Abstract

This study aims to analyze the steps of applying the discovery learning model in physics learning. This type of research is qualitative with the type of case study. The subjects in this study were physics teachers and students of class X SMKN 2 Ende, totaling 33 students. The object of this research is the application of the discovery learning model. Data collection instruments using questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the application of the discovery learning model in physics learning for class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Ende was in accordance with the syntax. The syntax of the discovery learning model consists of stimulation, problems, data collection, data processing, verification, generalization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media, students' mastery of concepts and scientific literacy. The research design uses the ADDIE development design. The feasibility of the media is seen based on the validation results of media experts and material experts. The results showed that the dynamic electric scribe video learning media that had been developed had the following characteristics: 1) the product validation test was obtained from the results of the media expert and material expert score of 3.67 with a proper classification. 2) the readability test was obtained from the results of the teacher response questionnaire and student responses of 3.58 with a proper classification. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the Scribe video learning media is suitable for use as a physics learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of video animation media on global warming material t. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. This research was conducted at Junior High School 3 Lumajang. The research subjects were students of 7th  grade of Junior High School 3 Lumajang. Data collection techniques in this study were observation to observe student activities, questionnaires for student responses and pretest-posttest to improve learning outcomes. The data analysis technique uses percentages for activity and response analysis, while for improving learning outcomes using the n-gain test. The results show that student activity is obtained on average 70.834% with sufficient categories, student responses obtained on average 76.25% with good categories , the increase in learning outcomes obtained an average n-gain value of 0.745 with a high classification. So learning global warming material using animated video media is said to be effective.

Abstract

The POE2WE learning model is a learning model developed to determine students' understanding of a concept with a constructivist approach. Hands on activity is an activity designed to involve students in seeking information and asking questions, doing activities and finding, collecting data and analyzing, and making their own conclusions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the hand on activity-based POE2WE model to critical thinking skills. This research uses literature study method. The research was conducted by collecting secondary data from articles relevant to the topic under study. The data were analyzed and concluded. The results of the synthesis of relevant research indicate that the Hands On Activity learning model is effective for critical thinking and is active in social interaction. In addition, POE2WE learning will make it easier for teachers by involving students to be more active, and reflecting on new understandings according to the initial knowledge possessed by students.

Abstract

Interesting in learning has influence on learning outcomes. If someone does not have an interest in a particular subject, it is difficult to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Conversely, if someone who has an interest in certain subjects will achieve optimal learning results.  Interesting will be formed if there is an effort from within him and there is also encouragement from the outside both from the teacher, family, and the surrounding environment to like, study and work on physics problems given by the teacher.  The purpose of this study was to determine students' interest in physics from the descriptions of the attitudes of SMA N 1 Batanghari students.  This type of research is quantitative using survey research procedures with the instrument used is a questionnaire.  The subjects of this study were 53 students of SMA N 1 Batanghari. The result of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the learning interest of SMA N1 BATANGHARI students in physics lessons is good even though there are some students who are still less interested in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the interest of students of SMA Negeri 6 Muaro Jambi towards physics subjects. The subjects in this study were 59 students majoring in science class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 6 Muaro Jambi. The object of this research is interest in learning physics. The method used was a case study research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was done by using an interest questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 6 Muaro Jambi have a good interest in studying physics. The average interest of class XI MIPA students is 89.9%.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the need for appropriate learning methods in educational research statistics lectures in the Covid-19 era. The type of research used was descriptive quantitative. The research sample amounted to 59 students consisting of 20 students from the master's degree program in science education and 39 students from the bachelor's program in physics education at one of the State Universities in Bengkulu City. The research instrument was a student response questionnaire consisting of 8 question items. Data collection was done through the distribution of questionnaires via google form. Data analysis was performed with descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that the Scafolding learning method is an alternative learning method in the era of covid 19. In addition, educational research statistics lectures have difficult and complex characteristics, especially in the data analysis process.

Abstract

This study aims to measure students' understanding of the concept of  This study aims to measure students' conceptual understanding of quantum phenomena with the help of the quizizz application evaluation media. The research method uses descriptive methods. Learning evaluation using quizziz helps improve students' understanding of quantum phenomena. The understanding of students is 52% with an understanding level of understanding, 5% for understanding very understanding and 43% understanding enough. Learning evaluation using quizziz can be used by educators as an alternative ICT-based learning media to be utilized as much as possible to achieve learning objectives

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of PhET simulation in physics learning on electric circuit material during the pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with literature studies from various articles. The results showed that the PhET simulation was very effective to be applied in supporting the physics learning of unidirectional electric circuits during the pandemic. This is shown by the data on the presentation of learning outcomes after using the PhET simulation where the average results have increased. In addition, from the misconception side, it has also changed for the better. There are fewer students who have misconceptions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning interest and learning motivation on physics learning outcomes. The type of research used is correlational research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of class X science at SMA Negeri 1 Wewewa Selatan in the 2019/2020 academic year. In this study, the sample was taken using a random sampling technique taken as many as 35 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Pearson product moment correlation test. The results show that there is a significant relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes in physics. The results of the analysis obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Learning motivation and physics learning outcomes also show that there is a significant relationship. The results of the analysis obtained a significance value of 0.001 <0.05.
