Abstract

This research is motivated by the low science scores of students at the school, so researchers want to conduct research to find out if there is an increase in student learning outcomes in science when using the animation-assisted inquiry learning model. This type of research is quasi-experimental, the research design used is Two Group Pre test-Post test Design, eighth and the research population is all grade students of SMP Swasta Parulian 1 Medan. The instrument used in the learning outcomes test was 20 multiple choice questions which were validated by 2 science teachers in junior high school. The research result shows the score average pre test of 37.80 in 40.00 in the experimental class and control class and score post test of 82.00 in 71.00 in the experimental class and control class. Each sample group has normal data and has been tested using the Lilliefors test using SPSS, with the calculation of the results pre test obtained that L significance > 0.05, namely (0.114 > 0.05) for the experimental class and (0.148 > 0.05) for the experimental class. control, and the results post test obtained that L significance > 0.05, namely (0.066 > 0.05) for the experimental class and (0.071 > 0.05) for the control class. Furthermore, the data for both samples have homogeneous variances and have been tested using the SPSS F test, with the calculation of the results pre test obtained that F significance > 0.05 (0.728 > 0.05), and the results post test obtained that F significance 0.05 ( 0.050 ≥ 0.05). The research hypothesis test was carried out using the t-test (one-sided test). From the calculation results, it is obtained that the t significance < 0.05 is (0.000 < 0.05). then the result of hypothesis Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the overall data analysis, the t significance of < t is (0.000 < 0.05) and simple regression analysis Y = a + bx is Y = 38.347 + 0.573X. Inquiry learning model assisted by animation media can improve student learning outcomes with a large effect of increasing learning outcomes 15.5% which has a correlation coefficient of r = 0.491 (medium positive correlation). In conclusion, science learning outcomes using an inquiry learning model assisted by animation media can increase student learning outcomes by 15.5%.

Abstract

Covid-19 has an influence  on education, which in the end the minister of education and culture issued letter a circular number  on 4th 2020, namely learning during the Covid-19 pandemic carried out online. This research aims to 1) describing cognitive learning outcomes of physics in based-online learning,” 2)  describing constraints of students on based-online learning in physics subjects matter, 3) calculate the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between cognitive physics learning outcomes with student constraints in based-online learning in physics subjects matter This research uses descriptive methods for collection are documents and questionnaires. Based on analysis of documentation and questionnaires obtained mean of the cognitive learning outcomes of  physics  11st Natural Sciences Grade State Senior High School Alasa is 48,00 was in the low category and the percentage of student constraints in online-based learning in physics subjects matter by 0,398 was in the high category and has a negative correlation between learning outcomes and student constraints in based-online learning in physics lessons with a correlation coefficient of -0,462. Be concluded that, if the constraints of students in based-online learning are low then the physics learning outcomes of students are high and otherwise.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving learning outcomes and understanding of students both affective and cognitive for class XI Santo Thomas 3 Medan Senior High School in dynamic fluid using integrated learning learning models. This study was a quasi-experimental study, where before the experimental class and comparison class were determined the test was given. For the class that gets the highest average value is called the comparison class while the class that gets the lowest average value is called the experimental class. For data collection, it is done by conducting a test by giving questions in the form of multiple choice objectives. The test given is a pretest with the aim to see students initial cognitive and posttest to see the students' final cognitive abilities after being taught by the integrated learning method. To see the affective nature of students used observation sheets, which were carried out during the learning process. The results of data analysis and discussion showed an increase in learning outcomes and students' understanding that was significant with an increase in the average learning outcomes of 37.97%, gain<g> of 0.48. From the calculation of regression analysis obtained a regression coefficient of 0.84, this indicates a strong relationship between learning activities with learning outcomes. The results of the analysis state that using an integrated learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes and understanding, both affective and cognitive, especially for dynamic fluid

