Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of feed, namely natural the growth and color brightness of GloFish Starfire Red. Achieving optimal color brightness and growth is essential in ornamental fish cultivation, as these factors directly impact the marketability and economic value of the fish. The research employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments each replicated three times to ensure the validity of results. The parameters measured in this study included absolute weight growth, absolute length increase, and brightness in color. Color brightness was analyzed using a digital visual comparison tool to ensure objective measurement. The findings revealed that natural feed significantly enhanced both weight and length growth when compared to artificial feed. Furthermore, fish that were fed with Chironomidae exhibited a more pronounced improvement in color brightness than those subjected to other treatments. These results suggest that specific types of natural feed may offer superior benefits over artificial feed in promoting both aesthetic and physical development in ornamental fish like Glofish Starfire Red.

Abstract

Dissolved oxygen in aquaculture systems, including aquaponics systems, cannot be filled only by natural diffusion, so an artificial aeration system is needed. Suboptimal aeration levels not only affect metabolic activity, but also affect serum and fish blood performance (hematology). This study aims to evaluate the impact of the aeration system on the health and well-being of fish cultivated in an aquaponics system. The method used is by studying the literature related to the aeration system of fish farming carried out in the aquaponic system which is relevant to the keywords of aquaponic system, aeration system, fish health and hematology from various sources such as: Google Scholar, Elsevier, Springer and Research Gate. Based on the comparison of several studies, it can be concluded that the aquaponic system using an aeration system can improve fish health performance based on hematological parameters.

Abstract

Feed availability is a crucial factor in aquaculture, accounting for approximately 6070% of total production costs. High-quality feed is often expensive due to reliance on imported ingredients. To address this issue, animal-based organic waste presents a promising alternative, given its abundance, underutilization, and high nutritional value when properly processed. This review was conducted from November 2024 to January 2025 using a narrative literature review approach, synthesizing previous publications to identify research gaps and development opportunities. Literature was sourced from national and international scientific databases, including Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and ResearchGate. The study aimed to explore the production of fermented animal by-product meal and its application in aquafeed to enhance fish growth performance. Findings indicate that fermentation significantly improves the nutritional quality of animal waste. Several reviewed studies reported that incorporating fermented by-products such as fish offal, poultry feathers, and blood at inclusion levels of 2025% can improve the growth and survival rates of juvenile fish. Therefore, the optimal use of such ingredients is recommended to reduce feed costs and support the sustainability of aquaculture systems. Keywords:Alternative ingredientsFish wasteChicken Feather WasteBlood WasteFermentationFish feed

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics of Indonesian language textbooks for grade IV Chapter 1 entitled “Sudah Besar” by Eva Nukman, based on the standards set by the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). The analysis method used is descriptive qualitative with an evaluative approach. The results of the analysis show that the material in Chapter 1 is in accordance with the learning outcomes of Phase B of the Merdeka Curriculum, especially in the development of understanding and production of narrative text. Linguistically, the use of spelling is quite appropriate and communicative, although there are some inconsistencies in the use of punctuation and list writing format. In terms of presentation, this book contains learning activities that are contextualized and able to increase students' learning motivation through reflective activities, discussions, and creative projects. Visualization in the book supports optimal understanding of the content. However, there are still shortcomings in the aspects of syntax, morphology, and discourse transition that need to be improved. Overall, the book can be used with little improvement/development to support the learning process of Indonesian language at the elementary school level.
