Abstract

The new normal era has had an impact on the decline of the economy and tourism in the city of Bandung. This condition has an impact on the regional income of the City of Bandung due to restrictions on foreign and domestic tourists. The decline in hotel occupancy is due to the lack of tourist visits. Hoteliers experience difficulties in maintaining their business due to the lack of discussion on this matter. Therefore, the designer's perspective can be a reference for managers and decision-makers to develop the hotel business efficiently during a pandemic. This study uses a descriptive analysis method from Hotel Urban Merdeka as a case study, which was able to survive during a pandemic. This research shows that generic strategies in hotel design are very important to attract and retain customers in the new normal era. Therefore, it is important for hotel owners to consider generic strategies, such as low cost, differentiation, and focus on certain market segments. Hotels that are responsive to changing trends and consumer preferences will be more successful in the new normal era. Factors such as hygiene, health, and safety are factors that must be considered. Different design concepts, such as eco-friendly designs or designs with artistic and cultural concepts added value to hotels and attract consumers' attention. The implication of this research is that hotel owners must consider generic strategies in their hotel designs and always be responsive to changing trends and consumer preferences. In addition, different design concepts must also be considered to provide added value to hotels and attract consumers' attention. Keywords: Tourism, repositioning, construction scenario, low cost

Abstract

One of the sectors that are progressing and are growing rapidly, especially in Indonesia today is tourism. Tourism has an important role in increasing the income of a region. In terms of employment, the tourism sector can also be a solution to reduce the unemployment problem which is currently rife in various parts of the country. In terms of cultural diversity and natural beauty, Indonesia can be one of the unique tourist destinations in this regard. This study aims to analyze the potential for developing agro-Edu tourism based on community empowerment in the Cipanas Dam area so that it has a positive impact on the economy, especially the economy of the local community. The research method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach, where the descriptive qualitative method is a research method based on the philosophy of postpositivism used to examine the condition of natural objects (as opposed to experiments) where the researcher is the key instrument of data collection techniques carried out manually triangulation (combined), data analysis is inductive/qualitative, and qualitative research results emphasize meaning rather than generalization. The results of the research from the potential of Agro-Edu Tourism in the Cipanas dam area can be developed in several location spots, including by utilizing the edge of the dam as a pedestrian tracking path along the green belt in the form of trees; the development of a camping ground that can accommodate tourists to spend the night while still being able to enjoy the atmosphere of the outdoors on the edge of the lake; mango fruit agro-tourism area; The Tower of View in the Rest Area and the planned Cipanas Terrace area downstream of the dam.

Abstract

AbstractLeuwi Panjang Terminal of Bandung City is a terminal with an A-type category in the city of Bandung. This terminal is one of the proposed Transit Oriented Development in Bandung Urban Mobile Project 2031 programs. Listed in the BUMP 2031 program, the Leuwi Panjang Terminal area will be equipped as a public transportation transit, monorail. Based on the existing criteria, the Leuwi Panjang terminal doesn’t fulfill the criteria as a Transit Oriented Development area, including inadequate facilities, the circulation systems that are not mutually integrated and the unavailability of signage makes visitors confused about their activity paths, and the stiffness of pedestrians and cyclists to move around in this area. This study discusses the architectural design recommendations of the TOD area that fill the TOD standards of the Leuwi Panjang Terminal. The method used is by conducting area studies, activity studies, and circulation studies. The study is analyzed and processed to produce a synthesis and application to the design to fulfill the TOD criteria and government regulations. Keywords: Transit-Oriented Development, Integration, Terminal, Of Bandung City.

Abstract

Hospitals as health facilities need to be supported in all aspects. The healing factors obtained from health services do not stand alone but must be supported by physical health facilities to make the healing process more comprehensive. Many rules must be applied in hospitals and many aspects must be taken into account when designing a hospital, so designers must understand how to design according to standard rules and also aspects of user needs because healing is carried out through the physical and psychological aspects of the patient to encourage a more effective healing process. With the various facilities in hospitals, the role of inpatient rooms is often not a priority compared to service-based health facilities such as the emergency room, operating room, ICU room, and hemodialysis room which are important priorities. Even though the healing process takes the longest time in the inpatient room. It is felt that the current arrangement of inpatient rooms does not support the healing process. Therefore, this paper aims to guide designing inpatient rooms that truly meet the behavioral needs of residents so that it is hoped to create an inpatient room that encourages healing (healing environment). The method applied is descriptive qualitative by studying it based on the theory of architectural behavior architectural psychology, namely a Healing Environment that is suitable for hospitals through analysis of behavior that produces a need for space elements. Observe the condition of the inpatient room and the expected behavior of the occupants. The results of the analysis of inpatient rooms will be in the form of guidelines for designing inpatient rooms comprehensively. How to choose colors, choose finishing materials, furniture, and other necessary elements. The author hopes that this article can be used by all parties who will design, renovate, or carry out further research regarding inpatient room design. For designers, hospital owners, and hospital management throughout Indonesia, so whatever hospital class, location, government-owned, private, or foundation can apply hospital room design well.keywords: inpatient room, Healing Environment, Interior Design
