Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of teacher educational background on students' interest in learning Social Sciences (IPS) based on a literature review. This literature study collects and analyzes various relevant journals to understand how teacher education and training can influence students' motivation and interest in learning in social studies subjects. Literature analysis shows that teachers with higher educational qualifications and adequate professional training tend to be able to create a more effective and interesting learning atmosphere, thereby increasing students' interest in learning. This research found that factors such as teacher education level, teaching experience, and participation in professional development programs have a significant effect on students' interest in learning. This study also identified that innovative and interactive teaching methods applied by highly educated teachers can motivate students to be more active in learning social studies. Recommendations from this study emphasize the importance of improving qualifications and continuous training for teachers to improve the quality of education and students' interest in learning. This research makes an important contribution to the field of education by providing insight into how a teacher's educational background can influence students' learning interest in social studies subjects.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan workshop mengenai akreditasi jurnal ilmiah kepada para dosen di lingkup FMIPA UNM. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu observasi, penyampaian materi, diskusi, angket dan diakhiri dengan monitoring dan evaluasi program. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan workshop, diperoleh hasil bahwa seluruh peserta workshop telah mampu mengetahui syarat-syarat dalam melakukan akreditas jurnal, sekitar 95,2% peserta workshop sudah paham akan mekanisme pengajuan akreditasi jurnal, sekitar 95,3% peserta workshop telah mampu mengetahui tahapan-tahapan dalam melakukan pengajuan akreditasi jurnal, dan sekitar 95 % peserta sependapat bahwa materi sesi 1 sampai sesi 4 yang diberikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta dan materi disampaikan secara sistematik dan jelas. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan workshop akreditasi jurnal ini terbilang sukses dilaksanakan dan seluruh peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan antusias dan memberikan apresiasi yang sangat positifKata Kunci: Pengabdian, Workshop, Akreditasi, Jurnal

Abstract

Abstrak. Mitra Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah mahasiswa PS Kimia FMIPA UNM.  Masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah: (1) Masa studi mahasiswa yang cukup lama ; (2) Kurangnya pengetahuan mahasiswa terkait pelaksanaan penelitian secara komputasi ; dan (3) Tidak adanya keterampilan mahasiswa dalam melakukan penelitian melalui program komputer. Target yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan PKM ini adalah mahasiswa PS Kimia FMIPA UNM  tertarik melakukan penelitian melalui kimia komputasi serta dapat mengintegrasikan metode molecular docking dan molecular dynamics pada rencana penelitian bidang kimia. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah: sosialisasi program, rencana tindakan, penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, pendampingan, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah : (1) para peserta pelatihan benar-benar mengikuti penyampaian materi oleh penyaji. Peserta aktif dalam sesi diskusi selama kegiatan penyampaian materi maupun pada saaat demonstrasi sehingga diskusi berlangsung dengan baik, (2) sebanyak 30 orang peserta yang hadir selama kegiatan berlangsung. Para peserta mahasiswa PS Kimia FMIPA UNM, dan (3) lebih dari 75 % peserta telah mampu mampu mengintegrasikan metode molecular docking dan molecular dynamics pada rencana penelitian bidang kimia. Kata kunci : pelatihan, mahasiswa, komputasi, molecular docking, molecular dynamics

