mendorong terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, fleksibel, dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Kebaruan dalam kajian ini terletak pada integrasi sistematis antara nilai-nilai keislaman dengan teknologi digital dalam kerangka pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menekankan aspek kognitif, tetapi juga afektif dan spiritual secara holistik. Dengan demikian, inovasi pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi menjadi solusi strategis dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

The credibility of madrasah principals’ leadership is a strategic aspect in efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education, especially amid the challenges of modernization and declining trust in educational institutions. This study aims to examine the concept of leadership credibility and reconstruct it from an Islamic education perspective through a conceptual approach. The method used is qualitative research with a library research and conceptual analysis design, utilizing primary data sources such as the Qur’an and Hadith as well as secondary sources from books and scientific articles. The analytical approach integrates a normative-theological perspective with modern leadership theory. The results indicate that the leadership credibility of madrasah principals is built upon four main dimensions: moral integrity, professional competence, behavioral consistency, and the ability to build trust. From an Islamic perspective, these dimensions are reinforced by the values of siddiq (honesty), amanah (responsibility), tabligh (effective communication), and fathanah (wisdom), which provide an ethical and spiritual foundation for leadership practice. These findings confirm that leadership credibility in Islamic education is not merely managerial in nature but also encompasses normative and theological dimensions. The implications of this research highlight the importance of integrating Islamic values into madrasah leadership development to produce credible, integrity-driven leaders who are also.
