Abstract

Inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah dasar sering terkendala oleh minimnya kompetensi digital guru dan kurang optimalnya integrasi kearifan lokal. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan menguatkan keterampilan guru SDN 8 Labuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran Augmented Reality (AR) yang mengintegrasikan konten etnosains dan etnomatematika. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan 20 peserta melalui lokakarya intensif dan pendampingan. Peserta dilatih memproduksi aset 3D menggunakan kecerdasan buatan (Generative AI) dan merakitnya menjadi media interaktif pada platform Assemblr Edu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada literasi digital dan pedagogis guru, dibuktikan dengan terciptanya produk media AR berbasis budaya lokal, seperti visualisasi Rumah Adat Souraja. Evaluasi program mencatatkan skor kepuasan rata-rata 9,18 (kategori Sangat Baik), dengan apresiasi tertinggi pada relevansi materi terhadap pelestarian budaya.  Program pengabdian ini efektif meningkatkan keterampilan guru sekolah dasar dalam mengembangkan media Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis etnosains dan etnomatematika. Integrasi AR, kearifan lokal, dan teknologi generatif berbasis AI mampu memvisualisasikan konsep abstrak secara kontekstual sekaligus menurunkan hambatan teknis guru. Pendampingan berkelanjutan direkomendasikan untuk memastikan konsistensi penerapan media AR dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas pembelajaran

Abstract

Latar belakang kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu adanya permasalahan pada sekolah mitra SDN 9 Banawa Kabupaten Donggala yaitu (1) Guru belum memiliki pemahaman model pembelajaran berbasis kebudayaan daerah, dan (2) belum ada pelatihan tentang model pembelajaran berbasis kebudayaan kepada guru-guru. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang model pembelajaran berbasis permainan tradisional pada guru di SDN 9 Banawa. Pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan Andragogy. Beberapa teknik atau metode yang dapat digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pemaparan materi, diskusi, dan praktek pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran nobangan. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu (1) guru antusias dan bersemangat mengikuti desiminasi hasil penelitian model pembelajaran nobangan. (2) Implementasi penggunaan model pembelajaran nobangan di dalam pembelajaran mendapat respon positif dari guru dan siswa. Guru mudah menyampaikan materi kepada siswa. Siswapun terlihat aktif dan bersemangat selama dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran nobangan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Inquiry learning model assisted by concrete media on student learning outcomes in the material of force effects on objects in grade IV SD Inpres Bumi Sagu. This study uses a quantitative method with a Quasi Experiment design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects involved class IV A as the control class (19 students) and class IV B as the experimental class (19 students). The instruments used included learning outcome tests in the form of 22 multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity and reliability, as well as interview guidelines to explore students' learning experiences. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using Independent Sample T-Test. The research results show that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 53.95, increasing to 90.37 on the posttest, while the control class increased from 63.21 to 81.74. The Independent Sample T-Test shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Interview results support the quantitative findings, showing that students in the experimental class experienced increased conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and critical thinking skills. Students in the low, medium, and high categories all felt the benefits of more meaningful learning through direct experience with concrete media. Thus, the Inquiry learning model assisted by concrete media is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes in science learning on the material of force effects on objects in grade IV SD Inpres Bumi Sagu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu, totaling 19 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the sample due to its relatively small size (fewer than 30 individuals). Therefore, the sample in this study was all 19 fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. Data collection techniques included a critical thinking skills test, observation sheets, and interviews. The data analysis used in this study comprised descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics version 30 application. Based on the results and analysis of the research data, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning model on the students' critical thinking skills in class V at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. This can be seen from the posttest results in the IPAS subject, where the average score was 88.37. The Paired Sample T-Test analysis showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This demonstrates that the Discovery Learning model has a positive effect on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. This research implies that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can enhance students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, this model can be more widely integrated into the learning process at SD Inpres 2 Besusu to help students develop analytical and more creative problem-solving skills. Additionally, the findings of this study provide a basis for teachers to use more interactive and discovery-based teaching models to improve the quality of education and students' critical thinking abilities in the future.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor that determines the success of education at the elementary school level. However, some students still exhibit low motivation despite the teacher's efforts to create engaging learning experiences. This study aims to explore the teacher's role as a motivator in enhancing the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Sindue. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation involving one teacher and six students categorized as having high and low motivation. The results show that the teacher implemented various strategies such as stimulating learning interest, creating a pleasant atmosphere, giving praise, assessments, rewards, and competitions. These strategies were found effective in increasing motivation for most students, although some students faced internal obstacles such as laziness and lack of self-confidence, as well as external obstacles like difficulty with the material and an unfavorable learning environment. The study highlights the importance of individualized and adaptive approaches by teachers to sustain student learning motivation. The implications of this research emphasize the need for teacher training in implementing more personal and context-specific motivational strategies. This study also contributes to the literature on learning motivation at the elementary level through an empirically grounded, context-specific approach.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize global empirical findings on literacy numeracy (LN) through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review focuses on three key aspects: predictive factors of numeracy development, social disparities (including gender and socioeconomic status), and the effectiveness of pedagogical interventions. Data were collected from 15 empirical studies published between 2024 and 2025 and analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that numeracy development is influenced by strong cognitive foundations, particularly early numeracy and quantitative language, which act as significant predictors of later mathematical achievement. Neurocognitive evidence also highlights the role of specific brain regions, while family support contributes indirectly through learning environments. Furthermore, significant social disparities persist, where gender and socioeconomic status interact in complex ways to shape numeracy outcomes, with women and low-SES groups consistently showing lower performance. In terms of interventions, domain-specific and differentiated pedagogical approaches, including teacher professional development and contextualized learning, demonstrate effectiveness in improving numeracy skills. However, challenges remain in implementation, particularly in curriculum alignment, assessment bias, and contextual barriers. This study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of literacy numeracy as a multidimensional and context-dependent competence, emphasizing the need for integrated, equitable, and evidence-based educational strategies.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examined research on students’ misconceptions and mental models related to floating, suspending, and sinking (FSS) concepts published between 1990 and 2026. The review aims to map research themes, major forms of misconceptions, classifications of mental models, and instructional interventions used to support scientific understanding. The review implemented the PRISMA framework to identify, screen, and ensure the eligibility of the articles. A total of 215 articles met the inclusion criteria. Findings show that misconceptions remain the most investigated aspect, particularly those involving confusion among density, mass, volume, and buoyant force. Research on mental models is still limited, revealing that many learners rely on initial or synthetic, context-dependent representations rather than scientific models. Instructional interventions are the most extensively and widely investigated, including hands-on activities, conceptual change strategies, simulations, and structured learning models, each contributing differently to addressing misconceptions and promoting scientific mental models about FSS phenomena. Overall, the review highlights persistent conceptual difficulties, insufficient assessment tools, and a need for more integrative research that connects misconceptions, mental models, reasoning, and diagnostic measurement. Strengthening appropriate interventions will support deeper insights into learners’ scientific understanding and mental models of FSS concepts.

