Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam rangka meningkatkan soft skill kewirausahaan siswa MA PK Wachid Hasyim Surabaya, sebuah program pelatihan kewirausahaan diadakan dengan melibatkan 83 siswa dan didampingi oleh 8 guru. Program ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia bisnis yang semakin kompleks. Melalui program ini, diharapkan siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kewirausahaan yang meliputi integritas, komunikasi, kesopanan, tanggung jawab, keterampilan sosial, sikap positif, profesionalisme, fleksibilitas, kerja tim, dan etos kerja. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa, dengan persentase peningkatan skill mencapai 40%. Kegiatan ini melibatkan serangkaian tahap, dimulai dari pra kegiatan yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan pelatihan, hingga implementasi penggunaan platform blog. Selama kegiatan inti, siswa didampingi untuk memahami konsep desain dan penulisan blog, menguasai teknis penggunaan platform, serta mengembangkan kemampuan kreatif dalam merancang tata letak dan menghasilkan konten yang informatif. Selanjutnya, monitoring dan evaluasi dilakukan secara berkala untuk mengukur dampak program, yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam literasi digital dan kreativitas siswa.Abstract: In order to enhance the entrepreneurial soft skills of MA PK Wachid Hasyim Surabaya students, an entrepreneurship training program was conducted involving 83 students and accompanied by 8 teachers. This program aims to prepare students to face the demands of an increasingly complex business world. Through this program, it is expected that students can develop entrepreneurial skills including integrity, communication, etiquette, responsibility, social skills, positive attitude, professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and work ethic. Evaluation results show a significant improvement in students' entrepreneurial skills, with a 40% increase in skill levels. The activities involve a series of stages, starting from pre-activities which include needs analysis, training planning, to the implementation of blog platform usage. During the core activities, students are assisted in understanding the concepts of blog design and writing, mastering the technical use of the platform, and developing creative skills in designing layouts and producing informative content. Furthermore, monitoring and evaluation are conducted periodically to measure the program's impact, showing a significant improvement in students' digital literacy and creativity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Guru SMK Mahardika Malang menghadapi kendala dalam penulisan kreatif dan pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru melalui pelatihan terstruktur penulisan kreatif dan pengembangan multimedia interaktif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada April–Mei 2025 dengan mitra sebanyak 15 guru. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, workshop, praktikum, dan pendampingan intensif terkait teknik penulisan kreatif serta penggunaan perangkat lunak sederhana untuk media pembelajaran interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test serta penilaian terhadap produk pembelajaran yang dihasilkan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi yang terukur, di mana 80% peserta mampu menghasilkan bahan ajar kreatif dan 73% mampu mengembangkan multimedia interaktif yang relevan. Keterampilan hard skill guru di bidang teknologi pendidikan meningkat sebesar 65%, sehingga berdampak positif pada kesiapan dan kreativitas guru dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran inovatif.Abstract: Teachers at SMK Mahardika Malang experience difficulties in creative writing and the use of interactive multimedia for learning. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ professional competence through structured training in creative writing and interactive multimedia development. The program was conducted from April to May 2025 and involved 15 teachers as partners. The methods included socialization, workshops, hands-on practice, and intensive mentoring on creative writing techniques and the use of simple software for developing interactive learning media. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests, post-tests, and assessment of participants’ learning products. The results demonstrated measurable improvements: 80% of participants successfully produced creative teaching materials, and 73% were able to develop relevant interactive multimedia. Teachers’ hard skills in educational technology increased by 65%, contributing positively to their readiness and creativity in delivering engaging and innovative instruction.

Abstract

This study addresses a gap in ethnomathematics research by examining a pesantren cultural practice that has rarely been explored as a source of mathematical ideas. Previous ethnomathematics studies have mainly focused on traditional games, crafts, architecture, and visual motifs, while everyday communal practices in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) remain underexamined. This study explores the ro’an tradition, a communal cleaning practice in an Islamic boarding school, to identify the mathematical reasoning embedded in its cultural routines and to consider its implications for mathematics education. Using an ethnographic design supported by observation, interviews, and documentation, the study analyzed six main aspects of ro’an: group formation, task assignment, workflow sequencing, scheduling, quantitative considerations, and rotational mechanisms. Data were interpreted through an ethnomathematics perspective and formalized carefully through ethnomodeling. The findings show that ro’an embodies various mathematical ideas, including set partitions, relations and functions, algorithms, proportional reasoning, spatial structuring, recurrence, and cyclic scheduling. These findings indicate that mathematical reasoning emerges naturally within pesantren cultural practices even without formal mathematical language. The study contributes to ethnomathematics by expanding its scope to religious-community practices and offers pedagogical implications for designing culturally responsive mathematics learning in pesantren and madrasah contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on students’ mathematics achievement. The study is motivated by the need for instructional approaches that connect mathematical concepts to real-life contexts in order to enhance students’ understanding and engagement. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group. The participants consisted of two classes: an experimental group taught using CTL and a control group taught using conventional instruction, with 30 students in each group. The research instrument was a mathematics achievement test scored on a 0–100 scale, administered as both a pretest and a posttest. Data were analyzed using prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) followed by an independent-samples t-test at a 0.05 significance level. The results indicate a statistically significant difference in posttest mathematics achievement between students who learned through CTL and those who received conventional instruction. These findings suggest that CTL is more effective in supporting students’ conceptual understanding and their ability to apply mathematical ideas through meaningful, context-based learning activities. Therefore, CTL is recommended as an alternative instructional model to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes.
