Abstract

Indonesia is a large country with all the cultures and customs inherent in it, the diverse cultures cannot be denied that it will give birth to various views that Indonesia is a country with diverse ethnicities, races, cultures and religions. The science that studies this diversity is often referred to as the term Multicultural education. Therefore, the main problem that will be discussed is how to implement multicultural education in Islamic education practices. This article uses library research where the data sources are obtained through library data, including from journals and the internet. With data analysis using a descriptive analysis approach. The data presented in the form of qualitative literature. In its implementation, multicultural education in Islamic religious education goes through several stages, namely; 1) integration of multicultural values ​​in the curriculum, 2) application of collaborative learning, 3) Multicultural extracurricular activities 4) teacher training on Multiculturalism. Multicultural education is the right approach to answer the challenges of diversity in Indonesian society which is multiethnic, multilingual, and multireligious. In the practice of Islamic education, multicultural education plays an important role in instilling values ​​of tolerance, respecting differences, and recognizing the importance of diversity as part of the will of Allah SWT.

Abstract

Multiculturalism teaches us to appreciate diversity and recognizes that everyone has the right to be respected regardless of their cultural and religious background. Multicultural PAI learning can help students internalize universal values ​​such as tolerance, justice and unity. With an inclusive approach, PAI can become a bridge for dialogue between religions and cultures, reducing the possibility of conflict that may occur due to differences. This research analyzes the role of PAI teachers in implementing multiculturalism education, as well as the possible challenges they face. By understanding the role of multiculturalism, it is hoped that multicultural education can be implemented more effectively, producing a more tolerant and open generation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural education strategies based on local wisdom in elementary schools. This strategy aims to create a learning environment that is inclusive, tolerant and based on local cultural values. Using a qualitative approach, this research was conducted at several elementary schools in Central Java and East Nusa Tenggara. The research results show that local wisdom values ​​are integrated in the curriculum, interactive learning activities, culture-based extracurriculars, teacher training, and community involvement. This implementation has had a positive impact, despite challenges such as limited resources and ongoing support.

Abstract

Multicultural education is an approach that emphasizes the importance of recognition, appreciation, and understanding of cultural diversity in the learning process. The main goal of multicultural education is to form individuals who have high social awareness, tolerance, and the ability to coexist in diversity. This research uses a qualitative approach method with a descriptive qualitative literature study research type, which aims to describe and analyze various concepts, objectives, and application of multicultural education in learning. Data collection techniques used by collecting and analyzing books, journal articles, research reports, and other documents that discuss the topic of multicultural education. For this reason, multicultural education is more than just introducing cultural diversity to students, but also aims to instill an understanding of the importance of mutual respect and coexistence with a high sense of tolerance.

Abstract

The implementation of multicultural learning models in schools plays a crucial role in fostering tolerance among students. This model integrates the values of cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity into the curriculum and school activities, creating an inclusive and harmonious learning environment. Through methods such as cross-cultural discussions, the use of multicultural learning media, and extracurricular activities, students can understand and appreciate differences. Studies show that applying multicultural learning models not only enhances students' understanding of diversity but also shapes the tolerant character needed in society. Therefore, collaboration between teachers, students, and school authorities is essential for the successful implementation of this model.

