Abstract

Based on Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning spatial planning, what is meant by Green Open Space (RTH) is an elongated area, path or group whose users are more open, where plants grow, both those that grow naturally and those that are deliberately planted.   This research aims to analyze visitors"™ perceptions of the comfort of the Tonjeng Beru Green Open Space (RTH).   This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach to measure and evaluate visitors"™ perceptions of various aspects of RTH comfort, including cleanliness, safety, aesthetics and availability of facilities. Data was obtained through a survey using a questionnaire filled in by RTH visitors.   The research results indicate that visitors perceive the Tonjeng Beru Green Open Space as a comfortable place, although there are several areas that require attention and improvement.   This study contributes to a better understanding of the factors that influence the perception of comfort in green open spaces and provides recommendations for the management and improvement of green open space in the future.Keywords: 4A Tourism Component, Comfort, Green Open Space, Perception, Visitors.AbstrakBerdasarkan UU Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 tentang penataan ruang yang dimaksud dengan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) adalah area memanjang, jalur atau kelompok yang penggunanya lebih bersifat terbuka, tempat tumbuh tanaman, baik yang tumbuh secara alamiah maupun yang sengaja ditanami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi pengunjung terhadap kenyamanan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) Tonjeng Beru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengukur dan mengevaluasi persepsi pengunjung terhadap berbagai aspek kenyamanan RTH, termasuk kebersihan, keamanan, estetika, dan ketersediaan fasilitas. Data diperoleh melalui survei dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang diisi oleh pengunjung RTH. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa pengunjung mempersepsikan RTH Tonjeng Beru sebagai tempat yang nyaman, meskipun terdapat beberapa area yang memerlukan perhatian dan peningkatan. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi kenyamanan di ruang terbuka hijau dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengelolaan dan perbaikan RTH di masa depan.Kata kunci: Komponen pariwisata 4A, kenyamanan, ruang terbuka hijau, Persepsi, pengunjung

Abstract

Sabut kelapa yang merupakan limbah pengolahan minyak kelapa, dapat diolah menjadi cocopeat yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Cocopeat merupakan produk olahan kelapa yang berasal dari proses pemisahan sabut kelapa. Dusun Jejolok Punik, Desa Lendang Nangka, Kecamatan Masbagik, Kabupaten Lombok Timur Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat merupakan kawasan daerah pedesaan dengan potensi perkebunan dan pertanian terutama komoditas kelapa. Kelompok Wanita tani di desa ini sangat ingin menjaga kelestarian lingkungan yang baik dan bisa memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi dari pemanfaatan limbah kelapa. Mengingat Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait dengan produk turunan dari kelapa itu sendiri membuat tim pengabdian ingin memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Al-Ummahat terkait dengan produk turunan kelapa dan cara pengolahannya menjadi cocopeat. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan limbah yang dihadapi masyarakat Kelompok Wanita Tani dan menambah nilai ekonomis dari limbah itu sendiri. Berdasarkan solusi yang telah ditawarkan maka tim pengabdian menggunakan metode pelaksanaan dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) yang menekankan keterlibatan masyarakat (mitra) dalam keseluruhan kegiatan. Selanjutnya dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Participatory Technology Development (PTD) yang memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna berbasis IPTEKS dan kearifan budaya lokal masyarakat, serta melakukan pendampingan teknik pembuatan cocopeat. Setelah dilakukannya kegiatan penyuluhan ini dapat dilihat peningkatan kemampuan dari seluruh anggota KWT Al-Ummahat. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner yang telah diberikan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman Anggota KWT terdapat peningkatan pemahaman setelah penyuluhan menjadi 87%. Untuk itu dapat dikatakan bahwa apa yang menjadi tujuan utama untuk menambah wawasan serta menerapkan IPTEK kepada mitra dapat dikatakan berhasil

