Abstract

Masyarakat dapat mengetahui keamanan dan mutu obat, serta kesesuaiannya dengan keluhan yang diderita, dengan cara mencermati dengan baik informasi obat sebelum digunakan. Cek KLIK merupakan Slogan yang dicetuskan oleh BPOM yang merupakan singkatan dari Cek Kemasan, Label, Izin Edar, Kadaluarsa, dari obat maupun olahan pangan yang akan dikonsumsi. Namun sebagian masyarakat belum mengetahui dengan baik langkah-langkah Cek KLIK maupun pentingnya melakukan hal ini demi menjamin penggunaan obat dengan tepat dan aman. Pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan konsumsi sediaan farmasi khususnya suplemen kesehatan demi menjaga imunitas dalam menghadapi pandemi. New Normal adalah kebijakan membuka kembali aktifitas ekonomi sosial dan kegiatan publik secara terbatas dengan menggunakan standar kesehatan yang sebelumnya tidak ada sebelum pandemi. New normal diberlakukan di Indonesia sejak awal Juni 2020. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penggunaan obat yang aman, cermat, dan bermutu di masa new normal pandemi COVID-19, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa sosialisasi Cek KLIK sediaan obat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kandungan metabolit sekunder tanaman yang berkhasiat obat sebagai acuan pemanfaatan untuk membuat sebuah produk, Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L), merupakan salah satu tanaman daerah tropis yang belum banyak di gali dan di manfaatkan secara ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini  mengetahui metabolit sekunder, uji mutu fisik sediaan effervescent dan uji antioksidan ekstrak buah buah Dewandaru. Metode penelitian eksperimenal ini menujukkan bahwa hasil metabolit sekunder ekstrak n- butanol buah Dewandaru menunjukkan adanya senyawa alkaloid, tannin, flavonoid, dan saponin, hasil uji mutu fisik sdiaan effervescent menunjukkan mutu fisik yang baik di semua jenis pengujian, Pada pengujian pH, sediaan memiliki pH 6. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa sediaan granul effervescent memiliki mutu fisik yang baik, uji antioksidan formula effervescent mendapatkan hasil 21,196 ppm.  Termasuk antiosidan yang sangat kuat. Kata Kunci: Antioksidan, Efervescent, Mutu Fisik, Skrining  ABSTRACT The content of secondary metabolites of plants that have medicinal properties as a reference for use to make a product, Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L), is one of the tropical plants that has not been widely explored and used scientifically. The purpose of this study was to determine secondary metabolites, test the physical quality of effervescent preparations and test the antioxidants of Dewandaru fruit extracts. This experimental research method showed that the results of secondary metabolites of the n-butanol extract of Dewandaru fruit showed the presence of alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, and saponins, the results of the physical quality test of effervescent preparations showed good physical quality in all types of tests. 5. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the effervescent granule preparation has good physical quality, the antioxidant test of the effervescent formula obtained 21.196 ppm results. Abstract

The prolonged Covid-19 pandemic has caused a decrease in income and an increase in expenditure to maintain body immunity and implement health protocols. One of the affected community groups is students of SMK Farmasi Saraswati 3 Denpasar, so many students are in arrears of school fees. Efforts need to reduce family expenses, especially for health protocols and body immunity. One of the efforts is to provide training in making handsanitizer and mouthwash from herbs. The training aims to enable students to make handsanitizer and mouthwash as well as health drinks that can be used by themselves and their families. Thus students can reduce the burden on the family, especially spending on implementing health protocols. The training lasted for two days, taking place at SMK Farmasi Saraswati 3 Denpasar and was attended by 22 participants. The training was carried out in two stages, explanations and discussions regarding handsanitizers and mouthwashes which were held on May 24 2022, followed by practice on making preparations on May 28 2022. Before and after the training, tests were carried out to determine the participants' level of knowledge regarding handsanitizers and mouthwashes. The test results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 68.9 to 97.3. It can be concluded that the provision of training is able to increase the knowledge of participants. Further training is needed regarding the business aspects of the product so as to increase family income.

Abstract

Pharmacies are the main source of getting antibiotics. Access to antibiotics without a prescription at pharmacies is common in many countries, including Indonesia. The sale of antibiotics without a prescription in pharmacies has become a global problem, especially in developing countries. However, the dominant factor that causes the behavior of selling antibiotics without a prescription in Indonesian pharmacies is not known with certainty. The purpose of this article is to find out the dominant factors that influence the behavior of selling and using antibiotics without a doctor's prescription in pharmacies. The method used is by conducting library searches on search sites such as Google Schler with the keywords "antibiotics without a prescription, patient behavior, pharmacists, pharmacies". Where the results are factors that influence sales behavior and use of antibiotics without a doctor's prescription, namely the ease of access to antibiotics and cost savings factors, patient attitudes and recommendations from friends/relatives.

