Abstract

Level crossings are recognized as high-risk locations for traffic accidents and therefore require focused attention, particularly in the context of early preventive measures. This community service program aimed to enhance public awareness of compliance with traffic regulations at level crossings and to improve road users’ vigilance as a preventive effort to reduce accident risk at the JPL 210 level crossing in Bojonegoro. The program was implemented through a safety awareness campaign involving the distribution of visual educational materials in the form of leaflets and the installation of safety message banners in the vicinity of the crossing. The results indicate that the safety campaign utilizing leaflets and banners was effective in attracting the attention of road users. Road users demonstrated positive responses, as evidenced by their willingness to receive and read the leaflets, as well as increased caution when approaching and crossing the railway line. Based on observational data from 30 road users collected before and after the implementation of the safety campaign at the JPL 210 level crossing, a significant improvement in compliance levels was observed. The average compliance rate increased from 55.71% prior to the safety campaign to 76.18% following its implementation. The most notable improvements were observed in indicators related to speed reduction and the practice of looking both left and right before crossing

Abstract

Duri Station is a transit station for KRL passengers Commuter Line Tangerang-Duri PP, KRL relations Commuter Line loop line Cikarang, and Commuter Line Soekarno-Hatta Airport with an average passenger capacity of ±10,000 passengers/day. Overcrowding often occurs and causes the movement of passengers and people with disabilities to become hampered. This research aims to evaluate the suitability of special facilities for the disabled and visually impaired at Duri Station, rank proposals for improvements and development of special facilities for the disabled and visually impaired at Duri Station, and provide recommendations to Duri Station regarding special facilities for the disabled and visually impaired that need immediate improvement and development. This research uses the method purposive sampling to select respondents based on specific criteria used as samples in this research. Data processing is carried out using the method PROMETHEE to assess and rank the facilities that need immediate repair and improvement at Duri Station. The research results show that several facilities at Duri Station, such as platforms, waiting rooms, disabled toilets, prayer rooms, lifts, ramps, guideways/guiding block, and the disability counter does not comply with the provisions stated in PM No. 63 of 2019 and PUPR Ministerial Decree no. 14/PRT/M 2017. Ranking using method PROMETHEE resulting in a priority ranking for improving facilities for the disabled according to users, namely increasing sufficient free space in disabled toilets for wheelchair users to maneuver 180° and to open and close doors with a value net flow of -0.396. The main priority for the blind that needs to be improved and improved is the availability of priority seats in the Duri Station waiting room with mark net flow of -0.663.

Abstract

Pengembangan serat alami telah dilakukan secara luas karena serat alami memiliki banyak keunggulan dibandingkan serat sintetis, seperti massa yang lebih ringan, mudah diperoleh, relatif murah, ramah lingkungan, dan melimpah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik serat alami dari pelepah salak yang meliputi komposisi unsur dan lignoselulosanya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pendahuluan sebagai tahap awal sehingga diharapkan serat salak dapat digunakan sebagai penguat komposit. Metode pengujian yang digunakan adalah XRF dan Cheson-Datta. Salak dapat dimanfaatkan biji, kulit, dan pelepahnya. Material komposit dengan penguat serat alami, termasuk pelepah salak, dapat diaplikasikan pada komponen bangunan, suku cadang otomotif, dan kerajinan tangan. Serat disintesis dari pelepah salak dan kemudian diolah dengan larutan alkali NaOH 5% untuk menghilangkan kandungan ligninnya. Pengaruh perlakuan alkali pada serat pelepah salak adalah serat memiliki warna yang lebih gelap, bentuk yang lebih teratur, dan diameter yang lebih kecil dibandingkan serat tanpa proses perendaman. Komposisi serat batang salak setelah pengujian dengan XRF (X Ray Fluorescence) mengandung 53,9% CaO, 15,2% MnO, 15% SiO2, dan senyawa lain dalam persentase kecil. Hasil perhitungan lignoselulosa menggunakan metode Chesson-Datta pada serat batang salak menunjukkan bahwa kandungan selulosa adalah 54,89%, kandungan hemiselulosa adalah 15,53% dan kandungan lignin adalah 12,10%. Dengan kandungan selulosa ini, maka serat pelepah salak dari kabupaten Bojonegoro berpeluang untuk menjadi serat penguat komposit dengan sifat mekanis yang baik.