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to improve cognitive understanding of Universitas HKBP Nommensen students of physics education program in the fifth semester of 2018/2019 school year in Wave and Optical subject by implementing Learning Cycle 7E Model emphasizing on the basic concept of physics. This research was a classroom action research, conducted with three different cycles and teaching materials for each cycle. Each cycle is evaluated, reflected and improved in order to achieve the learning indicators. From the results of cycle I evaluation, the average cognitive value was 28.61; Cycle II was 29.79 and Cycle III was 70.83. Gain <g> of cycle I to cycle II was of 0.02 with the lowest criteria; gain <g> of cycle II to cycle III was 0.58 with the medium category and gain <g> of cycle I to cycle III was 0.59 with moderate criteria. From the results of the t-test of cycle I to cycle II, the difference obtained was 0.14 (showing no difference); cycle II to cycle III was 15.12 (showing difference) and cycle I to cycle III was 21.12 (showing difference) with t table of 1.70. The average level of students’ understanding for cycle I was 26.8; cycle II was 30.4; and cycle III was 60.7. All the result were obtained by making significant improvements in cycle III, including teaching the basic concepts of counting before the learning process in cycle III was conducted. The results of the data analysis and discussion show an improvement in the understanding of Universitas HKBP Nommensen students of physics education program by implementing Learning Cycle 7E Model emphasizing on the basic concept of physics. It was achieved as long as the learning process was modified according to students' abilities and the supporting learning media appropriate to the learning process were provided.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to improve cognitive, affective and psychomotor understanding of SMA Swasta Hosana Medan students in Class XI MIA odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year with the subject of elasticity and static fluid with experimental methods using discovery learning models. This research is a classroom action research, which was conducted using two cycles using a total sample. Each class is taught with different teaching material, in the first cycle the teaching material presented is elasticity and in the second cycle the teaching material is static fluid. Each cycle is evaluated, reflected and improved in the hope of achieving cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning indicators for students. From the evaluation results obtained an average cognitive value for cycle I of 70.24 and cycle II of 78.10 with a gain <g> = 0.26 low criteria, and the results of the t test, obtained t count 3.13> t table 1.684 means there is influence. The average affective cycle I was 80.20 while the second cycle was 84.22 with a gain <g> = 0.20 in the low category, and the results of the t test were obtained by t arithmetic 6.203> t table 1.684, meaning that there was an improvement effect of the cycle I to cycle II. For the psychomotor assessment results, the average value of the first cycle was 71.90 while the second cycle was 77.78, and the gain <g> = 0.21 was in the low category, and from the results of the t test, t count was 7.83> t table 1.684 there is an improvement in the results from cycle I to cycle II. Thus the level of understanding of SMA Swasta Hosana Medan students in class XI MIA increases if taught by the experimental method using discovery learning models for the subject matter of elasticity and static fluid in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic that struck the world has forced educational institutions to carry out distance learning both online and offline. The main problem in distance learning is the unstable internet network in some areas far from urban areas and the teaching materials are not interactive. As a result, student motivation to learn independently is very lacking which results in low learning achievement. This research is a classroom action research in an effort to improve student learning achievement and learning motivation in the numerical method course, where the teaching material used is an interactive e-book. The results showed that learning achievement increased and completed 100% and student learning motivation was in the very high category. Interactive e-books are very effective in overcoming unstable internet network problems, because they can be accessed without being connected to the internet.

