Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat diperlukan oleh peserta didik. Salah satu upaya meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran efektif dan mudah, sehingga peserta didik mampu menyelesaikan persoalan tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran matematika.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah 83 peserta didik kelas IV di SD Negeri kecamatan Wonogiri. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: rerata tes dari 63.50 menjadi 89.35; nilai korelasi (R) = 0.506 artinya ada hubungan linear positif antar variabel; koefisien determinasi R Square = 0,861, artinya model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning memberikan pengaruh 86.1% terhadap efektivitas keterampilan berpikir kritis. Nilai signifikan sebesar 0.000 < 0,05 dan nilai t hitung 2,512 > t tabel 1.664, artinya menerima hipotesis alternatif. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada mata Pelajaran matematika kelas IV.

Abstract

Numerasi merupakan salah satu kemampuan paling esensial yang perlu dikembangkan pada anak usia dini sejak dari rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi yang efektif dalam memperkuat kemampuan numerasi anak-anak dari lingkungan rumah. Mengingat pentingnya numerasi sebagai keterampilan dasar untuk pendidikan dan kehidupan sehar-hari, intervensi yang dilakukan di rumah dapat berperan signifikan dalam perkembangan keterampilan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan menghimpun, menganalisis, dan mensintesis berbagai sumber penelitian terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) interaksi melalui perbicangan numerasi, 2) aktivitas numerasi formal dan nonformal, 3) pengetahuan, kemampuan dan pengalaman orang tua, serta 4) peran sikap dan harapan orang tua terbukti efektif dalam membantu anak-anak mengembangkan kemampuan numerasi dengan lebih baik. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar orang tua lebih terlibat dalam proses belajar anak di rumah dan menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pembelajaran numerasi. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan praktis bagi orang tua dalam meningkatkan keterampilan numerasi anak-anak di rumah, serta menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam penyusunan program pengembangan keterampilan numerasi.

Abstract

The development of critical thinking skills requires the selection of learning models that can appropriately achieve learning goals. The purpose of the study was to prove the interaction between demonstration learning model with learning motivation towards the development of critical thinking skills in mathematics learning. This type of research is quasi-experimental, using quantitative data analysis. The study population is the third grade elementary school students in the district Ngrampal, Sragen. Sampling using cluster random sampling. Data collection with tests. The data were analyzed by variance analysis test of two different cell paths and further test of variance analysis. The results showed a summary of Anava obtained Fhitung(11.844) > Ftable (3.91), can be interpreted there is an interaction between the demonstration learning model with learning motivation. Variance follow-up test results, namely: marginal mean for criteria: High 85.37, medium 84.77, and low 83.77 and the results of comparative analysis between cell lines, namely: , Fcount (11.982) > Ftable (6.08); , Fcount (11.946) > Ftable (6.08); , Fcount (57,639) > Ftable (6.08), it can be interpreted that motivation for all criteria has an influence on the demonstration learning model in the development of critical thinking skills. The conclusion of the study is that there is an interaction between the demonstration learning model with learning motivation in the development of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang menjadi kendala untuk peserta didik adalah pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectual (SAVI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas V. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode True Eksperimen Posttest-Only Control Design. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 652 dari 31 SD Negeri di kecamatan Wonogiri. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cluster random sampling, 3 SD Negeri untuk kelompok eksperimen dengan 52 peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dan 3 SD Negeri untuk kelompok kontrol dengan 61 peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengambilan data dengan tes uraian kemampuan berpikir kritis, yang telah memenuhi uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukuran, dan daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis Independent Sample t-test hasil nilai posttest diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < α (α = 0,05) dan nilai t hitung 2,490 > t tabel 1.670, artinya menolak hipotesis nol dan menerima hipotesis alternatif. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah model pembelajaran SAVI berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika di kelas V sekolah dasar pada kecamatan Wonogiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kreatifitas dan pemahaman siswa pada pembelajaran geometri di Sekolah Dasar (SD) menggunakan media manipulative stik es krim. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, tugas pemecahan masalah dan wawancara. Analisis data dengan: kategorisasi, reduksi, penyajian, penafsiran dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini termasuk deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media stik es krim mendukung kreatifitas dan pemahaman siswa. Dengan media manipulatif tersebut, siswa dapat menghasilkan berbagai jenis bangun datar dan menentukan kelilingnya, serta mengembankannya untuk membentuk objek yang lebih kompleks dan juga menentukan kelilingnya. Strategi siswa untuk menentukan keliling suatu bangun datar yaitu dengan menentukan banyaknya stick yang digunakan. Adapun untuk menentukan keliling objek yang lebih kompleks siswa kadang keliru, sehingga guru perlu memahamkan siswa bahwa yang dimaksud dari keliling suatu bangun adalah sisi terluar dari bangun tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah berbantuan media kantong satuan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berhitung satuan berat pada siswa kelas V SD. Pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan melalui metode studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang difasilitasi dengan media kantong satuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara, dan kuesioner dengan 25 siswa sebagai responden, Observasi kelas difokuskan pada aktivitas siswa dan guru dalam pembelajaran, sedangkan wawancara menggali persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Data kuesioner dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk menggali lebih dalam tanggapan siswa. Triangulasi data dilakukan untuk meningkatkan validitas dan reliabilitas temuan.. Penerapan model pembelajaran inovatif ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik, tetapi juga memberikan dampak positif pada pemahaman mereka terhadap materi pelajaran. Peserta didik menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam mengekspresikan ide-ide mereka dan kemampuan untuk menghubungkan materi pelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penggunaan media kantong unit tidak hanya memperkuat fokus tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik untuk belajar. Kesimpulannya, penerapan PBL berbantuan media kantong satuan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan perhitungan berat satuan peserta didik, serta membantu mereka memahami konsep berat satuan secara konkret melalui manipulasi langsung. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penerapan media pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this study was to improve the ability to analyze the properties of light using the Predict Observe Explain learning model in fifth grade students of Totosari Elementary School No.102 Surakarta 2018/2019. This research was performed as classroom action research (CAR) were carried in two cycles. The research subjects were teacher and  fifth grade students of Totosari Elementary School No.102 Surakarta, totaling 32 students. Observation, interviews, documentation, and tests were used as data collection techniques. The data validity used were triangulation source and technical triangulation. The data were analyze by an interactive analysis model. The results of this classroom action research show that the class average score in the pre-action is 45.20 with the class achievement percentage of 0%. In the first cycle, the average score of the class increased up to 65.41 with percentage of class achievement of 31.25%. In the second cycle, the average score of the class increased up to 81.35 with percentage of class achievement of 84.38%. The conclusion of this study showed that through the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model can improve the ability to analyze the properties of light in fifth grade students of Totosari Elementary School No.102 Surakarta 2018/2019.Keyword: Analysis Ability, Properties of Light, Predict Observe Explain (POE)

