Abstract

[Bahasa]: Limbah serbuk gergaji dari hasil pengolahan kayu di Desa Batulappa menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan, terutama pencemaran udara akibat pengelolaan yang tidak optimal. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan limbah serbuk gergaji tersebut dengan memberdayakan Kelompok Perempuan Desa Batulappa melalui berupa Upskilling mitra dalam pengolahan limbah serbuk gergaji menjadi Eco-Substrate Innovative. Mitra dalam program ini adalah 15 anggota Kelompok Perempuan Desa Batulappa yang tergabung dalam divisi SDM dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan berbasis partisipasi masyarakat (society participatory). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, yaitu rata-rata 90% dari aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah serbuk gergaji, dimana anggota mitra berhasil memahami dan menguasai teknik pengolahan serbuk gergaji menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis berupa Eco-Substrate Innovative. Selain itu, mitra juga memperoleh keterampilan tambahan, seperti pengemasan, pelabelan, pemasaran, dan pengelolaan keuangan sederhana. Melalui program pengabdian ini, mitra mampu mentransformasi limbah serbuk gergaji menjadi produk inovatif yang ramah lingkungan, sekaligus berpotensi untuk dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi bagi Kelompok Perempuan Desa Batulappa. Kata Kunci: eco-substrate innovative, fermentasi, media tanam, serbuk gergaji, society participatory [English]: Sawdust waste from wood processing in Batulappa Village has a negative impact on the environment, especially air pollution due to suboptimal management. This community service program aims to overcome the problem of sawdust waste by empowering the Batulappa Village Women's Group by processing sawdust waste into Innovative Eco-Substrate. The partners in this program were 15 Batulappa Village Women's Group members of the Human Resources and Environmental Management division. The methods used include extension, training, and mentoring based on community participation (society-participatory). The evaluation results show a significant increase, namely an average of 90% in terms of knowledge and skills in processing sawdust waste, where partner members succeeded in understanding and mastering the technique of processing sawdust into economically valuable products in the form of Innovative Eco-Substrate. In addition, partners also gained additional skills, such as packaging, labeling, marketing, and simple financial management. Through this community service program, partners can transform sawdust waste into innovative, environmentally friendly products while also having the potential to improve economic welfare for the Batulappa Village Women's Group. Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is the main focus in efforts to meet food needs and preserve the environment. Utilizing organic materials as an environmentally friendly alternative planting medium is one strategy that can be implemented. This service aims to evaluate the effectiveness of gamal leaves and duo bio (rice husks and banana stems) as sustainable planting media for plant growth. The implementation method for this community service is society participatory with three stages, namely the counseling stage, training stage and mentoring stage. The results of this service show that planting media containing gamal leaves and duo bio significantly increases plant growth compared to pure soil growing media. Planting media with a combination of gamal leaves and duo bio produced the highest plant growth, followed by planting media with gamal leaves, duo bio and pure soil. The use of gamal leaves and duo bio as an environmentally friendly alternative planting medium has proven to be effective in increasing plant growth. The use of this planting medium can be a sustainable solution to increase agricultural production and preserve the environment.

Abstract

Herbal drink dregs are the remaining natural ingredients left after the process of making herbal drinks. Although this dregs is usually considered waste, some people reuse it for other purposes such as Herb Scrub. The use of herbal drink dregs in Masago Village is not utilized due to lack of knowledge and skills of partners in processing herbal drink dregs. As a result, the community, especially the Taro Ada'E Karang Taruna Group in Masago Village, has not used the dregs of herbal drinks and tends to just throw them away. Therefore, this community service program aims to maximize the use of herbal drink dregs by processing them into a herbal scrub. This product has never been introduced by extension workers or other product innovations, especially in Bone Regency. Community empowerment through this service program is carried out through three main stages, namely counseling, training and mentoring. The results of this program show that partners are able to understand the benefits of processing herbal drink dregs and have the skills to turn them into a herbal scrub. Apart from that, partners have also succeeded in marketing products through the Marketplace with an increase in productivity of up to 99%. The impact of this service can realize sustainable development goals no. 3, namely a healthy and prosperous village.

Abstract

The issues of inadequate tourism management and the community's limited knowledge and understanding of tourism potential have become significant challenges in various regions, including Matajang Village. Insufficient management capacity has resulted in poorly maintained facilities and infrastructure, further aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a sharp decline in visitor numbers. Consequently, many previously thriving tourism sites in 2020 have been abandoned. This community service program (PKM) aims to address these challenges by providing education and skills enhancement to the local community through the 4A method (Attraction, Amenity, Accessibility, and Ancillary). The program seeks to foster partner independence in revitalizing and developing Baruttung Natural Bathing tourism using the 4A framework. The community service is conducted in three phases: counseling, training, and mentoring. Following the program, partners demonstrated a 90% improvement in their knowledge and skills related to identifying and managing tourism. This increase in capacity is expected to enhance the value of Baruttung Natural Bathing as a sustainable tourism destination, contributing to economic growth through job creation. Furthermore, this initiative aligns with government efforts to promote sustainable tourism development (SDGs 8) and supports the promotion of local culture and products (SDGs 12).