Abstract

Corona virus or COVID 19 is a virus that causes disease in animals or humans. COVID-19 more often attacks the respiratory tract. Improving the immunity of COVID-19 patients is very much needed because the treatment for COVID-19 has not been found. Vitamin C is a vitamin that can prevent and treat respiratory infections by enhancing various immune cell functions. Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant and helps replace damaged cells so it can help with COVID-19. This literature study aims to determine the use of vitamin C as an immunomodulator in adult COVID-19 patients. The data collection method was obtained by reviewing 10 journals using Google Scholar and Pubmed using English-language journals. The keywords used are vitamin C, COVID-19, treatment. The results obtained in the form of intravenous vitamin C with a dose of can improve the lives of COVID-19 patients by increasing the immunity of infected patients. This can be seen from the inhibition of the development of cytokines and an increase in lymphocytes and CD4+ T cells. In addition, it improves the patient's respiratory function with an increase in PiO2/FiO2.

Abstract

Sunscreens on the market are generally made of synthetic materials. However, many synthetic active substances can cause allergies and irritation. Along with the trend back to nature, the use of traditional medicine among the public is more in demand. Natural ingredients that have potential for sunscreen are basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum var. anisatum Benth). Cream preparations have the advantage of a fairly high aesthetic value and the level of comfort in use is quite good. This study aims to determine the sunscreen potency of the extract and cream of the ethanolic extract of basil leaves in vitro based on the values of %Te, %Tp and SPF. Determination of sunscreen potency was carried out by calculating %Te, %Tp and SPF values on ethanol extract of basil leaves and cream of ethanolic extract of basil leaves in vitro using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 290-400 nm every 5 nm interval. The %Te value of basil leaf ethanol extract at a concentration of 100 ppm was not included in the category, at a concentration of 200 ppm and 300 ppm it was in the category of extra protection. And the value of %Te cream of basil leaf ethanol extract at a concentration of 100 ppm is not included in the category, at a concentration of 200 ppm it is in the regular suntan category, at a concentration of 300 ppm it is in the extra protection category. The %Tp value of ethanol extract of basil leaves and cream of ethanolic extract of basil leaves was included in the total block category. The SPF value of the ethanolic extract of basil leaves at concentrations of 100 ppm, 200 ppm and 300 ppm, respectively, is 3.873 (minimum); 12,163(maximum); and 40,736(ultra). While the SPF value of the cream of ethanol extract of basil leaves was 2.792 (minimum); 6,508(extra); and 12,259 (maximum).

Abstract

Buah jeruk purut mengandung senyawa flavonoid, ?-pinene dan ?-pinene. Senyawa tersebut dapat sebagai tabir surya karena memiliki aktivitas penyerapan sinar UV. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai SPF minyak atsiri dan sediaan krim minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut dan perbedaan nilai SPFnya. Proses ekstraksi buah jeruk purut dilakukan dengan metode destilasi uap air selama 6-7 jam. Ujj kandungan flavonoid minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut dilakukan dengan meneteskan reagen H2SO4, kemudian dilakukan pembuatan sediaan krim dari minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut. Penentuan nilai SPF dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan instrumen spektrofotometri UV pada panjang gelombang 290-320 nm. Hasil rata-rata nilai SPF minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut yaitu 6.37 termasuk kategori ekstra. Pada basis krim memiliki rata-rata nilai SPF yaitu 5.36 yang menunjukkan bahwa bahan tambahan pada formula krim mempunyai potensi sebagai tabir surya dalam kategori sedang. Krim minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut F1 memiliki rata-rata nilai SPF yaitu 8.72 yang termasuk kategori maksimal. Peningkatan nilai SPF pada formula 1 terjadi karena penambahan minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut dan bahan tambahannya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini minyak atsiri dan krim minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut memiliki potensi sebagai tabir surya dilihat dari nilai SPFnya dan terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara nilai SPF minyak atsiri dan sediaan krim minyak atsiri buah jeruk purut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiinflamasi gel ekstrak etanol biji jenitri (Elaeocarpus serratus L.) pada mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus L.) yang diinduksi karagenan serta untuk mengetahui dosis optimal gel ekstrak etanol biji jenitri dalam menghambat inflamasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Paw Udema. Penelitian ini menggunakan 24 ekor mencit putih jantan yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok 1 diberikan gel tanpa ekstrak, kelompok 2 diberikan natrium diklofenak gel, kelompok 3 dan 4 diberikan gel dengan konsentrasi ekstrak biji jenitri 14mg/20gBB mencit dan 28 mg/20gBB mencit yang diberikan secara topikal. Parameter yang diukur adalah volume peradangan telapak kaki mencit dari jam ke-1 hingga jam ke-6. Hasil penelitian diuji dengan analisis statistik One Way ANOVA dan LSD (Least Significant Difference). Hasil analisis yang didapatkan adalah terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara kelompok kontrol negatif terhadap kelompok kontrol positif dan kelompok perlakuan dan tidak ada perbedaan bermakna antara kelompok kontrol positif dengan kelompok perlakuan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa gel ekstrak etanol biji jenitri (Elaeocarpus serratus L.) dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 14 mg/20gBB mencit dan 28 mg/20gBB mencit memiliki aktivitas sebagai antiinflamasi pada mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus L.) yang diinduksi karagenan dan gel ekstrak etanol biji jenitri dengan konsentrasi 28 mg/20gBB mencit memiliki efek sebagai antiinflamasi paling optimal.