Abstract

Abstract. This research conducted to analyzed numeracy skills reviewed from cognitive styles in the addition and subtraction operations of fractional numbers for fifth grade students. This is a qualitative research using a case study approach. The results of this study are as follows. Learners with Field Independent (FI) cognitive style can fulfill all indicators of numeracy skills, although one subject did not fulfill one indicator. On the other hand, students with Field Dependent (FD) cognitive style did not fulfill all indicators of numeracy skills. In general, they still find it difficult to understand the material of the operations of addition and subtraction of fractions correctly, although ???2 and ???3 can write what is known in the problem using their own language or incomplete. The implication of this research states that the creativity of teachers in the learning process to connect one concept of numeracy with another concept and bring the material to the appropriate application form can be an exercise for students to practice numeracy skills. Teachers also need to facilitate students according to their cognitive style so that students numeracy skills can develop optimally.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe parental support for the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Karangasem 1 elementary school, Surakarta. This research is a qualitative study using a phenomenological research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews and observations. The data validity test technique used triangulation of sources. Data analysis is obtained from the results of data collection using interactive analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that parents fully supported online learning, forms of parental support included parental involvement in learning and facilities provided by parents for online learning. Obstacles in the implementation of online learning according to parents include stubborn children, using learning facilities other than for learning, and discipline.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the advanced reading difficulties experienced by students in learning Indonesian in the independent curriculum of class IV SDN Jajar No 73 Surakarta in the academic year 2022/2023. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SDN Jajar No. 73 Surakarta. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and document studies. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis which consists of data reduction, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The technique for testing the validity of the data uses technical triangulation. Analysis of advanced reading difficulties in learning Indonesian in the independent curriculum, found that fourth grade students still had difficulty learning advanced reading, especially at the creative reading level. The internal causal factors are learning motivation and language development. External causal factors are culture and environment. Efforts that can be made to help students' difficulties are by means of additional learning media with independent curriculum projects, using learning strategies that further develop student creativity, getting used to literacy programs.