Abstract

Lamanya masa studi mahasiswa Program Studi Kimia FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar disebabkan oleh ketergantungan pada penelitian laboratorium yang memerlukan waktu lama dan sering mengalami trial and error. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan penerapan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan simulasi molecular docking guna meningkatkan kompetensi riset mahasiswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Mahasiswa dilatih menggunakan perangkat lunak komputasi seperti Yasara, ChemDraw, ChemSketch, PLANTS dan Discovery Studio Visualizer, serta platform AI seperti SuperPRED, SwissTargetPrediction, dan pKCSM untuk memprediksi sifat farmakokinetik dan aktivitas biologis senyawa kimia. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa terhadap riset kimia berbasis teknologi digital. Pelatihan ini berhasil menumbuhkan literasi digital, efisiensi riset, serta kesiapan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan penelitian kimia di era kecerdasan buatan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDaun seledri merupakan tanaman yang dapat dikonsumsi sebagai sayuran, sehingga ditemukan berbagai senyawa aktif yang terdapat dalam daun dan batang. Flavonoid merupakan kandungan khas tumbuhan hijau dan terdapat pada semua bagian tumbuhan terutama bagian daunnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan dan kadar senyawa flavonoid yang terdapat pada ekstrak metanol seledri (Apium Graveolens L) menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis, dan untuk mengetahui toksisitas akut (LC50) ekstrak metanol seledri terhadap larva Artemia Salina Leach dengan metode BSLT. Sampel penelitian diambil dari kabupaten Gowa, provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Tahap penelitian ini meliputi preparasi sampel, ekstraksi, identifikasi, dan uji toksisitas. Ekstrak seledri diperoleh dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol yang kemudian diuji secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil pengujian secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif ekstrak seledri mengandung senyawa flavonoid dengan kadar pada daun seledri sebesar 0.8236 sedangkan pada batang seledri sebesar 0.1788. Pengujian toksisitas ekstrak seledri terhadap Artemia Salina Leach diperoleh LC50 pada batang seledri sebesar 275.42ppm sedangkan pada daun seledri sebesar 1109.17ppm. Dari nilai LC50 yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak metanol batang seledri memiliki sifat toksik terhadap larva yang ditandai dengan perolehan nilai LC50 <1000ppm sedangkan pada esktrak metanol daun seledri memiliki sifat praktis tidak toksik terhadap larva yang ditandai dengan perolehan nilai LC50 >1000ppm.Kata Kunci: Seledri, Toksisitas, Metode BSLT, FlavonoidABSTRACTCelery leaves are a plant that can be consumed as a vegetable, so various active compounds are found in the leaves and stems. Flavonoids are a typical content of green plants and are found in all parts of the plant, especially the leaves. This research aims to determine the content and levels of flavonoid compounds found in the methanol extract of celery (Apium Graveolens L) using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and to determine acute toxicity (LC50) celery methanol extract against Artemia Salina Leach larvae using the BSLT method. The research sample was taken from Gowa district, South Sulawesi province. This research stage includes sample preparation, extraction, identification and toxicity testing. Celery extract was obtained by maceration using methanol solvent which was then tested qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative and quantitative test results of celery extract contain flavonoid compounds with levels in celery leaves of 0.8236 while in celery stems it is 0.1788. Testing the toxicity of celery extract against Artemia Salina Leach obtained LC50 on celery stems of 275.42ppm while on celery leaves it was 1109.17ppm. From the LC50 value obtained, it can be concluded that the methanol extract of celery stems has toxic properties to larvae, which is indicated by the LC50 value <1000ppm, while the methanol extract of celery leaves has practically non-toxic properties to larvae, which is indicated by the LC50 value >1000ppm.Keywords: Celery, Toxicity, BSLT Method, Flavonoids

Abstract

Dalam kegiatan PKM ini telah dilaksanakan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer yang menggunakan bahan dasar daun kemangi dan daun sereh. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah kelompok PKK yang berada di Kelurahan Samata, Kecamatan Somba Opu, Kabupaten Gowa. Kegiatan PKM ini berlangsung dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap pertama yakni penyuluhan mengenai kandungan bahan alami yang digunakan, tahap kedua berupa demonstrasi pembuatan hand sanitizer dari daun kemangi dan daun sereh, serta tahap ketiga yaitu praktik langsung pembuatan dan pengemasan hand sanitizer oleh tim bersama mitra. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, seluruh anggota kelompok PKK di Kelurahan Samata telah mampu memproses daun kemangi dan daun sereh menjadi hand sanitizer alami.

Abstract

The Youth Red Cross (PMR) proficiency badge is an integral part of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) efforts to educate the younger generation in skills, character, and humanitarian values. This study aims to analyze the role of the PMR proficiency badge in humanitarian-based education through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were obtained from articles, official PMI documents, and reports of activities related to PMR. The results of the study indicate that the proficiency badge contributes to building technical skills such as first aid and disaster preparedness, while instilling the values of solidarity, empathy, and leadership. However, challenges in implementation, such as the lack of uniform training standards, require more attention. Recommendations include improving instructor training, developing educational modules, and optimizing technology for monitoring.

Abstract

Household organic waste remains a significant environmental challenge in Indonesia due to limited public awareness and skills in proper waste management. One practical solution is the utilization of organic waste into eco-enzyme, which has both functional and economic value. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in producing eco-enzyme from organic waste in Sapanang Village, Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency. The implementation methods included socialization, training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation stages. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test analyzed through the N-Gain method. The results showed a very high level of participant engagement, with 100% attendance throughout the activities. In addition, there was a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.641 in the moderate category. Participants were able to independently practice eco-enzyme production and understand the indicators of successful fermentation. Continuous mentoring also helped participants overcome technical challenges and maintain consistency in household-level practices. Therefore, this training program proved effective in enhancing community awareness, knowledge, and skills in environmentally friendly organic waste management, while also providing potential opportunities for community-based economic empowerment

Abstract

The problem of household organic waste in Indonesia remains an environmental challenge that requires serious attention. Organic waste such as fruit and vegetable residues is generally not utilized optimally and is often disposed of directly, causing environmental pollution. One environmentally friendly effort to utilize organic waste is through the production of eco enzyme, which can be processed into economically valuable products such as solid soap. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in Sapanang Village, Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency in producing eco enzyme-based solid soap while encouraging community economic independence. The implementation methods included socialization, education, hands-on practical training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed that participants demonstrated high enthusiasm during the training and were able to understand the process of making eco enzyme-based solid soap independently. In addition to increasing public awareness regarding the importance of organic waste management, this activity also created opportunities for home-based businesses using environmentally friendly products that have the potential to improve community income. Therefore, the eco enzyme-based solid soap training can serve as a form of community empowerment in supporting sustainable environmental management and improving the community’s economy
