Abstract

Gethuk pisang is a food product made from banana which is a traditional food from Kediri Regency. However, gethuk pisang production process still uses the traditional method. Of course that was require more time and labor to meet consumer demands. Machines to improve the gethuk pisang production process have been made before, but these machines are still not optimal in terms of production capacity. Therefore, we need an idea and innovation to create a machine to improve the production of gethuk pisang in the form of a machine for mixing and molding the dough of gethuk pisang for home-scale industries. The machine manufacturing process will use the Ulrich method from identifying machine requirements to selecting concepts and fabrication. Based on the results of the design using the Ulrich method, the design concept was chosen 1. Then planning, calculation and analysis will be carried out to determine the components to build the machine. The next stage is making of detailed drawings of the machine, followed by the fabrication and testing process. In testing the mixer and molding machine for gethuk pisang’s dough, the machine is capable of producing 31.74 kg per hour with a total cost of Rp.6,491,500,-.

Abstract

In this study, the main girder overhead crane construction design with a SWL capacity of 2 tons was carried out for the outboard engine laboratory at PPNS. The design is continued with the analysis of the strength of the construction made to calculate the maximum stress, and deflection. The analysis process will use the FEM (fenite element methods) approach using FUSION 360 software. Comparing the simulation results is carried out on the resulting stress values. From the results of the design and analysis, it is found that the dimensions of the main girder have met the requirements.

Abstract

Spices chopping machine with double chopper is a machine that functions to chopper or thinly slice empon-empon using a double chopper. This machine is a development product of the spices chopping machine with one chopper and manual chopper so as to produce high spices chopping production compared to one chopper machine and manually. However, the results of the development of the chopping machine are still quite expensive for the home-scale herbal medicine industry. The application of reducing expenses needs to be applied with consideration to the design of a spices chopping machine with double chopper that is more efficient by taking into account the ease of manufacturing and assembly in accordance with the DFMA technique and analyzing the structure of the lifetime of certain components to keep the machine working optimally. The initial product that has been redesigned creates 2 new designs. From the simulation results of the three spices chopping machine with double chopper design concepts that have been described, it can be concluded that the new design concept 1 meets the three criteria indicated by a safety factor value of 13.08, labor cost 613.50 s, manufacturing cost the lowest is $279.66 and bearing component lifetime is 698.3 months and the lifetime of v-belt components is 1564,045 hours of work, then the design concept that has the best simulation results is the redesign of 1 spices chopping machine with double chopperris.

Abstract

State-owned oil and gas companies coorporate with manufacturing companies that have been recommended to make Pertashop modular. PT. INKA Multi Solusi is one of the fabricators that produces Pertashop modular. In 2022 PT. INKA Multi Solusi plans to produce 1000 units the demand for Pertashop needsthroughout Indonesia. Pertashop fabrication process at PT. INKA Multi Solusi there are stages of the perlite insulation process on the side between the inner tank and outer tank which is carried out by 6 workers manually, by lifting the results of the cast mixer with a reservoir and then pouring it into the modular. The average time required for perlite insulation is 1 hour 15 minutes, so it is necessary to have an auxiliary machine for the distribution process of perlite insulation concrete to increase production effectiveness. The process of making machines using the Ulrich method starts from identifying consumer needs, determining design concepts, selecting design concepts, carrying out the fabrication process and testing machines. In testing this machine is able to distribute perlit concrete material as far as 2 meters vertically and 2 meters horizontally with an output capacity of 4 kg/minute with a total budget of Rp. 11.849.000,-

Abstract

consumers and markets need a new product in order to remain competitive in the industry 4.0 era. One way is to make products that are more environmentally friendly as well as to reduce the impact on the environment in the manufacture of these products. Sustainability is one of the appropriate methods to reduce the negative impact of working on a product on the environment, starting from the selection of materials, the selection of the fabrication process, and the percentage of machine parts that will become waste. The selection of the product that will be used as the initial product or as the object of a redesign is a mini concrete pump with one weakness in the fabrication process which results in too many negative impacts on the environment, one of which is in the selection of materials and the work process carried out. Initial product that has been redesigned creates 2 new designs. From the three designs, a sustainability analysis was applied and it was found that the design that has less impact on the environment based on the Sustainability Analysis analysis includes a carbon footprint of 820 kg CO2e, total energy consumption of 8900 MJ, water acidification of 5 Kg SO2e, and water eutrophication of 0.680 Kg PO4e was found on the mini concrete pump redesign concept 1.

