Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thinking in managing educational institutions at the Sekolah Taman Budaya Jambi. Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts on education have become the image of the history of education in Indonesia. The concept of education features the uniqueness of Indonesian culture and emphasizes the importance of processing potentials students in an integrated manner. In the management of educational institutions, the Sekolah Taman Budaya, which adopts the management of the Perguruan Taman Siswa, of course refers to the effort to refer to the Panca Dharma Pendidikan Taman Siswa and Pratap Triloka and synergizes with parents and the community through the Tri Pusat Pendidikan. This study limits the problem to the management of educational institutions that apply one of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts, namely Panca Dharma Pendidikan Taman Siswa. The research subject is the manager of the Sekolah Taman Budaya School. The object of the research is the application of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thinking in the management of the Sekolah Taman Budaya. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that the thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara which are expressed in the three educational philosophies and Panca Dharma are well implemented by the Sekolah Taman Budaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how leaders make decisions in creating a working climate and pay attention to teachers and staff in creating a working climate at SMPN 22 Kota Jambi, as well as the leadership's obstacles. This research is based on the fact that the principal has not fully paid attention to the performance of teachers and staff so that he has not achieved a successful conducive working climate. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach to the type of case study research. The research subjects were the principal, vice-principal, teacher, head of administration, and administrative staff. The technique used in this research was purposive sampling by determining specific characteristics in accordance with the research objectives. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the principal took the right steps in making decisions and paid attention to teachers and staff in improving the work climate.

Abstract

Reading activities are activities to obtain knowledge or information that should be done for the scientific and educational community. This study aims to determine the extent of student interest in reading by utilizing sophisticated smartphones and aims to further enhance learning achievement. The type of research conducted is descriptive quantitative. The design used is regression between variables. There are two batches used as samples, namely class of 2015 and 2016. The sampling technique is done by random sampling, namely 2015 and 2016. The research instrument used is the distribution of questionnaires and interview documentation given to students of 2015 and 2016. Based on the results of calculations on the model summary obtained by R square is 0.148 or 14.8%, this shows that there is a joint effect between smartphone variables and reading interest on academic achievement of 14.8%, while the rest (100% - 14.8% = 85 , 2%) is influenced by other causes. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of smartphones and reading interest on student achievement in the Educational Administration study program at Jambi University.

Abstract

The principal as a leader must be able to increase empowerment and guidance for teachers through improving human resource management. Therefore the principal has the obligation and responsibility to develop teacher competence. This study aims to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the principal's leadership in building up teacher social competence. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci using descriptive qualitative research methods with  case study research. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data presentation analysis technique started from the collection of all data from observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Then it was followed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusions drawn. While the data validity test used data triangulation. The results of this study indicated that: 1) Guidance in communication and socializing effectively in SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci was good enough with the implementation of picket sympathy for all school elements. 2) The development of school and community relationship management and taking an active role in the community was good enough with the implementation of synergy-building guidance for teachers at SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci. 3) Guidance in preparing teachers as agents of social change was good enough with the existence of MGMP guidance for all school elements in SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor in developing teacher competence in SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci was the lack of initiative of the principal and teacher awareness in providing guidance to improve social competence for teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa evaluasi pelaksanaan program ekstrakurikuler di SDIT Daarul Hasanah dikaji berdasarkan Standar Pendidikan Nasional yang meliputi proses, isi, pengelolaan, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sarana dan prasarana, pembiayaan dan penilaian. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran dari metode kualitatif dan metode kuantitatif sedangkan model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi ketimpangan. Metode kualitatif yang dilakukan meliputi observasi dokumen-dokumenyang berkaitan dengan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler , wawancara pihak-pihak terkait dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan kepada pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yaitu Kepala Sekolah SDIT Daarul Hasanah, Koordinator Bidang Kurikulum dan Sumber Daya Manusia, para Penanggung Jawab masing-masing jenis kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan Ketua Komite Sekolah SDIT Daarul Hasanah. Metode kuantitaif yang digunakan berupa pemberian kuisioner kepada guru-guru pengajar/pembina ekstrakurikuler dan peserta didik yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dalam dua tahapan. Tahapan pertama, kajian pustaka dengan mengkaji berbagai teori mengenai evaluasi, implementasi program, organisasi dan pengorganisasian serta mengenai kegiatan Kepramukaan itu sendiri. Pada tahapan kedua, mengumpulkan data sesuai dengan metode-metode yang telah ditetapkan untuk dspat memperoleh suatu pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap obyek penelitian yang diamati. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara: (1) observasi, (2) pengamatan terlibat, (3) wawancara dengan pedoman dan (4) kajian dokumen. Metode pengamatan digunakan untuk mengamati kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler di SDIT Daarul Hasanah serta bagaiaman jajaran pengajar/pembina Ekstrakurikuler mengembangkan diri untuk menhasilkan kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler yang berkualitas. Pengamatan terlibat dilakukan dengan mengamati bagaiaman pengorganisasian Ekstrakurikuler SDIT Daarul Hasanah dalam melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukannya. Data kuantitatif yang dihimpun melalui kurisioner yang diberikan kepada guru pengajar/pembina ekstrakurikuler dan peserta didik. Jenis kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang diselenggarakan di SDIT Daarul Hasanah terdiri dari 5 jenis kegiatan yaitu Pramuka sebagai ekstrakurikuler wajib, Tartill Qur’an sebagai ekstrakurikuler bidang agama, Art & Painting Club sebagai ekstrakurikuler bidang kesenian, Nurul Fikri English Club sebagai ekstrakurikuler bidang minat bahasa dan Pencak Silat/Taekwondo sebagai ekstrakurikuler bidang olahraga. Abstract

