Abstract

The growth of the packaging industry in Indonesia has shown positive growth so that packaging business competition is a dynamic challenge. PT Jaya Prakarsa is a company that focuses on the packaging industry trusted by consumers because the quality and service are the best. However, the company faces obstacles namely declining internal performance and facing fluctuations in company revenue. This research aims to revamp effective strategies for PT Jaya Prakarsa in order to develop its business and compete in a competitive market so as to increase revenue. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with SWOT and QSPM methods. The results showed that the company has a profitable role based on the IFE and EFE matrices, with the results of values of 1.606 and 1.304 and placing them in quadrant I so that the recommended strategy is Growth Oriented Strategy. In addition, the results of the SWOT matrix also identify SO's strategies to leverage between internal strengths and external opportunities. Alternative strategies through the QSPM matrix selected through 1 set of SO strategies showed that the highest TAS score was 6,870 with the strategy of utilizing technological advances to produce innovative new products and capitalize on the growth of the wider market.

Abstract

The growth of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia is now increasingly rapid, one of which is in the food and beverage sector. PT. XYZ is one of the beverage industries that has problems, namely the high cost of distribution due to the irregular distribution of distribution from the Factory to the Regional Sales Office (KPW). This study uses the transportation method with the initial solution, namely the Vogell Approximation (VAM) method, the Least Cost, North West Corner (NWC) method and the optimum solution using the Modified Distribution (MODI) method. In addition, a comparison was made with the results of the POM - QM software. The purpose of this research is to optimize distribution costs and allocate distribution of tea products in boxes (tetra pak) with a volume of 250 ml and analyze the optimal distribution costs after the application of transportation methods in distributing 250 ml Sosro Tetra Pak tea products at PT. XYZ. After doing the analysis and calculations, it is concluded that the application of transportation methods using POM - QM software can optimize distribution costs and allocate distribution of 250 ml Sosro Tetra Pak tea products at PT. XYZ. Then After calculating the transportation method, the optimal distribution cost is Rp. 2,059,460,017. There was a decrease in costs of up to Rp. 140,539,983 so the company will save up to 6.39%.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dihadapkan pada tantangan yang semakin kompleks dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di era globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM ECOSEKAM Packaging melalui optimalisasi proses produksi dengan menerapkan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan Operation Process Chart (OPC). QFD digunakan untuk menghubungkan kesenjangan antara kebutuhan pelanggan dan spesifikasi produk. Melalui analisis House of Quality, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi prioritas kebutuhan pelanggan terhadap produk kemasan makanan, seperti harga, kualitas bahan baku, dan dampak lingkungan. Sementara itu, OPC digunakan untuk memetakan alur produksi secara visual, mengidentifikasi aktivitas yang tidak memberikan nilai tambah, dan mengoptimalkan urutan proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan mengimplementasikan QFD dan OPC, UMKM ECOSEKAM Packaging berhasil mencapai beberapa peningkatan. Pertama, perusahaan mampu merancang produk yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelanggan. Kedua, efisiensi proses produksi meningkat, yang tercermin dari tercapainya target produksi sebanyak 50 pcs produk kemasan makanan per periode. Ketiga, kualitas produk yang dihasilkan juga meningkat secara signifikan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan QFD dan OPC merupakan solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM dengan mengoptimalkan proses produksi, sehingga bisnis bisa bertahan dan berkembang di pasar yang kompetitif.

Abstract

Jaya Battery Motor (JBM) is a workshop for two or more vehicles, and there are several services available in that place, such as servicing, changing oil, changing batterymulators, changing tires and others. The problem that is being faced by the workshop is that the distribution of tasks to employees is still carried out randomly, so that a lot of time is wasted. Workshop owners still do not know how to divide employee duties so that the time needed to do something can be said to be optimal. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal time of work for employees using the Hungarian method, as well as to provide completion of employee placement in doing work. Based on the research that has been done, the results of the division of tasks for the Jaya Battery Motor workshop employees can be said to be optimal if the division of tasks is as follows: Ridwan changes the car oil in 15 minutes, Asep replaces the car accumulator with 20 minutes, Candra replaces the car spark plug with 30 minutes time. The results obtained in the form of a total work time before using the Hungarian Method is 75 minutes, while using the Hungarian Method is 65 minutes. So the time efficiency obtained is 10 minutes.Jaya Battery Motor (JBM) merupakan sebuah bengkel kendaraan dua atau lebih, dan terdapat beberapa pelayanan yang ada ditempat tersebut seperti melakukan servis, ganti oli, ganti akumulator, ganti ban dan lainnya. Permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi bengkel tersebut adalah pembagian tugas terhadap karyawan masih dilakukan secara acak, sehingga banyak waktu yang terbuang. Pemilik bengkel masih belum mengetahui bagaimana cara pembagian tugas karyawan agar waktu yang diperlukan untuk mengerjakan sesuatu bisa dikatakan optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui waktu optimal pekerjaan para karyawan dengan menggunakan Metode Hungarian, serta memberikan penyelesaian penempatan karyawan dalam melakukan pekerjaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil pembagian tugas karyawan bengkel Jaya Battery Motor dimana sudah bisa dikatakan optimal apabila pembagian tugasnya adalah sebagai berikut: Ridwan mengganti oli mobil dengan waktu 15 menit, Asep mengganti akumulator mobil dengan waktu 20 menit, Candra mengganti busi mobil dengan waktu 30 menit. Didapatkan hasil berupa total waktu pekerjaan sebelum menggunakan Metode Hungarian yaitu 75 menit, sedangkan jika menggunakan Metode Hungarian yaitu 65 menit. Terjadi efisiensi waktu sebesar 10 menit.

