Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an electronic student worksheet using Live Worksheets for Grammar course to facilitate learning evaluation and to find out the improvement of student learning achievement in Grammar course. The research design used in this study was research & development method in producing e- worksheets. The ADDIE model was carried out to develop e-worksheet by following four procedures: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This research was validated by material experts and design experts to get advice regarding the feasibility of e-worksheets in terms of media and materials. The sample of this research were 18 students were chosen as sample purposely because they had never used e-worksheets with the help of e-Liveworksheet. The data collected by using test and questionaire instruments delivered to the students. The results of this research showed that the validation results with an average score of 94% for Media validation and 85% for material validation, which means that the translated e-worksheet is included in the criteria for being very valid and suitable for use. The result of quesionaire of e-worksheets showed that the average student response is 85%, which means e-worksheets are positive and practical. Based on the post-test scores on learning outcomes, 18 of student respondents received complete post-test scores, the percentage is 66%. Thus, the use of e-worksheets improve students ability in studying Grammar. Thus, e-worksheet of GrammarI using Live Worksheets are valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Pemandian Ratu Darah Putih di Kampung Maringgai, Kabupaten Lampung Timur, memiliki potensi wisata yang besar, namun belum dikelola secara optimal. Masalah utama yang dihadapi meliputi kurangnya fasilitas dasar, minimnya promosi, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat, pengelolaan yang belum profesional, dan kurangnya perhatian terhadap pelestarian nilai sejarah dan budaya. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas infrastruktur dan fasilitas, meningkatkan promosi dan pemasaran, meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat, menciptakan pengelolaan wisata yang profesional dan berkelanjutan, serta melestarikan nilai sejarah dan budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan lima tahapan: Discovery (menemukan aset lokal), Dream (merumuskan visi bersama), Design (merancang program), Define (menentukan prioritas), dan Destiny (melaksanakan program). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan fasilitas dasar seperti pembuatan papan petunjuk arah, banner pariwisata, dan perbaikan toilet serta area parkir. Upaya promosi melalui media sosial dan website telah dilakukan sebagai langkah awal untuk meningkatkan visibilitas destinasi. Partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam program ini telah meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan dan melestarikan nilai sejarah serta budaya. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan ABCD berhasil mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dan mencapai tujuan pengembangan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat Kampung Maringgai.

Abstract

Ratu Darah Putih Bathing Place in Maringgai Village, East Lampung Regency, has significant tourism potential but has not been optimally managed. The main issues include the lack of basic facilities, minimal promotion, low community awareness, unprofessional management, and insufficient attention to the preservation of historical and cultural values. The objectives of this community service program are: (1) to improve the quality of infrastructure and facilities, (2) to enhance promotion and marketing, (3) to increase community awareness and participation, (4) to create professional and sustainable tourism management, and (5) to preserve historical and cultural values. The method used is the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach with five stages: Discovery (identifying local assets), Dream (formulating a shared vision), Design (designing the program), Define (determining priorities), and Destiny (implementing the program). The results of the program show improvements in basic facilities such as the creation of directional signs, tourism banners, and the repair of toilets and parking areas. Promotion efforts through social media and websites have been carried out as an initial step to increase the destination's visibility. The active participation of the community in this program has raised awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preserving historical and cultural values. The conclusion of this program is that the ABCD approach successfully addressed the challenges and achieved the goal of sustainable tourism development. This program is expected to provide economic and social benefits for the Maringgai Village community.

Abstract

The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the learning process has become an essential innovation in education, including English language learning for first-semester students in English Education programs. This study aims to examine the impact of AI usage in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of English language learning for these students. AI applications in learning cover various aspects, such as automatic translation, speech recognition, and interactive applications that support language skills development. With AI, students can receive instant feedback, access materials independently, and develop language skills in a more structured manner. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through interviews and observations with first-semester students who have used AI as a supportive learning tool. The findings indicate that AI implementation positively influences learning motivation, comprehension of material, and the improvement of speaking, listening, and writing skills in English. However, challenges remain in its application, such as limited access to technology and adaptability to AI platforms. In conclusion, AI implementation can significantly enhance the quality of English language learning, especially in the early stages of university studies, if integrated appropriately into the curriculum and supported by adequate facilities and training.

Abstract

The English vocabulary mastery plays a crucial role in students' language proficiency and communication skills. However, many students struggle with memorizing and effectively using new vocabulary. This study investigates the effectiveness of using Rubik’s Cube as a learning medium to enhance students’ English vocabulary at Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif Roudlotut Tholibin. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, following the Kemmis and Taggart model, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study involves students from class XI, divided into two groups (XA and XB), using a combination of observations, questionnaires, tests, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that integrating Rubik’s Cube into vocabulary learning improves students’ retention, motivation, and engagement. The study also highlights the potential of game-based learning in fostering an interactive and enjoyable learning environment. These results provide valuable insights for educators in developing innovative teaching strategies to enhance English vocabulary acquisition.