Abstract

Industrial by-products are industrial waste, which are produced during the production process of an industry but are not the desired main product. Components or materials that arise as a natural result of industrial processes and often have no commercial value or can even be considered waste. One of the industrial waste products is tofu dregs. Tofu dregs waste is a by-product of the process of making soybean tofu products. When soybeans are processed to produce tofu, the soybean seeds are soaked, ground, and extracted to obtain soy milk. This soy milk is then processed into tofu, while the tofu dregs become waste. Balangnipa sub-district has 4 tofu industries operating which produce tofu dregs waste which is only made or used as animal feed even though tofu dregs waste can be made into a product in the form of flour. The lack of public knowledge regarding processing of tofu dregs waste is the basis for this service. So that this service will help the community in implementing flour making through the stages of counseling, training and mentoring to Karang Taruna Group partners. The results of this program are able to increase partners' knowledge in processing tofu dregs waste into flour. The results of this program are able to increase partners' knowledge and productivity in processing tofu dregs waste into flour. The resulting product is packaged in a 500 gram pouch.

Abstract

Bermain merupakan salah satu aktivitas alam yang paling digemari anak-anak. Dapat dikatakan bahwa bermain merupakan salah satu sarana proses belajar. Salah satu permainan yang masih sering dimainkan oleh anak-anak di Sulawesi Selatan adalah permainan Maggurecceng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pendidikan matematika mengenai kelayakan penggunaan permainan ethnogames 3D melalui permainan Maggurecceng pada siswa kelas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 11 Bone dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu Kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi besar permainan tradisional berbasis teknologi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematika, khususnya pada konteks etnomatematika dimana terjadi peningkatan pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test mencapai skor 41,99 atau meningkat 73% dengan kategori rendah.

Abstract

The management of coconut shell waste is often overlooked by rural communities, despite its significant economic and environmental potential when properly processed. This community service program aimed to empower the residents of Tanete Village, Cina District, through innovative processing of coconut shell waste into cococharcoal. The methods employed included socialization, intensive training, and mentoring. The community was trained to produce cococharcoal using techniques such as carbonization, grinding, binder mixing, compaction, and briquette drying. Evaluation was conducted through pretests and posttests to measure technical understanding and skills before and after the training. The results showed a significant improvement, with the average posttest score reaching 82.3, compared to a pretest average of 52.3. This program had a positive impact by enhancing the community’s skills in utilizing coconut waste, creating new economic opportunities, and reducing environmental pollution. Additionally, the cococharcoal innovation contributed to reducing the carbon footprint through the use of environmentally friendly alternative energy. The outcomes of this initiative not only promoted the development of a local economy based on village resources but also supported sustainable development goals, particularly in clean energy and climate action. With these promising results, the program has the potential to be replicated in other areas as a model of sustainable, local resource-based community empowerment.

Abstract

Complex Problem Solving is one of the essential skills needed to navigate the workforce. However, students' mastery of Complex Problem Solving remains relatively low, particularly in mathematics. This study is a quantitative research aimed at analyzing Complex Problem Solving skills using interactive teaching media based on virtual reality through an ethnopedagogy approach. The research was conducted at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Kahu by dividing the trial classes into limited trials, extensive trials, and experimental trials.To assess Complex Problem Solving skills, five essay questions were used, reflecting indicators such as identifying complex problems, evaluating/analyzing problem information, and generating problem-solving solutions. The results showed that the average Complex Problem Solving skills of students in the trial classes increased by 87%. Meanwhile, in the control class, students' learning outcomes only improved by approximately 62%. These findings indicate that using interactive learning media based on virtual reality through an ethnopedagogy approach effectively enhances students' Complex Problem Solving skills.

Abstract

Mathematics is often seen as a difficult subject by elementary school students, especially because it is abstract and less interesting. In this article, we will discuss the implementation innovative learning media in the from of a pop-up book entitled “Magic Paper to Become a Teacher” in class IV at SD 38 Janna-Jannaya. The is to improve students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. This activy was carried out in two stages: first, the pop-up book was  introduced, and second, it increased students’ direct internation with the visual and mechanical elements of the book. The results obtained show an increase in students’ understanding and interest, create a more interactive learning atmosphere, and show more satisfactory evaluation results compared to conventional methods. Even though there are several obstacles, such as limited time and the number of books available, the use on this media has proven to be effective in creating a fun and meaningfull learning experience. Thus, pop-up books have great innovative solution that can be widely applited increasing the effectiveness of mathematics learning for elementary school students

Abstract

Keluwak merupakan komuditi yang potensial untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia, karena dapat memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi. Lokasi yang potensial untuk pengelolaan komuditi keluwak di Kabupaten Bone di kecamatan Bontocani. Selama ini keluwak tampaknya kurang mendapat perhatian oleh masyarakat sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi pasar, harga, strategi pemasaran, dan keunggulan produk dalam pengembangan bisnis tempe keluwak. Studi kasus dilakukan terhadap produk yang merupakan inovasi hidnokarpat (tempe) keluwak dengan kandungan protein tinggi. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis data harga tempe di Indonesia, survei potensi pasar, serta analisis strategi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga tempe meningkat dalam tiga bulan terakhir, memberikan peluang bagi produk alternatif seperti tempe keluwak. Potensi pasar tempe keluwak terlihat dari fluktuasi permintaan tempe di Indonesia serta minat masyarakat terhadap makanan organik dan lokal. Strategi pemasaran yang melibatkan media sosial, marketplace, dan pemasaran offline menjadi kunci dalam memperkenalkan produk ini kepada konsumen. Keunggulan produk terletak pada kandungan nutrisi tinggi, rasa khas keluwak, serta potensi manfaat kesehatan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan pandangan yang komprehensif terkait pengembangan bisnis tempe keluwak sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam industri pangan.