Abstract

This study examines how PT YM can improve the effectiveness of its inventory management by implementing the Just In Time (JIT) method. The main objective of the study is to overcome the problem of overstocking, which often occurs as a result of poor inventory management. Companies that use JIT produce items only in response to demand, which reduces inventory costs and storage requirements. According to the research, the implementation of JIT can increase production efficiency by 35% in an average of 11 days, with efficiency levels ranging from 27% to 38%. Moving average, linear trend and double exponential smoothing are some of the forecasting techniques used. Safety stock and kanban analysis are also used to ensure the best possible availability of raw materials. It is believed that the resulting recommendations will help with inventory management issues and serve as a guide for future inventory control studies.

Abstract

Plastics have experienced a rapid increase in production over the last 70 years. Initially, in 1950, the world only produced 2 million tons, and now production is more than 450 million tons. Around a quarter of plastic waste is thrown away and needs to be appropriately managed, namely around 82 million tons. In other words, the waste is not disposed of in a proper disposal site, not recycled or burned. This research underwent several stages: literature study, data collection, extruder design, machine element calculations, analysis and discussion. Six types of materials will be used as objects for selecting extruder materials, including SS 410, SS 422, AISI 4140, AISI 4340, AISI 1144, and AISI 1045. Planning is carried out on the machine elements so that von Misses stress and deflection values ​​are obtained to determine the appropriate values. Extruder design planning. It was concluded that the highest Von Misses Stress value was obtained for all materials with variations in material length and width, namely 700 and 45 mm. The higher the length and diameter dimensions, the higher the von Misses stress value. The highest deflection value was obtained on Stainless Steel 410 material with variations in length and width of the material, namely 700 and 45 mm. The higher the length dimension of a material, the higher the deflection value.

Abstract

Abstrak: UMKM merupakan salah satu pendukung ekonomi nasional yang perlu diberdayakan dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman. Pemberdayaan dapat dilakukan melalui perbaikan kualitas produk yang mengacu pada standarisasi kerja, karena kualitas merupakan jaminan bagi konsumen dalam menggunakan produk. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra sasaran UMKM bengkel las rasyid yaitu saat proses pengelasan produk yang masih terdapat patahan pada produk. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai metode dan cara mengetahui kualitas produk pengelasan melalui uji kekuatan las Non Destructive Test (NDT) sesuai prosedur. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk agar mampu bersaing dengan produk lainnya. Metode pelaksanaan pada pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi, edukasi, dan pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini, pekerja mengetahui cara pengujian kekuatan las dan teknis keterampilan pengujian serta modul prosedur pemeriksaan kekuatan las. UMKM bengkel las perlu menyadari dan memperhatikan tiga hal dalam proses pengelasan yaitu kebersihan material, posisi material dan posisi pekerja, serta kerapatan agar produk yang dihasilkan memiliki kulitas baik.Abstract: MSMEs are one of the supporters of the national economy that need to be empowered in the face of the times. Empowerment can be done through improving product quality which refers to work standardization, because quality is a guarantee for consumers in using the product. The problem faced by the target partner of MSMEs in Rasyid's workshop is when the product welding process still has fractures in the product. The service activity aims to provide knowledge about methods and ways to determine the quality of welding products through the Non Destructive Test (NDT) welding strength test according to the procedure. This is done to improve product quality in order to be able to compete with other products. The implementation method for this service is socialization, education, and training. The results obtained from this service, workers know how to test weld strength and technical testing skills as well as the welding strength inspection procedure module. Welding workshop SMEs need to realize and pay attention to three things in the welding process, namely the cleanliness of the material, the position of the material and the position of the workers, and the density so that the resulting product has good quality.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the readiness of SMEs Karawang in terms of Technology, Organization, Environment (TOE) Framework and technological readiness (TRI) for benefits of industry 4.0 (BOI) in the dimension of industry 4.0 (DOI), viewed from different business scale groups; micro-businesses (group 1) and small-medium businesses (group 2), with a random sampling of 300 SMEs samples using the multigroup-SEM method. The results showed that the feasibility of the research model was quite good from the results of the structural test of the multigroup-SEM. In the micro business (group 1), managerial (TOE) and technology (TRI) MSME readiness factors influence the use of technology pillars in the industry dimension (DOI). In contrast, in small and medium business groups (group 2), the managerial (TOE) and technology (TRI) readiness of MSMEs influence the use of (DOI) and the benefits of the industrial era 4.0 (BOI).

