Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) within a problem-based learning (PBL) approach to enhance students' creativity and learning outcomes in science subjects at SD Inpres Tanamodindi. The research was conducted in Grade V of SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi Palu, where students exhibit diverse academic abilities. Following the research design proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart (2013) and Zhong, Y. (2024), the study was carried out in two cycles. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, field notes, and learning outcome assessments. The findings reveal that integrating the STEAM approach into the PBL model at SD Inpres Tanamodindi led to an improvement in learning outcomes, rising from 64.65 in the first cycle to 71.77 in the second cycle. Additionally, students' creativity in solving science-related problems improved, progressing from the "sufficient" category in cycle 1 to the "very good" category in cycle 2.

Abstract

AbstractMutiara, 2024. Analysis of Student Learning Outcomes in IPAS Subjects Using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model for Class IV SD Inpres Porame. Thesis elementary school teacher education program, department of education science, faculty of teacher training and education science, tadulako university. Supervisor Sarintan N. Kaharu, S.Pd., M.Pd. The problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects, it can be seen from the daily test scores, where out of 33 students only 10 people scored above the KKM, which is 70. The purpose of this study was to analyze student learning outcomes with the problem-based learning model in class IV SD Inpres Porame. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research in accordance with Bogdan and Taylor Nugrahani's research. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Inpres Porame, with 33 students. Data collection consists of observation sheets, interviews, documentation, and tests. Based on student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects with plant body parts material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can be seen from the tests found to be 81.8%, student learning outcomes on a very good rating scale and there are 18.2%, student learning outcomes on a less good rating scale. This is due to the different learning styles of students. KeywordsStudent Learning Outcomes, IPAS subjects, Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model, Abstrak Mutiara, 2024. Kata KunciHasil Belajar Siswa, Mata Pelajaran IPAS, Model Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences Learning (IPAS) aims to develop students' ability to understand and apply scientific and social concepts in daily life, as well as to improve their scientific and social literacy. However, the reality is that there are still many students who have difficulty understanding the material and are less interested in science subjects, especially in science material. This study aims to determine the influence of the multimedia-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects in grade IV of SDN Ungkaya. The research method used was a quasi-experiment (Quasi Experiment) with a Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. Data analysis uses prerequisite tests, namely, normality test and homogeneity test as well as hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test and N-gain test assisted by the SPSS version 30 program. The results showed that there was a significant influence of the multimedia-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on student learning outcomes, with the Independent sample T-Test Two-Sided test score p = 0.019. The results of the T-Test showed that the significance value of Two-Sided p < 0.05. The results of the study also showed an average N-gain value of 0.7524 which was categorized as high effectiveness. It can be concluded that the multimedia-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model is effective and can have a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Objective: Primary education plays a strategic role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, especially in shaping environmental awareness and improving students' well-being from an early age. However, the integration of SDGs in learning practices still faces structural and pedagogical challenges at the school level. This study aims to examine the implementation of SDGs values in primary school learning and analyze how education quality management contributes to the effectiveness of the implementation. Method: This study used a qualitative approach with a collective case study design involving 15 primary schools in Palu City. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed thematically. Results: Results showed that schools with structured quality management systems and participatory leadership were more successful in internalizing SDGs values in learning, particularly through thematic activities and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). The impact is seen in the improvement of students' environmentally conscious behavior and social empathy. This research confirms the importance of a systemic approach that integrates pedagogical and managerial aspects in supporting the achievement of SDGs at the basic education level. Novelty: The findings contribute to the theory of sustainable education and offer practical implications for education policy at the local and national levels
