Abstract

Upaya peningkatan produksi pangan pada lahan gambut dan lahan sulfat masam memerlukan pendekatan dan teknologi spesifik dan inovatif, yang dicirikan oleh peningkatan produktivitas dan nilai ekonomi serta perbaikan lingkungan dan sosial budaya. Tujuan Penelitian untuk memperkenalkan produk inovatif unggulan dari lahan gambut dan memperluas jaringan kerjasama dalam pengembangan teknologi lanjutan; kerjasama sertifikasi produk; perluasan promosi dan pasar atas produk, Meningkatkan sinergi inovasi yang berkelanjutan dengan lembaga riset inovasi pangan baik di daerah, nasional maupun internasional. Metode Penelitian adalah Eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Kandungan gizi cookies daging ikan Toman dan tepung Kalakai pada komponen uji kadar air, kadar abu dan serat kasar berada dalam kondisi diatas nilai maksimum SNI 01-2973-1992. Kandungan karbohidrat berada dalam kondisi dibawah nilai minimum SNI 01-2973-1992. Sedangkan kandungan protein, lemak, daya cerna protein dan kandungan energi berada dalam kondisi diatas nilai minimum SNI 01-2973-1992. Kandungan Fe dan Zn sesuai dengan Acuan Label Pangan (ALG) berdasarkan kesepakatan WNPG (2004).Disarankan perlu diadakan penelitian lanjutan untuk memperbaiki komposisi gizi, penampakan secara keseluruhan dan meminimalisir aroma amis yang terdapat pada cookies.

Abstract

In 2020 and 2021, there was a big flood in (Technical Implementation Unit) UPT Tanggul Harapan, Pematang Limau Village, Seruyan Hilir District and Mekar Indah Village, Seruyan Hilir Timur District and it forced some people to flee their homes. The overflowing of Seruyan River is caused by high intensity of rain and river flooding from the headwaters of Seruyan. This condition occurred because of Mekar Indah Village and UPT. Tanggul Harapan is in a downstream location. The main objective of this research is to find out the effective way of controlling floods in the Seruyan River. The calculation result of flood peak volume is obtained by using the synthesis of hydrograph units using the SCS and Snyder methods. The results of this research indicated that the design of periodic re-rain for 50 years prior to the handling of floods in the area of UPT Tanggul Harapan occurred flooding of 94.96% of the entire area of UPT Tanggul Harapan. Meanwhile, in Mekar Indah Village occurred 40.72%, after simulating flood handling in making an embankment along 20111 m, elevation 5 m above sea level, top width of the embankment 5 m and 4 units of floodgates. It indicated a significant change in the flood area in UPT Tanggul Harapan to only 1.23%, while in Mekar Indah Village it is 0.80%. The simulation result indicated that flood management by making embankment is able to reduce the flood area by 93.19% in UPT Tanggul Harapan and 39.92% in Mekar Indah Village.

Abstract

One of the obstacles in cultivating catfish (Clarias sp.) is low feed efficiency. Therefore, a breakthrough is needed in catfish cultivation to increase the efficiency of feed utilization which will lead to increased production and profits in catfish cultivation businesses. This study aims to evaluate the effect of supplementation with crude extracts of pineapple tubers and banana stems as well as commercial probiotic mixes on the growth performance of catfish in flooded peat soil ponds. This study consisted of four treatments, namely control (A), 6% crude extract of pineapple weevil, 2% crude extract of banana stem, and 0.2% commercial probiotic mix (B), 6% crude extract of pineapple weevil, extract 2% banana stem crude, and 0.4% commercial probiotic mix (C), and 6% dose of pineapple tuber crude extract, 2% banana stem crude extract, and 0.6% commercial probiotic mix (D) are mixed into the feed with repeated three times. Fish with an average initial weight of 1.5 g were randomly stocked in 12 hapa measuring 1 x 1 x 1 m3 installed in earthen ponds at a density of 40 fish/hapa. Fish were given the test feed ad satiation twice a day for 28 days. Supplementation with a 6% dose of pineapple tuber crude extract, 2% banana stem crude extract, and 0.4% commercial probiotic mix (treatment C) showed the best results on catfish growth performance parameters, namely the least amount of feed consumption, but still had biomass performance. harvest and daily weight growth were the same as controls.

Abstract

Kelurahan Pahandut adalah salah satu kelurahan di wilayah Kecamatan Pahandut, Kota Palangka Raya dengan topografi dataran rendah, berawa-rawa dan selalu terlimpasi oleh luapan air sungai Kahayan dalam waktu beberapa bulan bila musim banjir tiba. Lokasi kegiatan Pahandut Seberang merupakan salah satu wilayah pemukiman yang cukup padat di kelurahan Pahandut adalah dimana masyarakatnya bertempat tinggal di bantaran sungai Kahayan, dengan model rumah panggung yang terbuat dari kayu dan akses jalan sempit didominasi oleh jembatan kayu (titian), sehingga tidak mempunyai lahan pekarangan yang memadai sebagai tempat budidaya tanaman. Dilain pihak, peningkatan gizi masyarakat masih perlu ditingkatkan melalui penyuluhan nilai gizi ikan dan menumbuhkan kreativitas dalam mengolah produk ikan untuk keperluan konsumsi dan usaha kuliner sebagai sumber pendapatan

Abstract

Climbing Perch (Anabas testudineus Bloch) is a freshwater fish that inhabits swamps, rivers, lakes, and other water bodies. Some communities have begun cultivating climbing perch but still lack information on breeding techniques, leading to reliance on wild-caught fry. This community service activity, conducted by the Fisheries Department of the University of Palangka Raya in collaboration with the Tabiku Village Government, was to provide training on climbing perch breeding. This initiative aimed to encourage the community to engage in climbing perch hatchery businesses and improve the quality of climbing perch fry. The method used in this community service program was a participatory approach to climbing perch breeding. This included socialization, theoretical sessions on hatchery techniques, and hands-on training in various breeding activities. These activities covered fish spawning techniques, pond preparation, broodstock selection, spawning process, feeding, and fry harvesting. Five pairs of broodstock were used with a male-to-female ratio of 3:1. As a result of this program, approximately 25.000 eggs were produced, with an 85% hatching rate. The fertilization rate of papuyu fish eggs was 78%, resulting in 16.575 larvae. During the rearing period, 1.320 fry measuring 3–5 cm were obtained using a 4x6 meter tarpaulin pond. To improve the survival rate of climbing perch fry, increasing the number of nursery ponds for better fry development is recommended.