Abstract

Peningkatan mobilitas penduduk dunia menjadikan penggunaan pesawat terbang sebagai alternatif transportasi yang sering digunakan masyarakat. Penggunaan pesawat terbang tidak lepas kaitannya dengan keselamatan dan keamanan penerbangan.  Negara yang memiliki standar tingkat keselamatan tinggi, sangat peka dan kritis terhadap masalah kecelakaan. Kecelakaan pesawat mendorong masyarakat untuk lebih memerhatikan keamanan dan keselamatan maskapai penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur pesawat dari suatu maskapai penerbangan terhadap jumlah kecelakaan. Maskapai yang diteliti berjumlah 202 maskapai penerbangan, dengan data diambil dari airlinesrating.com. Masing-masing maskapai penerbangan berasal dari negara yang berbeda-beda. Metode analisis Time Series–Causality Granger digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah umur pesawat memengaruhi jumlah kecelakaan. Uji tabulasi  silang  juga dilakukan  untuk  mengetahui  karakter  masing-masing  kategori  maskapai penerbangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan angka korelasi antara variabel umur pesawat dengan variabel tingkat kecelakaan pesawat adalah sebesar 0,009. Hal ini mengindikasikan tidak terjadi autokorelasi pada model regresi. Signifikansi model sebesar 0,017 menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara umur pesawat dengan tingkat kecelakaan. Hasil analisis tabulasi silang mengindikasikan dari tingkat keselamatan, tipe maskapai kategori regional memiliki tingkat keselamatan yang sama dengan maskapai kategori full-service dan kategori low-cost carrier memiliki nilai yang paling rendah dari ketiga kategori maskapai.

Abstract

Abstrak: UMKM Bebek Fitria memiliki penambahan ternak menyebabkan masalah kebutuhan pakan ternak yang besar serta kecepatan dalam proses pembersihan telur bebek. Area pemasaran masih sekitar kecamatan sehingga diperlukan ekspansi pasar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan produktivitas serta memperluas jangkauan pasar melalui penerapan inovasi teknologi mesin pencacah tanaman dan pembersih telur, serta Digital Marketing bagi mitra. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi dan evaluasi. Hasil PKM menunjukkan dari 5 pekerja mitra termasuk pemilik, berdasarkan hasil angket kuesioner pre-test dan post-test adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam menerapkan Digital Marketing sebesar 80%, fintech 50%, penggunaan mesin pembersih telur dan pencacah tanaman sebesar 75%. Selain itu, pkm ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dengan mesin pembersih telur yang sebelumnya diperlukan waktu 6 jam untuk membersihkan telur 200 butir menjadi 1440 butir, Adanya pencacah tanaman untuk pakan ternak mampu mengurangi biaya pakan sebesar Rp500.000,- per bulan serta potensi dampak keuntungan akibat adanya Digital Marketing akan meningkatkan keuntungan sebesar 6,94% dari proyeksi keuntungan perluasan pasar.Abstract: The Fitria Duck MSME has an increase in livestock, causing the problem of large animal feed needs and speed in the process of cleaning duck eggs. The marketing area is still around the sub-district so market expansion is needed. The purpose of this activity is to increase productivity and expand market reach through the application of technological innovations in plant choppers and egg cleaners, as well as Digital Marketing for partners. The implementation method in this activity is through socialization, training, application of technology and evaluation. The results of PKM show that from 5 partner workers including owners by questionnaire pre-test and post-test, there is an increase in partner knowledge and skills in implementing Digital Marketing by 80%, fintech by 50%, and the impact of using egg cleaning machines and plant chopping machines by 75%. In addition, this pkm has succeeded in increasing production capacity with an egg cleaning machine which previously took 6 hours to clean 200 eggs to 1440 eggs. The existence of a crop enumerator for animal feed is able to reduce feed costs by Rp500.000 per month and the potential profit impact due to Digital Marketing will increase profits by 6.94% from the projected profit of market expansion.
