Abstract

The change in the curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum also changed the educational paradigm in Indonesia. Curriculum changes bring changes to the content of social studies learning, especially at the junior high school level, thus creating problems for teachers in designing social studies learning. This research aims to determine teachers' problems in designing learning from the perspective of ontological studies (learning content) due to curriculum changes. For this reason, a qualitative approach was used with a pilot study design to examine this matter. Data collection was carried out through document review and interviews. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out using an interactive model. The results of this research indicate that changes in the curriculum have caused a lack of synchronization between content standards and expected achievements in social studies learning. This has implications for teachers' problems determining learning material at each grade level. Teachers also need clarification on the suitability of the learning content and what is expected from the curriculum. Not only that, but planning differentiated learning is also one of the problems in designing social studies learning materials. This research's limitation is that it is a pilot study and discusses a narrow scope, namely an ontological study. In future research, it is hoped that more in-depth research can be carried out on teacher problems from an epistemological and axiological perspective. So, the entire teacher's problems in designing social studies learning can be described.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 makes learning more accessible, such as using technology. The technology used in learning can improve students' skills. Skills are essential for every student to improve the quality of learning in the 21st century. The quality of learning in the 21st century can be enhanced through the Freedom to Learn - Independent Campus (MBKM) program, which provides space for students in Indonesia to develop the 5C skills, namely creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and celebration. One of the MBKM programs you can participate in is the Certified Independent Study/Project Internship Program (MSIB) with partner PT MariBelajar Indonesia Smart in collaboration with Microsoft. The MSIB Program uses Microsoft Teams to help students collaborate to solve problems through capstone projects. The research method uses quantitative methods and aims to analyze the effect of Microsoft Teams on the collaboration abilities of PT Independent Study/Project students. Let's Learn Smart Indonesia. The research subjects were PT Independent Study/Project students. MariBelajar Indonesia Smart Cycle 2. The instrument used to measure the use of Microsoft Teams and collaboration skills is through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression using the SPSS 23.0 for Windows program. The analysis results show that using Microsoft Teams affects students' collaboration abilities, which can improve their skills and help them complete projects. Using Microsoft Teams helps students utilize collaboration spaces to understand Microsoft Teams' features to enhance their communication skills and creativity. Future researchers should test other factors such as communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking skills using Microsoft Teams. Students can explore Microsoft Teams features to complete other course assignments.

Abstract

The current environmental conditions are very worrying and cause various problems. Environmental problems are caused by human greed and lack of concern and responsibility in utilizing nature. Efforts to overcome this problem are by implementing environmental education through the Strengthening Pancasila Students Profile (P5) Project activities with the theme of sustainable living. Because all levels of society must share a caring attitude towards the environment, including students, this research aims to determine how implementing the P5 theme of sustainable living increases students' environmental care attitudes. This research approach uses a quantitative associative type in the form of a cause-and-effect relationship. The research location at Gandusari Trenggalek Islamic Junior High School is in Melis Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek Regency. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling with 44 respondents from all 123 class VIII students. Data collection uses interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research results show that implementing the P5 theme of sustainable living entitled " Hijau Tamanku Asri Sekolahku (my green garden, my beautiful school)" influences increasing students' environmental care attitudes by 35.4 percent. This research has implications for educational units that implement the P5 theme of sustainable living because it can increase students' environmental care attitudes to overcome environmental problems.

Abstract

The current learning model emphasizes student involvement, which aims to enable them to participate actively in implementing learning. Collaboration skills are considered one of the critical abilities of the 21st century. These skills are considered to encourage active student participation both in the classroom and in group projects. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning model in improving students' collaboration skills. The research methodology used is quantitative, using a quasi-experimental type. The sample used in this research consisted of 58 students, 29 students in class IX A and 29 in class IX E at MTs Negeri 2 Malang City. The data collection technique uses a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique uses the independent sample t-test. The research results show that applying the project-based learning model significantly influences students' collaborative skills. Implementing a project-based learning model fosters greater student involvement in communication and greater responsibility for the tasks or problems given. The limitations of this research lie in the research respondents. Research respondents were less responsive when filling out the research sample determination questionnaire. This research suggests that the project-based learning model can be an alternative learning model to improve students' collaborative skills. Additionally, further studies might investigate project-based learning models while considering additional characteristics relevant to the 21st century.

Abstract

This study addresses the low levels of 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration) among students, which adversely affects their thinking processes and soft skills, failing to meet 21st-century educational competency standards. Effective interventions are needed to enhance these skills so that students can thrive in a complex global environment. This research evaluates the effectiveness of the RADEC model (read, answer, discuss, explain, create) when integrated with Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) to improve 4C skills in students. The RADEC model incorporates activities relevant to students' cultural backgrounds, such as reading materials using tradition content, answering questions, collaborating in discussions, and creating products. The study conducted in class VIII-E of SMP Negeri 3 Surabaya using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method over two cycles, found a significant increase in 4C skills. The average score rose from 58.86 (fair category) in the first cycle to 78.08 (good category) in the second cycle. Success factors include providing infographic reading materials containing local tradition content that aligns with the student's cultural background, forming class agreements to strengthen learning dynamics, and increasing student involvement in each stage of the RADEC model. Thus, the RADEC model integrated with the CRT approach proved effective in improving 4C students, thereby supporting the achievement of 21st-century educational competencies.