Abstract

Tingginya nilai ekonomi ikan Cupang jantan (Betta splendens) mendorong pengembangan teknik untuk meningkatkan proporsi kelamin jantan dalam produksi budidaya. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui teknik maskulinisasi pada fase awal perkembangan larva menggunakan bahan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ekstrak tepung biji durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.) terhadap maskulinisasi larva ikan Cupang melalui metode perendaman. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (0,5 mg/L metil testosteron), perlakuan B (20 mg/L ekstrak tepung biji durian), perlakuan C (30 mg/L ekstrak tepung biji durian), dan perlakuan D (40 mg/L ekstrak tepung biji durian). Larva ikan Cupang berumur 7–10 hari direndam selama 6 jam. Parameter yang diamati meliputi nisbah kelamin jantan dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelamin jantan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan C (30 mg/L) sebesar 85,71%, diikuti perlakuan B sebesar 83,33%, perlakuan A sebesar 76,39%, dan perlakuan D sebesar 72,22%. Kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan D sebesar 53,33%. Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap nisbah kelamin jantan (p = 0,904) maupun kelangsungan hidup larva (p = 0,590). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak tepung biji durian berpotensi sebagai bahan alami dalam proses maskulinisasi ikan Cupang, meskipun diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk menentukan dosis yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

Implementasi rencana zonasi kawasan konservasi memerlukan pemahaman dan dukungan aktif masyarakat, khususnya kelompok nelayan dan pelaku usaha pesisir. Rencana zonasi ini  berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahpahaman serta konflik pemanfaatan ruang. Oleh karena itu, sosialisasi dan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat menjadi langkah penting dalam mendukung pengelolaan kawasan konservasi yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam penyusunan Rencana Zonasi Kawasan Konservasi Taman Pesisir Teluk Sampit (KKP3K-06) dan Tanjung Cemeti (KKP3K-07) di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan pada Bulan September 2024 di Desa Ujung Pandaran, Kecamatan Teluk Sampit dengan melibatkan 30 peserta dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, diskusi partisipatif, dan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kuisioner pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat pesisir Teluk Sampit dan Tanjung Cemeti. Pemahaman arti konservasi, status kawasan, serta aturan kegiatan meningkat tajam setelah sosialisasi, dari kisaran 6,6–23,33% menjadi 73,33–100%. Persepsi pentingnya konservasi bagi masa depan nelayan juga naik dari 43,33% menjadi 83,33%, menandakan efektivitas kegiatan sosialisasi. Masyarakat menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi untuk terlibat aktif dalam pengelolaan kawasan konservasi. Sosialisasi ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan partisipatif, edukatif, dan kolaboratif dalam pengelolaan kawasan konservasi yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis masyarakat.

Abstract

Semah fish (Tor douronensis) is one of the endemic fish species with high economic value. However, the hatch rate of Semah fish eggs is still low due to contamination from waste and fungi. Washing the eggs with natural materials has been used to improve hatching success in various fish species, and one of the natural materials used is tea leaves because they contain tannins and flavonoids that can inhibit bacterial and fungal attacks. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using tea leaf extract (Camelia sinensis) on the hatching success of Semah fish eggs (Tor douronensis) at an optimal dosage. This study will use a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely: Treatment A) Tea leaf extract concentration 0.4 ml/L, Treatment B) Tea leaf extract concentration 0.6 ml/L, Treatment C) Tea leaf extract concentration 0.8 ml/L, and Treatment D) Tea leaf extract concentration 0 ml/L (Control). The research results, which have been conducted and analyzed descriptively regarding the injection of hCG three times over a 30-day maintenance period, show an effect on the gonad maturity index with an average value of 6.70%. The egg hatchability is 0.8 ml/L with a success rate of 89.67%, and it results in the largest egg diameter distribution ranging from 1.8 to 2.4 mm.

Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the main limiting factors in the reproduction of snakehead fish (Channa striata) is that the female broodstock fails to spawn, because they cannot complete the final stages of vitellogenesis and ovulation naturally. Therefore, a breakthrough is needed in snakehead fish hatchery to increase the percentage of female broodstock successfully spawning. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of providing fermented products combined with probiotic EM4 (Effective Microorganism-4) and noni fruit in feed on the reproductive performance of female broodstock snakehead fish. This research uses non-factorial experimental methods. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications, namely treatment A (feed without supplementation of the fermented product with a combination of EM4 probiotics and noni fruit), treatment B (feed with supplementation of the fermented product with a combination of EM4 probiotics and noni fruit at a dose 10%), and treatment C (feed supplemented with fermented products combined with EM4 probiotics and noni fruit at a dose 20%). The results of the research showed that the addition of snakehead female broodstock feed with a fermented product combining EM4 probiotics and noni fruit at a dose of 10% gave the best results, namely an average gonad maturity index (IKG) value of 2.56%, relative fecundity of 3562 eggs per female broodstock, fertilization rate 87.33%, hatching rate 91.67%, and egg yolk absorption time 78 hours, and prolarva survival rate 98.67%.
