Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of prior knowledge and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP IT Al Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa. Carried out in May-June 2024 with a population of 126 students, the research used a total sampling method. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, normality, correlation, regression and hypothesis tests. The research results showed that all measurement instruments for initial knowledge and learning motivation were declared valid and reliable. The normality test shows that the data is normally distributed. The correlation test revealed a significant relationship between prior knowledge (r = 0.601) and learning motivation (r = 0.486) on learning outcomes. Multiple linear regression analysis produces the equation Y = 32.638 + 0.393X1 + 0.259X2, which shows that both prior knowledge and learning motivation have a significant positive influence on student learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing shows that the t-values ​​for prior knowledge and learning motivation are 6.017 and 3.172 respectively, with a significance of 0.000 and 0.002, both of which are smaller than 0.05. The F test shows that the simultaneous influence of the two independent variables on learning outcomes is also significant, with an F-calculated value of 42.662. These results emphasize the importance of prior knowledge and motivation in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pngabdian Masyarakat (PEMA) di desa Timbang Lawan merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan PEMA untuk memberi pengalaman dan sebagai proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa guna menggali potensi- potensi desa yang dapat dikembangkan masyarakat. Pelaksanaan dilakukan sejak tanggal 14 Agustus 2024 hingga tanggal 21 Agustus 2024. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari 3 kegiatan yaitu: kegiatan inti, kegiatan desa, dan kegiatan tambahan. Jurnal ini membahas kegiatan desa dan kegiatan tambahan. Metode pelaksanaan berupa survey. Kegiatan tambahan mahasiswa PEMA mendapat dukungan dari Kepala Desa setempat dan masyarakat desa Timbang Lawan dengan melibatkan masyarakat dari berbagai golongan. Kepala Desa beserta aparatnya melibatkan mahasiswa PEMA dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan-kegiatan desa seperti, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, gotong royong, penyuluhan kepada masyarakat, revitalisasi sarana dan prasarana umum desa. Bentuk kegiatan lainnya yang melibatkan kaum remaja muda dan anak- anak sekolah setingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama seperti bergiat di Taman Pengajian untuk mendampingi dan mengajar mengaji, senam sehat dilakukan di lingkungan masyarakat, menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dengan kerja bakti, dan penataan kembali batas-batas dusun. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat desa Timbang Lawan khususnya yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan ketentraman, dan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat desa Timbang Lawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu pengaruh motivasi belajar dan lingkungan belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IX Di SMP Budi Satria Medan Pendekatan yang digunakan alam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, karena data yang diperoleh akari diwujudkan dalam bentuk angka dan dianalisis berdasarkan statistic Penelitian ini bersifat asosiatif kasual yanng bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dua variabel bebas atau lebih terhadap variabel terkait, Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di Smp Swasta Budisatrya yang beralamat di Jl. Letda Sujono No. 166, Bandar Selamat, Kec. Medan Tembung, Kota Medan Prov. Sumatrea Utara, populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 63 orang yang diambil dari 2 kelas yakni IX-1 dan IX-2, Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling jenuh, dimana semua populasi yang berjumlah 63 orang di jadikan sampel, Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regressi linier berganda, adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah  Dalam ini Motivasi Belajar bepengaruh signifikan terhadap Hasil Belajar sebab nilai t hitung > t tabel (2.148>2.000) dan taraf signifikan 0.036 < 0.05. Dalam penelitian ini Lingkungan Belajar bepengaruh signifikan terhadap Hasil Belajar sebab nilai t hitung > t tabel (2.139>2.000) dan taraf signifikan 0.029 < 0.05. Dalam penelitian ini secara simultan Lingkungan Belajar, Motivasi Belajar  berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Hasil Belajar sebab nilai f hitung > f tabel 12.330 > 3.15) dan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0.006 < 0.05

