Abstract

This paper examines the practice of remuneration of farm laborers with the kali lubang tutuik lubang system in the perspective of fiqh muamalah. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive research type. This research was conducted in Nagari Lawang Mandahiling, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. The data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed using interactive model of analysis, starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research shows that the wage contract with the kali lubang tutuik lubang system is in the form of a speech containing an agreement about the type of work, place, and time of work. Wages are not paid directly by the land owner on the first day, but on the second day or when the worker gets a second job from the same person. If there is no work on the second day or other work, wages will be deferred one week from the last day of work. According to the fiqh muamalah review, wages with this system are legal, because from a legal point of view, the contract has met the terms and conditions. Both parties also understand that the system has been going on for a long time. However, from an ethical aspect, such a wage system contains demages, because it contains elements of neglecting the payment of wages.

Supply chain management in agroindustry emphasizes a management approach to a network of facilities and distribution channels that includes procurement of materials, production, and delivery of agroindustry products to end consumers. The research methodology used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which is the literature review method that identifies, evaluates, and interprets all findings on a research topic, to answer research questions. The results of the study imply that in order to manage the agroindustry supply chain the entire supply chain structure must be well understood by focusing more on the quality of external relations with supply chain actors and who focus actor on partnership, trust and sustainability in conducting agroindustry supply chain activities. Agroindustry managers must investigate why they must manage, what must be managed and how to manage agroindustry supply chains. To explore the agroindustry supply chain that a manager must integrated the system, examine the nature, linkages and dependencies between business operations in the agroindustry supply chain. Suggestions from researchers that this four-step approach to meeting sustainability must be implemented in the agroindustry supply chain, and optimalized or later all organizations will adopt the SCM concept in achieving competitive advantage.

Abstract

Abstract

Solok Regency is the largest potato-producing area in West Sumatra. However, from 2015 until 2020, potato production in Solok Regency has experienced a decline. The decline in potato production in Solok Regency indicates production risks in potato farming. The decrease in potato production could be caused by several factors related to potato farming, such as rainfall, pests, diseases, and others. This study aims to identify and assess the sources of production risks in potato farming and analyze risk management in managing production risks in potato farming in Nagari Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency. Data were collected from 31 potato farmers in Nagari Alahan Panjang, the village with the highest potato production in Solok Regency. This study used a risk mapping matrix to analyze the data. The results of the study found nine sources of production risk in potato farming, namely: poor seeds, high rainfall, expensive fertilizers, unproperly weeding, caterpillar pests, thrips pests, pig pests, fusarium wilt disease, and phytophthora disease. This study formulates two types of risk management: preventive and mitigation strategies. A preventive approach is to prevent or reduce the frequency of risk by rotating crops properly and using organic fertilizers. A mitigation strategy is to minimize the impact of production risks by diversifying crops, utilizing biological agents of Trichoderma sp, applying proper Weeding, and partnering with certified potato seed breeders to get good quality seed.

Abstract

Traditional food plays a vital role in supporting agriculture and strengthening local industries, yet globalization and lifestyle changes have shifted consumer preferences. This study analyzes Gen-Z’s attitudes toward traditional food in Padang City, West Sumatra, a well-known culinary tourism destination. Using a qualitative approach, 185 Gen-Z consumers were interviewed through non-probability accidental sampling. Results indicate that 54.6% of respondents know how to prepare traditional food, with knowledge largely inherited from parents or family (70.5%). Consumption occurs several times a week (53.5%), most often with family (53.5%) and during cultural ceremonies (25.2%). Purchases are primarily made at food stalls or canteens (68.1%) and outlets (25.4%), rather than cafés or restaurants. Digital platforms are widely used for purchasing (59.4%), with Shopee (39.5%) and Go-Food (26.9%) being the most popular. The main reasons for consumption are authentic taste (50.8%) and affordable price (38.9%). Gen-Z expresses pride in consuming traditional food (52.9%) and a strong willingness to promote it (84.6%), though they also show a considerable tendency toward fast food (52.9%). Future efforts should emphasize food parenting, packaging innovation, and digital marketing to attract Gen-Z preferences and ensure the preservation of traditional culinary heritage.