Masa pandemi COVID-19 yang telah menjadi wabah di Dunia dan Indonesia mengabikatkan proses pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara Daring. Didukung oleh teknologi internet, hampir segalanya menjadi mungkin dalam dunia pendidikan. Saat ini peserta didik dapat belajar tidak hanya dimana saja tetapi sekaligus kapan saja dengan fasilitas sistem electronic learning yang ada. E-learning kini semakin dikenal sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah pendidikan dan pelatihan. Banyak orang menggunakan istilah yang berbeda-beda untuk E-learning namun pada prinsipnya E-learning adalah pembelajaran yang menggunakan jasa elektronik sebagai alat bantunya. Perkembangan pendidikan saat ini dipengaruhi oleh pesatnya kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Media daring yang digunakan subjek pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ada bermacam-macam yaitu: WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Website dan lain-lain. Tujuan dari Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektifitas dalam pembelajaran daring, memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang pembelajaran jarak jauh, tetap memaksimalkan pembelajaran meski pembelajaran tatap muka belum di perkenankan dikarenakan adanya wabah COVID-19, dan mengetahui peranan internet sebagai sarana pendidikan dalam upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Google Classroom adalah suatu platform pembelajaran campuran yang dapat digunakan pada setiap ruang lingkup pendidikan yang dimaksudkan untuk memberikan bantuan pada masalah dan kesulitan dalam membuat, membagikan dan menggolongkan setiap penugasan tanpa kertas. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini secara umum adalah guru-guru dapat memahami pentingnnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembelajaran E-learning.

Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLASSROOM CLIMATE AND LEARNING MOTIVATION WITH STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMESThis study aims to look at the relationship between classroom climate and learning motivation with student learning outcomes in Class XI Office Administration at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. This study uses quantitative methods with ex post facto design. The population used in this study were students of Class XI Office Administration at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The study population was 122 students and the sample chosen was 67 students based on intrapolation calculations and then the distribution of samples using Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire and secondary data in the form of data on the average value of student tests. Data analysis techniques used in this study are simple correlation analysis and multiple correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) There was a relationship between classroom climate and student learning outcomes of 0.595 with a percentage of 59.5% and a significance value of 0.000 so that rcount rtable or 0.595 0.201 could be said to be significant. Because r count r table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. (2) There is a relationship of learning motivation with student learning outcomes of 0.744 with a percentage of 74.4% and a significance value of 0.000 so that rcount rtable or 0.744 0.201 can be said to be significant. Because r count r table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted; and (3) There is a relationship between classroom climate and learning motivation with student learning outcomes of 0.783 with a percentage of 78.3%. It can be concluded that classroom climate and learning motivation together have a correlation with student learning outcomes. This conclusion suggests that educators can optimize classrooms and provide awareness of the importance of learning and motivate students during the learning process, by creating a conducive classroom atmosphere and providing interesting learning methods so that students do not feel bored and bored, and feel safe and comfortable and excited in learning in class so that it will have implications for maximum learning outcomes.

Abstract

The “Kampus Mengajar” is a form of implementation of the “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)” in the form of teaching assistance in helping the learning process in elementary schools in various regions, one of which is SD Tunas Abadi which is located in Jelutung District, City of Jambi. In this program, the students involved have the responsibility to assist the school in the teaching and learning process, assist in technology adaptation, and assist administration. In addition, students have a responsibility to improve literacy and numeracy skills and increase student interest in learning during the pandemic. The result of this program is to increase the real role of universities in national development, especially in the field of education.

Abstract

The existence of Public Relations in an educational institution is as a bridge or mediation between the school and the public so that each element in the school needs to design its relationship with various elements of society in order to achieve a harmonious and harmonious relationship. The relationship between schools and the public, through Public Relations activities, can be interpreted as a means of communication that provides information about schools to the community. Good communication can be felt not only by parents of students, but also the outside community so that it can influence the public to make it a favorite school. Implementing a good Public Relations strategy is one of the important elements to achieve this success. Taking into account the things above, the Public Relations Training for School Managers is very important to provide understanding and improve the skills of school managers, be it principals, vice principals, public relations departments and also teachers, in the field of Public Relations. so that it can help schools in building a positive image to the community. The end result of this service is that schools can design Public Relations activities so that they can be useful for policy makers in schools to build a positive image of the school and improve the quality of education.