Abstract

Konsep terapung dan tenggelam merupakan bagian penting dalam kajian fluida statis yang berkaitan dengan massa jenis, gaya apung, dan hubungan antara berat benda dengan gaya yang bekerja dalam fluida. Meskipun konsep ini sering dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, banyak pebelajar masih mengalami miskonsepsi dalam memahaminya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk miskonsepsi pebelajar tentang konsep terapung dan tenggelam, mendeskripsikan sumber-sumber miskonsepsi, serta menentukan sumber miskonsepsi yang paling dominan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 33 pebelajar PGSD Semester 3. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes diagnostik three-tier test yang terdiri atas pertanyaan konseptual, alasan pemilihan jawaban, dan identifikasi sumber miskonsepsi. Data dianalisis dengan mengklasifikasikan jawaban pebelajar ke dalam kategori Scientific, Misconception, Negative False, dan Not Know, kemudian menghitung persentase masing-masing kategori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat miskonsepsi pebelajar pada konsep terapung, melayang, dan tenggelam dengan persentase sebesar 12,77%. Miskonsepsi yang muncul umumnya berkaitan dengan pemahaman yang tidak tepat mengenai hubungan antara massa jenis, gaya apung, dan berat benda. Analisis sumber miskonsepsi menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang paling dominan adalah penggunaan intuisi atau dugaan pebelajar dalam menjelaskan fenomena tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya strategi pembelajaran yang dapat membantu pebelajar merekonstruksi pemahaman konsep secara ilmiah.