Abstract

The increasing demand for wood and the diminishing potential of forests necessitate the efficient and prudent use of wood resources. To address this issue, alternatives to wood are required, and one such option is particleboard made from wood sawdust. The abundance of waste sawdust from kempas wood (Koompassia malaccensis Maing) is noteworthy, yet this waste material remains underutilized. The objective of this research is to determine: i.) the influence of the particle-to-cement ratio, ii.) the effect of different compressive pressures on the physical properties of kempas wood sawdust particleboard, and iii.) the interaction between the particle-to-cement ratio and compressive pressure on the physical properties of kempas wood sawdust particleboard. In this study, a factorial completely randomized design with two factors was employed. The first factor is the particle-to-cement ratio (P), consisting of three levels: P1 (1:3), P2 (1:4), and P3 (1:5). The second factor is the difference in compressive pressure (T), comprising two levels: T1 (25 kg/cm²) and T2 (35 kg/cm²). There are a total of 6 treatments resulting from the combination of these two factors, repeated three times, and yielding 18 test samples. The results indicate that the ratio of cement to particles only significantly affects density at a significance level of 0.05 but does not impact moisture content and thickness swelling of kempas wood sawdust particleboard. The variation in compressive pressure does not influence any of the physical properties (density, moisture content, and thickness swelling) of the particleboard. Furthermore, the interaction between the particle-to-cement ratio and compressive pressure does not significantly affect any of the physical properties (density, moisture content, and thickness swelling) of kempas wood sawdust particleboard.

Abstract

The demand for commercial timber in Indonesia continues to rise, while the availability of forest resources is steadily declining, both in terms of production forest area and wood quality. Many native wood species remain underutilized in the Indonesian wood industry due to limited information regarding their properties. One such species, Mindi wood (Melia azedarach Linn.), has been used by local communities but is not widely recognized as a commercial timber alternative. Mindi wood holds potential as a substitute for high-quality commercial timber; however, research on its physical and mechanical properties remains scarce. This study aims to evaluate the axial variation in the physical and mechanical properties of Mindi wood from Senanggalih Village, East Lombok Regency, and to assess the influence of axial position on these properties. The study employed a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three axial sections (base, middle, and top) as treatments, each replicated three times. Results indicated that axial position significantly affected certain physical properties, including kiln-dry specific gravity, radial shrinkage (from fresh to kiln-dry), and longitudinal swelling (from air-dry to wet). However, no significant effect was observed on moisture content (fresh air or air-dry), fresh specific gravity, air-dry density, or shrinkage and swelling in the tangential, radial, and longitudinal directions for various moisture conditions. In terms of mechanical properties, no significant effect of axial position was found on Modulus of Elasticity (MoE) and Modulus of Rupture (MoR). These findings suggest that Mindi wood is suitable for light construction applications such as furniture manufacturing, as well as for composite wood products including plywood, particleboard, and fiberboard.

Abstract

Rajumas wood is a type of fast-growing wood that is included in durable class IV-V. The availability of local wood is abundant and is commonly used in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. This wood has a low durability class, so it needs special treatment, namely pickling. This research aims to determine the level of absorption, retention, and penetration of rajumas wood. The samples used were the core and sapwood of Rajumas wood. This research uses a cold soaking method with 1% biocide preservative with a soaking time of 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours. The results showed that the TC sample (core part; soaking time 36 hours) produced the highest absorption and penetration values, 0.2035 g/cm3 and 0.3575 cm, respectively. Meanwhile, the GC sample produced the highest retention value (sapwood; soaking time 36 hours), namely 0.0090 g/cm3. These results show that the durability of rajumas wood in the heart and sapwood is relatively high at the absorption level, while the retention level tends to be low.

Abstract

Wood has hygroscopic properties so that the dimensional balance is unstable and favored by destructive organisms. In addition, wood exposed outdoors will easily undergo photodegradation by UV rays. One of the methods to improve the quality of wood is the Yakisugi method. This method is a traditional Japanese method that is environmentally friendly, more efficient, and economical. The application of the Yakisugi method can improve the quality of fast-growing wood that has low quality. This study was conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of Yakisugi method on 5 commercial wood in NTB. The results of this research indicate the best charring time of yakisugi method is only 40 seconds charring, while the worst is 60 seconds charring and it is decrease the mechanical properties of all types of wood.

