Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Big Five Personality and self-efficacy on academic procrastination among final-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Teuku Umar. This research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The population consisted of 281 final-year students, with a sample of 74 respondents determined using the Slovin formula at a 10% margin of error. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with the simple random sampling method. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 24. The results show that openness to experience has a positive and significant effect on academic procrastination, while conscientiousness has a negative and significant effect. Meanwhile, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism, and self-efficacy do not have a significant effect on academic procrastination. These findings indicate that academic procrastination among final-year students is more strongly explained by openness to new experiences and self-discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of burnout among nurses at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Subulussalam City. Burnout is a condition characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment, often experienced by healthcare workers due to high workloads and psychological pressure in performing their duties. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, involving 50 nurses selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.897 indicating a reliable instrument. The results revealed that the level of burnout among nurses at RSUD Subulussalam City was in the moderate to high category, with emotional exhaustion being the most dominant component. Contributing factors to burnout include heavy workloads, shift work systems, and the significant responsibility for patient safety. These findings are consistent with the theory of Maslach and Jackson (1981), which states that professions requiring intensive human interaction, such as nursing, are highly prone to burnout. Therefore, it is recommended that the hospital management improve work stress management, provide psychological support, and implement effective supervision to maintain nurses’ mental well-being and enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational experience and part-time work experience on work readiness among students of Universitas Teuku Umar. A quantitative correlational approach was employed with a population of students who have organizational and part-time work experience. The sample consisted of 107 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1–5 and analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS version 25, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that partially, organizational experience (X₁) has a positive and significant effect on work readiness (Y) with t-value of 7.410 > t-table 1.983 (sig. 0.000 < 0.05), and part-time work experience (X₂) also has a positive and significant effect with t-value of 5.109 > t-table 1.983 (sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on work readiness with F-value of 71.488 > F-table 3.08 (sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The R Square value of 0.579 indicates that both variables explain 57.9% of the variation in work readiness, while the remaining 42.1% is explained by other variables outside the study. Students are expected to be more active in organizational activities and utilize part-time work experience to enhance skills and readiness for the workforce.