Abstract

The multicultural education approach in Indonesia needs to start from an early age by instilling life values ​​to form an ideal national character in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. With the advent of fast and instant technology, local wisdom in Indonesian culture is starting to fade, as can be seen from the reduced attitudes of tolerance and empathy between citizens, which can trigger conflict and discrimination in society. Therefore, a multicultural approach is needed that can be applied to education in Indonesia, especially through educational institutions (schools) and the family environment as the main source of children's education. Multicultural education has an important role in developing student character. This education can improve students' social skills, including intercultural communication skills and an attitude of respect for diversity. Cultural diversity in Indonesia is both a strength and a challenge that needs to be preserved, so educators are needed who are professional and understand this diversity.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to propose the activation of Islamic creative education through inspiration from innovations in the automotive world, by emphasizing that creativity will emerge in the spirit of taking inspiration from innovations in other fields. This article is a library research that explores relevant data from books, literature, documents, journals, articles, and other information. Data is collected, selected, and grouped for discussion and analysis using content analysis in an in-depth study. Research concludes: Creative education is based on the premise that creativity must be a key element in the education system. The creativity of Islamic education can refer to moderating the mediating effect of innovation in the automotive world. Creative Islamic education is highly dependent on a conducive teacher-student relationship and is driven by the role of a creative teacher. So Islamic education teachers must continue to learn from existing innovations so that creativity continues to be honed.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Ponakawan philosophy into early childhood education curricula. The research addresses a critical gap in the literature, where traditional Javanese philosophical concepts have not been systematically examined for their pedagogical value in modern educational settings. By analyzing 36 sources of literature using a qualitative interpretive approach, this study provides a philosophical and educational perspective on how Ponakawan values can contribute to character development in young learners. The methodology involves a systematic literature review combined with a thematic analysis to synthesize key philosophical principles and their potential applications in early childhood education. The findings highlight that Ponakawan philosophy, emphasizing wisdom, humility, and social harmony, aligns with contemporary educational frameworks that promote holistic child development. However, the study also identifies challenges in adapting traditional wisdom into structured curricula. This research contributes to the field by bridging indigenous knowledge with contemporary pedagogy, offering practical insights for curriculum developers and educators. The study's implications suggest that integrating Ponakawan philosophy into PAUD curricula can enrich children's moral and social development. Future research should explore empirical applications and the effectiveness of this approach in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the values of multicultural education contained in the Semar Bodronoyo puppet story. Wayang, as one of Indonesia's cultural heritages, is often used as a medium for conveying moral and educational messages, including multicultural education. Semar, as the central figure in puppetry, represents a wise figure who symbolizes diversity and social justice. Through the analysis of Semar's character and interactions with other characters, the author identifies various values such as tolerance, cooperation, and respect for diversity. Through qualitative descriptive methods, this study analyzes the narrative and dialogue in the Semar Bodronoyo play to reveal the values of tolerance, justice, equality, and togetherness in cultural diversity. The results of the study indicate that the Semar Bodronoyo story contains important messages about respect for differences in culture, religion, and outlook on life, as well as the importance of mutual respect in a multicultural society. This research is expected to contribute to the development of multicultural education in Indonesia by using local cultural media, such as wayang, as a learning tool. The values contained in this wayang are not only relevant in the context of Javanese culture, but also provide universal lessons for modern society in facing the challenges of globalization. Thus, Wayang Semar Bodronoyo can be used as an effective educational medium to develop multicultural attitudes among the younger generation.

Abstract

Abstrak Filsafat pendidikan Islam memainkan peran krusial dalam pembentukan karakter dan identitas peserta didik melalui pengintegrasian nilai ajaran Islam ke dalam proses pendidikan. Masalah dari kajian ini adalah kurang optimalnya penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam sistem pendidikan modern, yang berdampak pada lemahnya karakter dan identitas peserta didik. Pembentukan karakter dan identitas dalam konteks pendidikan Islam menuntut ada kesetaraan antar unsur afektif, kognitif serta psikomotorik yang berbasis pada ajaran tauhid, akhlak, dan konsep manusia sebagai khalifah di bumi. Maksud dari riset ini ialah agar menganalisa secara konseptual dan praktis peran filsafat pendidikan Islam untuk menciptakan murid yang mempunyai akhlak baik serta memiliki identitas keislaman yang kuat. Metodologi riset ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif memakai analisa literatur yang mendalam. Data diperoleh melalui kajian pustaka dari literatur primer serta sekunder yang berkaitan pada filsafat pendidikan Islam, pembentukan identitas, serta identitas pada perspektif Islam. Pendekatan analisis konsep digunakan untuk menggali keterkaitan antara prinsip-prinsip filsafat pendidikan Islam dengan tujuan pendidikan yang diarahkan pada pembentukan manusia paripurna (insan kamil). Hasil riset ini memperlihatkan bahwa penerapan filsafat pendidikan Islam yang konsisten bisa jadi solusi dalam menghadapi krisis identitas dan degradasi moral pada peserta didik serta sebagai landasan yang kokoh dalam menciptakan generasi yang memiliki keseimbangan antara ilmu pengetahuan dan nilai-nilai keislaman.