Abstract

Beriuk Maju MSME is one of the MSMEs in Mentigi Hamlet, Malaka Village, Pemenang Sub-district, North Lombok Regency. This MSME is managed by women and people with disabilities. The production and marketing of MSME Beriuk Maju is currently not developed enough and produces significant sales due to the many challenges and lack of knowledge about marketing strategies. So it is necessary to provide rebranding and digital marketing assistance so that Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) products can attract consumers and reach a wider market. This assistance was carried out for one month by Mataram University KKN-PMD students. This mentoring method begins with surveis and observations of MSMEs, Re-Branding of MSME product packaging, and sales promotion through social media (digital marketing). This assistance produces product designs for packaging and Instagram social media for promotion. From this assistance, it is concluded that product rebranding is very important to produce products that attract buyers and promotions carried out through social media can reach a wider market to increase sales.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2018 secara swadaya masyarakat Desa Malaka mendirikan kelompok pelestari penyu bernama Turtle Conservation Community atau TCC dan Desa Malaka ditetapkan oleh Bupati Lombok Utara sebagai Kawasan Ekosistem Esesnsial koridor penyu. Salah satu kegiatan utama yang dilakukan oleh kelompok Turtle Conservation Community adalah pendataan kehadiran penyu. Namun data yang dimiliki oleh kelompok pelestari saat ini sifatnya masih berupa Log Book atau kumpulan data mentah yang tersimpan dan belum dianalisis sehingga data tersebut saat ini dinilai belum mampu menyimpulkan, memproyeksikan trend/model, atau memunculkan karakteristik wilayah habitat penyu sebagaimana yang diharapkan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini, kesadartahuan kelompok pelestari penyu Nipah akan pentingnya pembangunan database spasial ditingkatkan melalui pemanfaatan sistem informasi geografis untuk pengenalan karakteristik wilayah habitat penyu. Tahapan kegiatan pengambdaian meliputi: pra kegiatan, penyuluhan, dan pembangunan data spasial secara partisipatif. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif menggunakan metode FGD sedangkan peta spasial dirancang menggunakan software komputer. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini antara lain: 1). Peserta penyuluhan dalam hal ini Kelompok Pelestari Penyu TCC Nipah mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya peran data dan informasi dalam pengelolaan, sehingga kelompok dapat mengambil keputusan, melakukan monitoring, evaluasi dan menentukan arah kebijakan kedepannya secara lebih baik. 2). Kelompok TCC Nipah mendapatkan informasi dan mampu mengenal lebih dalam karakteristik habitat penyu di pantai Nipah berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pemetaan partisipatif.

Abstract

Komoditas HHBK yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan di NTB adalah madu. Madu merupakan salah satu jenis pangan yang sangat baik bagi kesehatan, produk perlebahan mendukung pemenuhan gizi masyarakat dan mendukung upaya pelestarian sumberdaya alam yang berperan penting dalam membantu proses penyerbukan tanaman. Pada Pulau Lombok banyak dikembangkan usaha budidaya lebah madu jenis Apis cerena dan Trigona sp. Pengembangan budidaya lebah madu trigona sudah banyak dilakukan khususnya pada masyarakat pedesaan. Akan tetapi, dalam upaya pengembangan budidaya trigona masih dalam skala Rumah tangga dan masih tradisional, sehingga mempengaruhi hasil produksi madunya. Keberhasilan usaha budidaya trigona dipengaruhi pada beberapa faktor antara lain: ketersediaan sumber pakan sepanjang musim, perkembangan koloni yang baik, serta stup yang digunakan, Bahan baku pembuatan kotak lebah atau stup memberikan pengaruh terhadap produksi madu baik dari segi kualitas maupun kuantitasnya. Jenis kayu sebagai bahan baku stup berpengaruh, serta model stup terhadap produksi madu yang dihasilkan lebah madu trigona. Oleh karena itu, penyuluhan tentang peningkatan produktivitas lebah madu Trigona sp dengan menggunakan bahan kayu Dao (Dracontomelon dao) yang sesuai standard dan penggunaan inovasi stup bersekat sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas madu, polen dan propolis. Dengan demikian budidaya lebah madu trigona selain bermanfaat secara ekonomi dan ekologi juga dapat digunakan sebagai penunjang ketahanan pangan desa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of yakisugi surface charring treatment on the physical and mechanical properties of Rajumas wood (Duabanga moluccana). The method involved surface burning for 0 (control), 20, 40, and 60 seconds using a butane gas torch. Tests were conducted on moisture content, density, shrinkage, water absorption, thickness swelling, modulus of rupture (MoR), and modulus of elasticity (MoE). Statistical analysis using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s HSD test (α = 0.05) was performed to evaluate treatment effects. The results showed that burning duration affected both physical and mechanical properties of Rajumas wood. Longer burning durations improved dimensional stability by reducing moisture content, water absorption, and swelling; however, mechanical strength (MoR and MoE) tended to decrease at 60 seconds due to partial thermal degradation of cell wall polymers. Moderate exposure (20–40 seconds) provided an optimal balance between improved stability and acceptable strength retention. This study highlights the novel application of Yakisugi to a fast-growing tropical hardwood, offering a sustainable surface modification technique for enhancing durability and performance in non-structural wood applications.