Abstract

This study aims to enhance student participation in learning. The research was conducted from May 2024 to June 2024 at MTsN 1 Medan. This study employs a quantitative method with an experimental approach. This approach allows for testing the effect of independent variables on dependent variables. The subjects of the study were students from class VII4 and VII5 at MTsN 1 Medan. The testing involved 36 students from VII4 and 36 students from VII5 at MTsN 1 Medan. The research conducted shows that there is a difference after implementing the True or False type active learning strategy, combined with artificial intelligence (AI) and learning motivation for the students. Pre-test and post-test were administered, followed by normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The normality test shows a Kolmogorov-Smirnov sig value > 0.05, indicating that the data is normally distributed. The homogeneity test shows a sig value Based on Mean of 0.06 > 0.05, indicating homogeneity. The t-test results show that the data for the experimental class pretest and posttest, as well as for the control class pretest and posttest, yield significant values <0.001, which are less than 0.005.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the implementation of organizational communication at Madrasah Aliyah Plus Taruna Teknik Al Jabbar Medan and its impact on improving teacher performance. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with the main informants being the head of the madrasah and the teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, using triangulation techniques to ensure validity by comparing data collection methods. The results show that the head of the madrasah employs various communication strategies, including personal approaches, regular meetings, the use of digital media, and awarding high-performing teachers. However, obstacles such as differing perceptions, language limitations, and suboptimal use of communication media were identified. In conclusion, effective communication has been shown to improve teacher performance, and communication barriers can be addressed with structured strategies and appropriate media utilization.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of using problem solving models and hots-based evaluation questions made by teachers on the learning outcomes of Al-Hijrah IT Middle School students. The type of research used is quantitative experiment using a quasi-experimental method. The population in this research is all grade students. IPS Vlll at Al-Hijrah IT Middle School for the 2024/2025 academic year. Namely 60 students consisting of social studies classes Vlll-1, Vlll-2, Vlll-3, the sampling technique used in this research is saturated sampling where the entire population is sampled, the data analysis technique used in this research is the multiple regression model , the results of this research are that in this research the use of problem solving methods has a significant influence on learning outcomes because the calculated t value t table (2.838 2.010) and the significance level is 0.007 0.05. In this research, teacher-made hot-based evaluation questions have a significant influence on learning outcomes because the calculated t value is t table (5.689 2.010) and the significance level is 0.000 0.05. In this study, the calculated f value was 74.111 and the significance level was 0.000. This shows that simultaneously the teacher-made hot-based evaluation questions and the use of problem solving methods had a significant effect on Critical Thinking Ability because the calculated f value f table (74.111 3.19) and significance level of 0.000 0.05

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of cumulative achievement index and interest on career path among Tadris IPS FITK UINSU students. This research uses a quantitative approach with the es-post facto method, because the data obtained will be expressed in the form of numbers and analyzed based on statistics. This research looks for the independent influence variables of cumulative achievement index (X1) and interest in continuing higher education (X2) and career path (Y). This research was conducted at the Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, on Tadris IPS students. The population in this research is 2018 and 2019, including 200 students. The sample collection technique used in this research used a purposive sampling technique, so the sample used in this study was 67 people. Data analysis in this research was carried out quantitatively through 3 stages, namely descriptive analysis, swimmer test analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the research show that the cumulative achievement index and interests have a positive effect on the career path of Tadris IPS FITK students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan as shown by the results of the f test with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the Cumulative Achievement Index variable, interests simultaneously (together) influence the career path of Tadris IPS FITK students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMP Swasta Namira Medan dari perspektif sosiologi pendidikan. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan faktor penting dalam pengembangan kualitas pendidikan, khususnya dalam mempengaruhi kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah di SMP Swasta Namira Medan bersifat model demoktratis. Kepala sekolah mendorong kolaborasi antar guru, memberikan dukungan moral dan profesional, serta menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif. Dari perspektif sosiologi pendidikan, kepemimpinan ini berhasil meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui penguatan interaksi sosial yang positif, peningkatan motivasi, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektif tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek administratif, tetapi juga pada upaya memperkuat hubungan sosial dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis guru, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja guru dan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah.

Abstract

This study examines whether Quizizz-based learning enhances students’ motivation in social studies, addressing the limited integration of gamified tools in Indonesian classrooms. Employing a quantitative experimental method with a post-test-only control group design, the research involved two randomly selected seventh-grade classes at SMP 1 Southeast Aceh. One class served as the experimental group using Quizizz-based learning, while the other functioned as the control group with conventional teaching methods. The sample consisted of 39 students—19 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group. Data were collected through post-test assessments measuring students' interest and engagement in learning. The results indicate a significant difference in learning engagement between the two groups. The experimental group achieved an average score of 90.78, while the control group averaged 61.05. An independent sample t-test yielded a t-value of 5.3693, exceeding the critical value of 1.684 at the 5% significance level (p < 0.05), confirming a statistically significant effect. These findings suggest that Quizizz-based learning positively influences student engagement in social studies. This study underscores integrating interactive digital tools to create a more engaging learning environment. It is recommended that educators incorporate platforms like Quizizz to foster active participation and enhance learning experiences. Future research should explore long-term impacts across diverse subjects and educational settings to broaden the applicability of gamified learning strategies in Indonesian education.

Abstract

This study examines the evolving role of the Bines Dance in the matchmaking traditions of the Gayo community in Southeast Aceh. Initially performed as an interlude to the Saman Dance, the Bines Dance has developed into a meaningful cultural practice, particularly within the bejamu Saman tradition, where it serves as a subtle platform for courtship between local female dancers (seberu) and male visitors (tetamu). Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach, this research explores the lived experiences of individuals involved in or affected by the dance. Data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, involving 15 informants: cultural leaders, dancers, matchmaking facilitators, and community members. Findings reveal that the Bines Dance acts as a poetic form of indirect communication. Female dancers express romantic interest through structured rhymes and metaphorical verses, initiating a symbolic exchange known as najuk. This tradition allows emotional expression while adhering to customary norms. The offering of a money ring (cincin uang) by the male guest’s family to the dancer marks a shift toward serious intent, often culminating in arranged meetings and marriage. The study concludes that the Bines Dance functions not only as entertainment but also as a living cultural mechanism for relationship-building and social cohesion. It reflects the community’s values while adapting to modern contexts, highlighting the importance of preserving traditional art as a dynamic force within Gayo society.
