Abstract

Background Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), it was reported that the prevalence of dental and oral problems in Indonesia is still very high, namely 57.6 percent. Of this figure, only 10.20% have received treatment. Dental and oral health in Indonesia, especially in coastal areas, is still a complex problem. (Komarudin, Apriasari and Azizah, 2021) Lack of public attention and equal distribution of health facilities, especially in the field of Dentistry, are still factors that influence public understanding of dental and oral health. Dental and oral health status can be assessed using the DMF-T and def-t indices. Objective To assess the dental and oral health status in children aged 7-10 years MI Tarbiyatut Tholabah, Paciran Lamongan Method Dental and oral examination of children aged 7-10 years MI by assessing the DMF-T and def-t indices. Conclusion The results of the dental and oral examination of students at MI Tarbiyatut Tholabah, Paciran Lamongan with a def-t value of 2.71 which means the dental and oral health status with moderate results, and the DMF-T index with a result of 0.56 which means very low.

Abstract

The public always asks whether the rights obtained by patients while being treated by  dentists compared to CoAss dentists are the same and whether they get legal protection while being treated by CoAss dentists. This research aims to discuss the legal protection of patients who are treated by CoAss dentists at the Dental Education Hospital. The method used in this study is a normative legal methodology and  descriptive analytical with an approach to Law no. 17 of 2023 concerning Health (Health Law). The results of the study show that patients have the right to fulfill their rights, including obtaining complete information, consent to medical actions, confidentiality, and legal protection from negligent acts regulated in the Health Law and PP 28 of 2024 concerning implementing regulations for the Health Law.. patient rights and legal responsibilities towards CoAss operating under the supervision of senior doctors/DPJP can be fulfilled. The findings show that even though CoAss doesn’t yet have a practice permit, patient rights at RSGMP are still fulfilled, with procedures that prioritize patient safety. This article emphasizes the importance of strict supervision from institutions, clear regulations regarding patient rights, and the need for a complaint mechanism to improve the quality of medical services.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Peri-implantitis treatment aims to replace the damaged bone with new and healthy tissue during bone remodeling process. Bone grafts are materials used to stimulate the formation of new bone. Bone graft material derived from Anadara granosa (AG) can be synthesized into hydroxyapatite–tricalcium phosphate (HA-TCP) at a 70:30 ratio, which supports bone regeneration, as indicated by an increase in osteoblast numbers and decrease in osteoclast numbers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Anadara granosa bone graft in the number of osteoblasts and osteoclasts during bone remodeling process. Methods: This study employed an experimental design with a post-test only control group. A total of 84 mice were divided into 12 groups (7 mice per group): negative control (K−), positive control (K+), and treatment group (P), each observed on days 14 and 28. Histological analysis was performed to count osteoblasts and osteoclasts. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Results: The number of osteoclasts was significantly reduced in the treatment groups (P14: 7.00 ± 1.528; P28: 6.57 ± 1.512) compared to the positive controls (K+14: 13.86 ± 2.410; K+28: 14.29 ± 1.496). On the contrary, the number of osteoblasts increased in the treatment groups (P14: 7.14 ± 1.676; P28: 8.57 ± 1.272) compared to the positive controls (K+14: 2.57 ± 1.512; K+28: 3.86 ± 1.574). Statistical analysis indicated that osteoblasts showed significant differences after AG treatment (p<0.05), and the ANOVA test showed significant differences in osteoclast number after AG treatment (p<0.05).      Conclusion: The number of osteoblasts increases while the number of osteoclast reduces in bone remodelling of bone defect caused by peri-implantitis using AG bone graft.