Abstract

Interests and talents are important aspects that determine the increase in student competence, including ability in career decisions. This research aims to analyze the effect of group guidance using mind mapping techniques to increase students' understanding of interests and talents to determine career decisions for class X students at State Vocational High School 3 Metro. This research uses a quantitative approach, real/pure experimental design (true-experimental design), by type of research pretest-posttest control group design. This research instrument uses a scale of interests, talents, and career decisions. Data were collected using a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability and analyzed using SPSS with normality, homogeneity, and t-test pair. The validity test results showed that all 19 questionnaire items are declared valid with an r valuecount ranging from 0.363 to 0.694, which is greater than rtable 0.349. Meanwhile, for reliability, it is said to be reliable because of the score Cronbach’s Alpha 0.874 > 0.60. The research results showed a significant difference in students' understanding of interests and talents before and after being given group guidance using techniques of mind mapping (p < 0.05). The experimental group experienced an increase in the average score from 69.90 to 80.20, with a t-value of 6.386 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect. As for the significant differences between pretest and posttest in the experimental group with values themselves = 0.000 < 0.05. This proves that group guidance with mind-mapping techniques effectively increases understanding of students' interests and talents.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was Descreasing Students' Language Anxiety In Speaking English Through Songs on Grade 8 Students of MTs Nurul Qodiri. This study used a class action research. This study was carried out in East Metro City's Metro District. Ten teenagers, ages 14 to 17, participated in this study. Additionally, the primary source of data for this study was interviews. The data findings in this study were analyzed using thematic analysis. The study's findings suggest that using Songs can reduce languange anxiety in speaking English at the eight grade of MTs Nurul Qodiri Lempuyang Bandar. It can be seen in the progress from pre-test to cycle 1 and cycle 2. The average score from pre-test 63 to post test 1 is 73, post test 2 is 81. In cycle I, 9 students passed the test. Moreover, in cycle 2 15 students got a score >75. It means that the result of cycle 2 had already achieved the indicator of success that was 83% of the students achieve the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC). Using Songs can improve the student’s learning activity in the eight grade of MTs Nurul Qodiri Lempuyang Bandar. It can be seen from the result of reflecting that the student’s activities on cycle pre-test were passive. Then, in cycle to cycle 2 the students become active, confident, and much better.

Abstract

Merokok di ruangan tertutup sangat berbahayakarena partikel beracun dari asap rokok merupakan sumberpenyebaran penyakit. Risiko merokok dalam ruangan lebih tinggidibanding merokok di luar. maka, sistem ini dirancang untukmemberikan peringatan dini dan mengendalikan asap rokokdengan mengaktifkan exhaust fan secara otomatis atau manualvia Blynk. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor MQ-135 untukmendeteksi CO2 dari asap rokok, yang diproses oleh NodeMCUESP8266. Sistem memberikan tiga tingkat indikasi dengan LED:hijau (aman), kuning (CO2 750><1200 ppm, dengan notifikasidan perintah menyalakan exhaust fan melalui aplikasi Blynk),dan merah (CO2 di atas 1200 ppm, exhaust fan menyala otomatis).Hasil dari pengujian sistem pemantauan CO2 berbasis sensorMQ-135 dan Blynk mampu mendeteksi perubahan kadar CO2dalam ruangan tertutup baik dalam kondisi udara bersih maupuntercemar asap rokok. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwasetelah kalibrasi, sensor MQ-135 memberikan pembacaan yangsejalan dengan alat komersial pada kadar CO2 rendah (400–750ppm) dengan selisih kecil (1–19 ppm) dan tingkat error rendah(0,23%–4,63%). Namun, pada konsentrasi tinggi akibatakumulasi asap rokok (>1200 ppm), sensor MQ-135 menunjukkanpenyimpangan signifikan (selisih hingga 451 ppm, error hingga34,83%), yang kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh sensitivitas sensoratas gas lain. Sistem indikator dan aktuator seperti LED danexhaust fan berfungsi sesuai dengan ambang batas, sertanotifikasi Blynk berjalan dengan baik dalam memberi peringatan.Dengan demikian, sistem dinilai efektif untuk pemantauan CO2dalam rentang 10–1000 ppm, namun kurang tepat untuk akurasitinggi di atas batas tersebut.Kata kunci— Asap rokok, Blynk, Exhaust Fan, LED, MQ-135, NodeMCU ESP8266
