The limitation of number of mental health professionals practicing at the primary health care center requires health care workers to be able to identify and intervene early in cases of mental disorders. Therefore, mental health first aid training for health care workers is needed. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of mental health first aid training to improve mental health literacy of the health care workers in the primary health care center. This was a simple randomized design with one group. The intervention was mental health first aid training which includes six sessions, namely mental health, mental health first aid, depression, anxiety, psychotics, and action plan. The training was attended by 58 health care workers and 1 staff from the Health Office of Surabaya. The instruments used were Mental Illness: Clinicians' Attitude Scale (MICA-4) to measure attitudes towards people with mental disorders and true-false questions to measure knowledge about mental health. The result of data analysis with paired-samples t-test showed that the mental health first aid training was effective in increasing the mental health literacy of health workers. Participants showed a significant increase in understanding of mental health (t = 3.575; p = 0.000). However, the limited opportunities for practice and direct interaction with mental patients affects the insignificant impact of training on changing attitudes towards people with mental disorders (t = -0.371; p = 0.753). Finally, this study recommends training methods that involve more practice in the future.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on various aspects of human life, including mental health issues. Teenagers are a group that also feels the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the problems faced by teenagers during the pandemic include changes in the learning environment that trigger a sense of laziness to fail in learning, addiction to online games, to problems in social interaction. The characteristics of adolescents who tend to be closed make the problems faced by adolescents are often unknown to teachers and parents. Therefore, this study aims to equip adolescents with knowledge about self-help abilities to prevent mental disorders in adolescents. Aspects of knowledge provided in this activity is knowledge about learning styles, assertiveness, and self-management. The activity was carried out for the students of MAN 2 Pontianak with the webinar method and discussion via WhatsApp group. There are a total of 15 pre-test and post-test data processed in this activity. The results show that there are differences in the average scores on all the variables measured in this activity, namely knowledge of learning styles, knowledge of assertiveness, knowledge of self-management, level of assertiveness and level of self-management. The analysis of the paired sample t-test difference test showed that the p value < 0.05 which indicated that there was a significant difference between learning style knowledge and self-management skill level between the pre-test and post-test sessions. In addition, the p value > 0.05 which indicates that there is no significant difference between assertiveness knowledge, assertiveness level and knowledge of self-management before and after intervention activities are given.

Family sexual violence is a crucial topic to talk about since it causes victims to suffer traumatic experience and has lasting ramifications that affect their life, one of which is that it may result in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Family sexual assault cases are rarely reported by the victim or his family, making it unlikely that the victim would obtain the proper medical and legal care. This study, which is a single case study, examines the psychological dynamics of women who suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder as a result of familial sexual violence. The findings showed that victims of sexual violence experienced emotional hurdles and little social assistance from their families and places of employment. This makes the participants' situation worse, especially when it comes to forming social connections. These results suggest that in order for survivors of sexual assault to feel safer and more in control, there is a need for increased social rehabilitation and counseling.

The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of self management training to increase happinesss on social workers that work in children social organization. This study used a quasi experimental research with seven social workers from three different Children Social Organization. The type of quasi experimental designs is single group pretest posttest design. Instrument that used is The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire from Argyle and Hills (2001) that has adapted to bahasa Indonesia. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with sig 0,075 that means there is not a significant difference happiness score before and after self management training given.

The complexity of writing a thesis causes difficulties or obstacles for students, which can result in the emergence of anxiety symptoms. This study aims to determine whether the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach can reduce the level of communication apprehesion experienced by students who are working on a thesis. Study 1 used a quantitative experimental method with a non-control group design and study 2 used a qualitative method. The participants in this study were 5 students from one of the universities in Surabaya. The results of study 1 show that providing interventions in the form of group counseling with a CBT approach can reduce the level of communication apprehension experienced by students who are working on their thesis. The results of study 2 show that group members can change their cognitive distortions so that they have a more positive thought process. Group members are also able to apply CBT strategies that have been done together to reduce their communication anxiety so that it can increase the effectiveness of communication in preparing the thesis. ABSTRAK Kompleksitas penulisan skripsi menimbulkan kesulitan ataupun kendala bagi mahasiswa, yang dapat berakibat munculnya gejala-gejala kecemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pendekatan Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) dapat menurunkan tingkat kecemasan komunikasi yang dialami oleh mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Studi 1 menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan non control group design dan studi 2 menggunakan metode kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang mahasiswa dari salah satu universitas di Surabaya. Hasil studi 1 menunjukkan bahwa pemberian intervensi berupa konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan CBT dapat menurunkan tingkat kecemasan komunikasi yang dialami oleh mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Hasil studi 2 menunjukkan bahwa anggota kelompok dapat mengubah distorsi kognitifnya sehingga memiliki proses berpikir yang lebih positif. Anggota kelompok pun mampu untuk menerapkan strategi-strategi CBT yang telah dilakukan bersama untuk menurunkan kecemasan komunikasinya sehingga dapat meningkatkan keefektifan komunikasi dalam penyusunan skripsi.

Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga pada individu tertentu dapat menimbulkan gejala trauma, seperti kecenderungan menghindari situasi pencetus ingatan buruk hingga perasaan waspada terhadap lingkungan. Korban kekerasan berpotensi memiliki gangguan psikologis, salah satunya yaitu post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas Cognitive Behavior Therapy pada individu dengan Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) korban kekerasan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan single subject design. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan seorang perempuan yang pernah mengalami kekerasan dari suaminya. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan tes psikologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cognitive behaviour therapy berpengaruh terhadap penurunan rasa cemas dan takut serta mengubah distorsi kognitif mengenai sumber ketakutan. Hasil observasi, wawancara, dan worksheet yang telah dikerjakan menunjukkan partisipan berhasil mengatasi rasa cemas dan takut yang dialaminya.

Masyarakat Kelurahan Matawolot adalah masyarakat yang plural dan umumnya adalah masyarakat Pendatang/transmigran. Pendampingan bidang ekonomi tentu menjadi prioritas setiap agenda pendampingan yang dilakukan di daerah ini. Begitupula dengan pendampingan di bidang pendidikan dan keagamaan, juga perlu mendapat perhatian dari segenap pihak sehingga nantinya lahir generasi yang mandiri secara ekonomi dan unggul dalam bidang pendidikan dan keagamaan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan regulasi emosi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan regulasi emosi pada siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan terpilih sebanak 21 partisipan sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk pretest dan posttest adalah skala Emotion Regulation Questionnare (ERQ) yang terdiri dari 10 item, dengan 6 item mengukur strategi cognitive reappraisal dan 4 item mengukur strategi expressive supression. Pelatihan regulasi emosi dilaksanakan sebanyak 6 sesi dengan beberpa metode seperti ceramah, diskusi dan roleplay. Hasil analisis data menggunakan paired sample test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan regulasi dapat meningkatkan keteranpilan regulasi emosi siswa.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) atau gangguan perilaku menentang merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada remaja. Remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan dapat menjadi rentan terhadap permasalahan perilaku yang terkait dengan penyesuaian lingkungan, aturan dan teman-teman baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih lanjut mengenai permasalahan perilaku, diagnosis serta dinamika psikologis dari perilaku menentang yang ditampilkan oleh KPS. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah satu orang yang merupakan remaja putri berusia 14 tahun. Teknik pengambilan data yang dilakukan terdiri dari wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi serta rangkaian tes psikologi mencakup tes grafis (DAP, BAUM & HTP), Children Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Forer’s Sentence Completion Test (FSCT) dan Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa KPS memenuhi kriteria gangguan perilaku menentang (ODD) berdasarkan DSM-IV TR. Faktor-faktor terkait perilaku kasar dari ibu kandung dan perpindahan pengasuhan pada beberapa pihak mendasari kesulitan KPS untuk mengembangkan rasa aman dalam hubungannya sehingga ditunjukkan dalam perilaku tidak adaptif. Hal ini kemudian mempengaruhi terbentuknya insecure attachment pada KPS yang kemudian membuat KPS menentang figur otoritasnya, sering marah dan menyalahkan orang lain.

The common causes (CC) approach is popular in psychopathology research, but nowadays, some experts consider this approach unfit to explain mental disorders. On the other hand, as a new approach, the network approach (NA) claims can provide a better explanation for understanding mental disorders. This study aims to determine the differences between NA and CC approach in psychopathology research. This research is a scoping review study using twelve articles. We searched for articles September-December 2020 in the Scopus and Science Direct databases. The results of the analysis of these articles show a fundamental difference between the two perspectives. The difference lies in the perspective of mental disorders, how to measure symptoms of mental disorders, treatment of mental disorders, and views on comorbidities. Each approach has advantages, although some articles support that NA is the better approach to studying mental disorders. To decide which approach is appropriate for psychopathology research, researchers should adapt it to the research objectives. Perspectives on psychopathology will determine how to answer the research questions and analyze the data.