Abstract

The skin often exposed to sunlight and pollution requires treatment with products that protect it from UV radiation and free radicals. Avocado seeds are known to have the potential as a sunscreen and have good antioxidant activity. This study aims to prove the antioxidant and sunscreen activity of acetone avocado seed extract, produce a cream formula that functions as a sunscreen and antioxidant for the skin, and determine the correlation of extract concentration with the activity of avocado seed acetone extract sunscreen cream. Testing of sunscreen and antioxidant activity was carried out in vitro. The results showed that the SPF and IC50 values of the extract were 39.636 and 10.36 ppm, respectively. The SPF value of F1, F2, and F3 creams were 1.859 ± 0.152, 2.941 ± 0.065, and 3.629 ± 0.053, respectively. The SPF value of the three creams was significantly different (p<0.05), and there was a significant (p<0.001) and strong correlation between the concentration of the extract and the SPF value. The IC50 values of formula F1, F2, and F3 were 9.74 ppm, 7.02 ppm, and 6.86 ppm, respectively. Based on these results, it can be concluded that acetone extract from avocado seeds has a high level of sunscreen activity and very strong antioxidant activity. The cream has an SPF value under the category of low protection level and very strong antioxidant activity. A significant and strong correlation exists between the extract's concentration and the cream's SPF value.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk memberdayakan warga binaan Lapas Perempuan Kelas IIA Denpasar agar memiliki keahlian sebagai bekal berwirausaha untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan ekonomi selepas masa tahanan, disamping untuk menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri. Kegiatan pelatihan ini juga merupakan upaya diseminasi hasil penelitian tim dosen kepada mitra binaan, yang dalam hal ini ditujukan kepada warga binaan Lapas Perempuan Kelas IIA Denpasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah dengan memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan keterampilan. Pengetahuan yang diberikan dalam bentuk penyuluhan manfaat farmakologi secara empiris maupun saintifik dari tanaman pisang secara umum maupun mengkhusus pada bagian batang pisang. Pengetahuan tambahan juga diberikan berupa strategi pemasaran produk sediaan herbal. Pelatihan keterampilan diberikan kepada warga binaan dalam bentuk pelatihan mengolah batang pisang menjadi produk sedian teh herbal dari proses awal berupa bahan segar, pembuatan simplisia batang pisang, pencampuran simplisia batang pisang dengan simplisia tambahan (daun mint dan daun stevia) sebagai komposisi teh, sampai dengan pengemasannya. Kegiatan ini dimonitoring dan dievaluasi dengan mengacu kepada keberhasilan warga binaan membuat produk herbal sediaan teh batang pisang, yangmana produk hasil karya warga binaan tersebut dipasarkan di lingkungan internal Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Denpasar. Kata kunci— Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, Lapas Perempuan, Teh Herbal Abstract The aim of this training activity is to empower the inmates of the Denpasar Class IIA Women's Prison to have skills to prepare for entrepreneurship to increase productivity and the economy after prison, in addition to growing self-confidence. This training activity is also an effort to disseminate the research results of the lecturer team to partners, which in this case is aimed at residents of the Class IIA Denpasar Women's Prison. The method used in implementing this activity is to provide knowledge and skills training. The knowledge provided is in the form of counseling on the empirical and scientific benefits of pharmacology of banana plants in general and specifically on the banana stem. Additional knowledge is also provided in the form of marketing strategies for herbal preparation products. Skills training is given to inmates in the form of training in processing banana stems into herbal tea products from the initial process in the form of fresh ingredients, making banana stem simplicia, mixing banana stem simplicia with additional simplicia (mint leaves and stevia leaves) as a tea composition, up to packaging. This activity is monitored and evaluated with reference to the success of the inmates in making herbal products made from banana stem tea. Keywords— Community Services, Women’s Prison, Herbal Tea
