Abstract

Several previous studies have proven that low socio-economic factors are the causes of crime.Central Java is a province with a fairly low level of socio-economic welfare. However, thisprovince is also one of the provinces with the lowest crime rate in Indonesia. This researchaims to prove the socio-economic factors including poverty, education, unemployment, incomeper capita, and area effect on the total crime in all districts of Central Java. This research is aquantitative research using the panel data from 35 districts of Central Java in the period of2018-2022. The data was analyzed using spatial econometric methods with a panel dataapproach. Based on the results of Spatial Auto Regressive (SAR) with Fixed Effect Model(FEM) shows that education and income per capita have significant negative impact on crime.

Abstract

Company X is a paving block molding machine fabrication company in Surabaya. However, the machine still has some shortcomings because it is still conventional or manually operated. Some of these shortcomings, such as being still prone to human error and being less consistent when operating, can affect the results of the amount of production. From this phenomenon, automation is very important in the industrial world. Therefore, by referring to previous phenomenon, through this research, an automatic control system is made on paving block molding machine using PLC. The results showed that PLC succeeded in developing a system that works automatically on the machine. Then, the ladder diagram used several instructions, including interlock, timer, counter, and set reset according to how the machine works. Then, the PLC-based automatic control system has a shorter cycle time than the original manual machine. Cycle time has decreased by 15.4%. From this decrease in cycle time, if simulated related to production capacity, an automatic control system can increase the production per hour by 300 pcs more than the manually operated machine.

Abstract

Penyakit malaria adalah penyakit yang berbahaya, sehingga harus diwaspadai. Nyamuk Anopheles sp adalah vector penularnya. Upaya yang bisa dilakukan diantaranya mengetahui ekologi tempat perindukan larva Anopheles sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis perindukan, kekeruhan, suhu, pH, tumbuhan air dan hewan air yang ada ditempat yang diduga sebagai tempat perindukan larva Anopheles sp yang ada di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survey yang dilaksanakan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin Tahun 2017. Hasil penelitan menunjukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin terdapat 3 jenis tempat perindukan larva Anopheles sp dengan jenis sungai 36,36%, rawa-rawa 100% dan kolam 100% dan ditemukan larva sebanyak 57% dari keseluruhan tempat perindukan.Tempat perindukan larva Anopheles sp dengan kondisi air yang jernih dan keberadaan larva adalah rawa-rawa 75% dengan suhu antara 260 – 300 C,terdapatnya dan memiliki pH antara 5-6, tempat perindukan dengan tumbuhan air 81,25% dan terdapatnya keberadaan larva. Sedangkan binatang air/predator 37,5% . Masyarakat yang tinggal disekitar tempat perindukan dapat menghilangkan tumbuhan air di tempat perindukan dan memelihara bintang seperti ikan sebagai predator pemakan larva.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production efficiency of Melte Vanana banana chips agroindustry through the calculation of COGS using the full costing method, BEP analysis, and mapping the marketing structure applied by CV. Vanana Jaya Sinergi in Bandar Lampung City. The study was conducted in January 2025 using a mixed methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving eleven respondents directly engaged in the production and marketing chain. The sampling method applied was purposive sampling based on the respondents’ direct involvement in the production and marketing processes. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that COGS per package varied across flavors: Vanilla Milk (IDR 4,696), Green Tea (IDR 5,014), Yummy Chocolate (IDR 5,656), Coffee Latte (IDR 5,788), and Cheese Melt (IDR 5,868), with a uniform selling price of IDR 10,000/unit, generating profit margins ranging from 41% to 53%. The overall Gross Profit Margin (GPM) reached 57.2%, exceeding the average of similar micro, small and medium enterprises. All product variants operated above the BEP with significant margins of safety. The marketing structure operated through three tiers distributors, agents, and resellers with a farmer share of 66.7%, indicating an efficient marketing channel. This study concludes that Melte Vanana agroindustry has achieved good production and marketing efficiency. A key limitation is the concentration of raw material supply (78%) on a single supplier, which poses a significant supply chain risk. Future research is recommended to incorporate BEP sensitivity analysis and broader multi-period data.