Abstract

Covid-19 melanda dunia termasuk Indonesia, akibatnya banyak kegiatan masyarakat berubah, termasuk bidang pendidikan dari pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring.Sekolah, guru dan siswa masih banyak belum siap untuk mengikuti pembelajaran daring , disebabkan banyak hal, seperti masalah tidak mampu membeli perangkat smartphone atau komputer, penguasaan IT , jaringan internet yang tidak memadai,dan tidak mampu untuk membeli kuota internet, mengakibatkan banyak anak sekolah tertinggal dalam pembelajaranl. Untuk mengejar ketertinggalan dalam bidang pendidikan,pemerintah melalui Menteri Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi meluncurkan program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka(MBKM) berisi delapan program salah satunya adalah kegiatan Kampus Mengajar. Kampus Mengajar melibatkan mahasiswa dan dosen dari semua Perguruan Tinggi untuk terjun secara langsung ke sekolah yang sudah ditetapkan untuk membantu pendidikan khususnya untuk Sekolah Dasar sederajat dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama sederajat. Kegiatan kampus mengajar dimulai dengan tahap observasi, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apa yang menjadi kebutuhan , dan kendala apa yang dialami sekolah, sehingga fokus untuk perbaikan dapat dirancang dengan baik, dengan tujuan kegiatan menjadi tepat sasaran, dan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi siswa, guru dan tenaga kependidikan disekolah. Tahapan kegiatan dalam kampus mengajar angkatan 2 di SD Al Washliyah 87 Ledong Timur adalah sebagai berikut : (1) tahap survey, (2) analisis kebutuhan, (3)Persiapan perangkat pendukung kegiatan, (4) pelaksanaan, (5) Refleksi dan evaluasi . Untuk fokus kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dalam program kampus mengajar angkatan 2 ini meliputi empat kegiatan antara lain : (1) meningkatkan Literasi siswa, (2) meningkatkan numerasi siswa, ( 3) perbaikan administrasi sekolah, dan (4) adaptasi teknologi. Dari hasil kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan , diperoleh bahawa kemampuan Numerasi siswa masih rendah, siswa masih sangat susah untuk melakukan perhitungan dan operasi matematika seperti penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dan pembagian. Untuk kemampuan Literasi juga masih rendah hal ini disebabkan masih ditemukan siswa yang belum lancar membaca dan menulis. Kegiatan adaptasi teknologi diperuntukkan untuk guru dan tenaga kependidikan, diperoleh hasil gambaran bahwa guru dan tenaga kependidikan mampu memahami beberapa program IT, seperti menggunakan zoom, google meet, dan mengarsipkan file dalam google drive. Hasil yang diperolah dalam kegiatan ini adalah guru sudah mampu membuka email, membuka zoom, membuka google meet, dan sudah mampu mengarsipkan data dalam google drive.

Abstract

Educators as managers of learning activities are expected to be able to create an effective, active learning atmosphere and meet the learning needs of students. The problems found by researchers when conducting observations were that the teaching and learning atmosphere still seemed passive and the teacher did not consider the learning needs of students. Based on the problems encountered, the researcher offers a solution, namely by applying a differentiated learning strategy. Researchers conducted research with the aim of looking at the effect of differentiated learning strategies on learning outcomes obtained by students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa in the 2021/2022 school year. The research method used is nonequivalent control group design. The results of the right-tail t-test hypothesis test obtained the value of tcount > ttable , namely 2.381 > 2.014 with = 0.05, based on the testing criteria, the accepted hypothesis is Ha means that there is an effect of treatment of differentiated learning strategies on student learning outcomes SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa for the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

The research conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year aims to see how the influence of different learning strategies on the learning results of eighth-grade students of State Junior High School 4 Medan on vibration and wave material. This study used true experimental research with a pretest posttest control group design. The population used in this study was class VIII of State Junior High School 4 Medan as a whole consisting of 346 people. The sample of this study was class VIII-2 as the experimental class and VIII-3 as the control class selected using the cluster random sampling technique. To find out student learning results, multiple-choice questions with a total of 20 items have been previously tested for validity, reliability, difficulty, and discrimination. The learning results of the two classes were tested for normality with the Lilliefors test and the homogeneity test using the F test. Then a one-sided t-test was carried out for = 0.05, obtained tcount = 2.07 > ttable = 1.6697. As for the regression test obtained = 15.79 + 0.78X. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of differentiation learning strategies on the learning results of grade VIII students of State Junior High School 4 Medan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkarakterisasi dan mengevaluasi pengetahuan konseptual dan kemampuan proses sains siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan beragam metodologi instruksional. dipaksakan pada "subjek", yaitu para siswa. Implementasi model PBL dengan strategi pembelajaran berdifrensiasi diterpakn pada pokok bahasan fluida statis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode random (probability sampling). Variabel bebas dan terikat dalam penelitian ini dipertimbangkan dalam konteks perannya masing-masing. Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep siswa yang diajar menggunakan model PBL lebih baik. Nilai rata-rata pada tes Kemampuan Memahami Konsep siswa adalah 82,95. jika dibandingkan dengan skor rata-rata 71,25 yang dicapai oleh siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran tradisional. Dengan skor rata-rata 78,43, pembelajaran KPS siswa dengan model PBL membuahkan hasil yang positif. jika dibandingkan dengan skor rata-rata 39,64 yang dicapai oleh siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran tradisional. Menurut temuan penelitian, siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan strategi pembelajaran yang dibedakan memiliki keterampilan proses sains yang lebih kuat daripada siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran tradisional.
