Abstract

This article aims to interpret two aspects of the Kitab Sawi: its grammatical structure and psychological meaning, uncovering both linguistic and psychological dimensions within this Sufi literary text. The subject of this study is the Sufi manuscript Kitab Sawi. To achieve this goal, the article adopts Schleiermacher's hermeneutic theory with a descriptive-analytical approach. The research follows four stages: data collection, data processing, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The study reveals that the Kitab Sawi manuscript focuses on two main aspects: grammatical structure and psychological meaning. Key insights from the Kitab Sawi, which serves as the primary source for this article, include the following: a) Source of Ethical-Religious Literary Knowledge: The Kitab Sawi manuscript contains strong elements of Sufi literature, aimed at conveying moral and ethical values rooted in religious teachings. b) The Importance of Cultural Heritage: Kitab Sawi is not only valuable as a literary work but also as a representation of past intellectual and spiritual wealth. This manuscript plays a vital role in preserving and communicating cultural and spiritual teachings across generations. c) Psychological and Structural Significance: The analysis demonstrates that Kitab Sawi features a profound and intricate grammatical structure, characteristic of Sufi thought, which frequently employs symbolic and metaphorical language. This structure adds a psychological depth, allowing readers to undergo spiritual transformation through contemplation and engagement with the text. In conclusion, this article offers valuable contributions to the understanding of Sufi literature and Sasak cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research examines the role of intercultural communication in understanding the context of Qur'anic revelation in the Makkah and Madinah periods. The aim is to analyze the differences in the characteristics of Makiyah and Madaniah verses and the influence of the socio-cultural context on communication patterns and the delivery of revelation. This research uses a literature study research design with a qualitative approach. The research data is in the form of secondary data obtained through data collection techniques using documentation studies from various sources such as tafsir books, Qur'anic literature, and intercultural communication theories. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and hermeneutic interpretation techniques. The results showed that communication in the Makkah period used a strong and brief language style according to the context of Arab society, while the Medina period was more detailed and explicit. Differences in the socio-cultural context influenced communication strategies, where Makkah focused on strengthening the faith, while Medina on the formation of social systems. Communication channels evolved from oral dominance in Makkah to a combination of oral and written in Medina. This research proves that intercultural communication theory can be used as an analytical framework to understand the dynamics of Qur'anic revelation. This understanding is important for developing contemporary da'wah methods that are adaptive to cultural diversity.

Abstract

Historian Adventure is an edutainment learning medium that incorporates both educational and entertainment components with the objective of rendering the process of learning history more engaging and interactive. The objective of this research is to develop edutainment learning media, Historian Adventure, on Indonesian history during the Hindu-Buddhist period based on Bima-Dompu local history at the university level. The research methodology employed is that of development research (R&D), with reference to Thiagarajan's 4-D (Four-D) model, which comprises four stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This research involved the input of material experts, learning media experts, and 30 students enrolled in the History Education Study Program at STKIP Yapis Dompu. The results of the feasibility study indicate that the developed media meets the highest standards of feasibility, with an initial assessment by media experts yielding a score of 89.23% (very feasible) and an increased score of 95.38% in the second stage. The results of the initial trial demonstrated a feasibility score of 86.54%, indicating a high level of suitability for the intended purpose. The subsequent trial yielded a similar score of 86.64%, confirming the continued high feasibility of the learning media. In light of the aforementioned results, it can be posited that the Historian Adventure learning media is an efficacious pedagogical tool for the acquisition of knowledge pertaining to Indonesian history during the Hindu-Buddhist period, based on local history. The adventure format enables students to engage with historical events, identify Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms, and comprehend the impact of Hindu-Buddhist religion and culture, particularly in the context of Bima-Dompu.

By using the integrative review type literature review method, researchers describe the use of electronic modules based on the heyzine flipbook application through a number of features contained in the application, which consist of link features, videos, images, audio, and so on. In the heyzine flipbook application, there are various features that make it easy for users to develop interactive teaching materials. These features are in the interactions column which focuses on editing the module to be created. The features are link, image, video, audio and web features. Through this article, the researcher aims to provide a solution for utilizing electronic modules based on the heyzine flipbook application as one of the media that can be utilized in the history learning process so that history is not considered a field of study that emphasizes the memorization process alone and is able to develop students' historical literacy skills.

Abstract

The emergence of the Salafi movement in Indonesia, carrying the mission of purifying Islamic teachings, is always an interesting subject to study due to its teachings often conflicting with those of mainstream Islamic groups adhering to Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah. The aim of this research is to identify the typology and social relations of the Salafi group in Aikmel District. To achieve this objective, the researcher employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This method was chosen to provide an in-depth description of the typology and social relations of the Salafi group in Aikmel District. Data analysis utilizes the qualitative model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the community's perception of the Salafi congregation in Aikmel District can be categorized into two typologies. First, there are Salafi congregations that exhibit an exclusive attitude and remain steadfast in their teachings. Sociologically, these Salafi groups avoid building social relations and communication with non-Salafi Islamic groups. Second, there are Salafi congregations that are tolerant and inclusive. This type of Salafi group sociologically demonstrates social sensitivity by showing inclusive, tolerant attitudes, respect, and upholding brotherhood. They participate in religious rituals or practices commonly conducted by non-Salafi Islamic groups, such as the nine-day death tahlilan, the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, and others. This study aims to challenge the stereotype that all Salafi congregations are exclusively rigid in their teachings. It demonstrates that, in Aikmel District, there are also Salafi congregations that are inclusive and tolerant.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the crucial role of the Yogyakarta Branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) during the Second War of Independence, particularly in the 1948-1949 period when Yogyakarta became one of the centers of battle and Dutch military aggression. This research is highly relevant, considering that during this period, the Indonesian nation was at the height of its struggle to defend its independence, which had been proclaimed on August 17, 1945. Specifically, the second military aggression launched by the Dutch on December 19, 1948, caused widespread chaos in Yogyakarta, affecting both the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and civilians. Using historical research methods, which include the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, this study reveals the significant contribution of PMI in its humanitarian mission during the conflict. The Yogyakarta Branch of PMI played a vital role in providing medical aid, treating wounded victims, and organizing public kitchens for fighters and civilians affected by the war. PMI not only assisted the TNI on the battlefield but also supported civilians who became victims of Dutch attacks. Through its efforts, PMI contributed to defending Indonesia’s independence by carrying out critical humanitarian activities during the war, making them an integral part of the nation's struggle.