Abstract

Abstract – The red brick manufacturing industry is starting to be abandoned by many people and switch to using hebel bricks. Several things have caused red bricks to be abandoned, namely the price of red bricks is more expensive when compared to lightweight bricks for a size of 1 m2, besides that red bricks produced by conventional production processes have a red brick surface shape that is often uneven. Based on these conditions, we need an idea and innovation to create a machine to improve the production of red bricks in the form of a machine for smoothing and molding the clay of red brick for home-scale industries. The machine manufacturing process will use the Ulrich method from identifying machine requirements to selecting concepts and fabrication. Then planning, calculation and analysis will be carried out to determine the components to build the machine. The next stage is making of detailed drawings of the machine, followed by the fabrication and testing process. In testing clay smoothing and molding machine for red brick, the machine is capable of producing 120 red bricks per hour with a total cost of Rp. 12.217.500,-.

Abstract

Along with the population growth that increases every year in Indonesia, The more electrical energy needs that must be distributed to each user. The use of electrical energy in Indonesia is still a lot that uses limited fuel sources which can run out over time. Meanwhile, Indonesia has a lot of renewable energy potential, such as the use of rivers or irrigation channels as a source of renewable energy. This research is to design and build a screw turbine using irrigation channels to turn it into electrical energy. In the process of product design and development in this study using the Ulrich method by comparing 3 product concepts and in this study, the first concept was chosen because it was considered in accordance with the needs, including easy fabrication, good function, good portability andlower costs than existing products. For the performance test results made with an irrigation environment that has a current speed of 086 m/s, the resulting generator output is 69.7V, 0.56A and the generator rotation is 357.3 rpm. For the total cost of production HPP (cost of goods manufactured) of Rp. 5,343,000,-

Abstract

CV. Setia Abadi Printing is a company that engaged in the packaging industry. The machine used by this company is a rotogravure printing machine, most of which are desingned and made personally by the owner of the company. The cylinder component is an important part of the rotogravure printing machine because in the production process the cylinder component is in direct contact with the production material, namely plastic. In transporting cylinder components, employees still use manual labor from the workshop area to the production area with a distance of 350 meters and the weight of the cylinder components reaches 50 kg, so it is very ineffective and waste a lot of manpower. The method used by the author is the Ulrich method through the selection of several design concepts, the design of which is assisted by CAD software for drawing, fabrication, assembly of machine components and tool testing to determine the production results of the tool. Based on the results of planning and design that has been done, the dimensions of the tool with the main dimension 1395 mm x 580 mm x 1092 mm. For drive is designed using a linear system of electric actuators. In the prototype test the automatic lift table tool cylinder transporter using a linear system of electric actuators was able to carry a load of 50 kg and lifted as high as 1 meter.

Abstract

Outdoor Furniture Company is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry that produces goods according to orders received. In the production process, one of the orders currently being produced is found a condition that makes the production process not effective, namely the process of preparing raw materials which is still done manually. Therefore, this research was carried out by making a design for an uncoiler as well as being useful as a cutter for the process of preparing raw materials. The method used in this research is the Ulrich method, where this method consists of the stages of the development process to get the best design as needed. Based on the results of design, manufacture, and testing, an uncoiler cutting plate strip is produced as a tool for one of the manufacturing processes for cutting strip plate material. This tool is designed using Fusion 360 software and the Ulrich method for selecting the best concept from 3 existing concepts. After testing, this tool is able to cut strip plate material with various dimensions according to the plan and has a precision level under 5 mm, and is able to cut at a speed of less than 38 seconds, which means this tool is better than existing products in the company.

Abstract

Commercial vehicles are considered to be able to facilitate the logistics process, for example three-wheeled commercial vehicles, but on the other hand the less affordable prices make people spin their brains to modify makeshift vehicles to be used as commercial vehicles by ignoring safety, security, or comfort. Therefore, a minimalist three-wheeled scooter was created to reduce prices but not reduce safety, features, and comfort for the rider or those around him so that they can compete with products in their class. In this final project the author focuses on designing an optimal exhaust system for a minimalist three-wheeled scooter. The exhaust system serves to reduce exhaust noise from the engine and affect the comfort of the rider and those around him. With the Ulrich method, a suitable concept for a three-wheeled scooter will be selected. Based on the results of the calculation and design process on the exhaust system, the dimensions of the exhaust system channel are 433.25 mm x 98.85 mm x 95.13 mm and the muffler is 360 mm x 76.2 mm x 76.2 mm. Fluid flow analysis shows a back pressure of 15.62 Pa in the exhaust system line and 88.17 Pa in the muffler. Noise testing is carried out on the exhaust system and has met the standards of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia with the highest test result of 75.2 dB with a standard of 83 dB.
