Abstract

This study explores the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) as a decentralized storage solution aimed at reducing dependence on centralized cloud systems. The research analyzes how the integration of IPFS with blockchain and smart contracts can enhance data security, maintain data availability, and minimize censorship risks in digital environments. This topic is relevant because centralized storage still places control in a single point, creating vulnerabilities to cyberattacks, unauthorized access, and failures caused by system dependency. Although several studies have discussed IPFS in different contexts, there is a clear gap in the absence of a structured comparative explanation showing how IPFS, blockchain, and smart contracts operate together in decentralized data governance. Using a qualitative literature review from reputable academic sources, this study synthesizes existing findings into a clearer conceptual mapping. The novelty lies in the development of a comparative matrix that unifies previous technical insights, providing a more accessible understanding of how decentralized technologies support secure and censorship-resistant data ecosystems. The results indicate that IPFS preserves data authenticity through cryptographic hashing, improves data availability through distributed replication, and reduces censorship risks because access does not depend on a central authority. However, several challenges remain, including latency, uneven node distribution, and the difficulty of fully removing stored data. Overall, the study concludes that IPFS shows strong potential for future digital infrastructure, yet its adoption requires strategic planning, supportive policies, and gradual implementation to ensure sustainability and operational effectiveness across diverse technological environments.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the significant influence of regional geopolitical dynamics on the evolution of Islamic law, emphasizing the consequences of legal policies and reforms in the Middle East for non-Arab Muslim countries, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia. Using a qualitative research design and a comparative case study approach, the research is grounded in a constructivist-interpretivist framework and draws on in-depth interviews with scholars, policymakers, journalists, and observers of Islamic politics. Public discourse, policy, and legal documents are also thoroughly analyzed. The study reveals that the evolution of Islamic law is shaped by both international geopolitical tensions and domestic political factors, with distinct manifestations, including conservative theocratic, revolutionary, ideological, secular-pragmatic, and modernist approaches. Notably, geopolitical rivalries in the Middle East have exacerbated sectarian divisions in the Islamic legal discourse. While, the application of Islamic law outside the region is increasingly being integrated into constitutional and democratic frameworks. By addressing the intersection of Islamic law, politics, and geopolitics, this research advocates for promoting moderate Islamic constitutionalism, fostering transnational legal pluralism, and advocating for a more distinct separation between religious and political interests. The study contributes novel perspectives on how Islamic law adapts and evolves in response to contemporary global political shifts, offering critical insights for policymakers and scholars engaged with legal and political transformation in the Muslim world.

Abstract

Children's stunting is a significant public health issue that negatively impacts their growth and development. Dealing with stunting necessitates a comprehensive approach, including government efforts to address the issue via pertinent policies and laws. This study seeks to analyze the role of health law in efforts to eradicate stunting, with a particular focus on government action. The research method is normative legal research employing a qualitative approach by accumulating data through literature studies and analysis of documents pertaining to the treatment of stunting. Using an interpretive strategy, the collected data were analyzed to identify key issues regarding the function of health law in eradicating stunting. The results show that although Law No. 17 of 2023 provides a more integrative legal basis for the transformation of primary care, its effectiveness is still hampered by the less-than-imperative nature of the norms and the absence of firm sanctions for state officials who fail to meet nutrition service standards. Administrative barriers, such as weak cross-sectoral convergence, sectoral egos, and discrepancies in prevalence data, are key obstacles to implementation at the operational level. This study concludes that strengthening legal certainty through technical implementing regulations and simplifying budget bureaucracy is urgent. Its contribution lies in mapping regulatory gaps in the post-transition health law, while its limitations focus on normative analysis, which requires further empirical study in regions with low fiscal capacity.

Abstract

Learning difficulties in Islamic boarding schools remain a complex and persistent issue, particularly due to the integration of religious and general education systems, which create cognitive, emotional, and social challenges for students as they adapt to intensive learning environments. This study aims to examine the types of learning difficulties students experience, analyze the implementation of Islamic approaches to address these challenges, and evaluate the relationship between individual characteristics and the effectiveness of these interventions within the boarding school context. The research employed a qualitative case study design at Islamic Boarding School Syamsul’ulum, Sukabumi, Indonesia, using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, with data analyzed through thematic analysis and triangulation to ensure credibility and contextual validity. The findings reveal that learning difficulties are multidimensional, including cognitive barriers in understanding classical Islamic texts, weak memorization and retention, low intrinsic motivation, and emotional instability such as homesickness, while Islamic approaches such as moral guidance (mau’izhah hasanah), spiritual reinforcement, Qur’an-based contextual teaching, and ukhuwah culture function as structured psycho-spiritual interventions that enhance emotional regulation, resilience, and learning engagement. These findings imply that educational institutions, particularly Islamic boarding schools, should adopt an integrative educational model that aligns spiritual practices with students’ individual characteristics and adaptive instructional strategies to effectively address learning difficulties and improve both academic and character development outcomes.

Abstract

This research discusses the role played by actor networks in the process of formulating public policy. With the increasing complexity in the public policy environment, the role of actor networks becomes crucial in influencing and shaping the resulting policy direction. This research uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews and documentary analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that actor networks play a crucial role in the process of formulating public policy. These roles include the roles of subjects with high importance but low power, key players with high interest and power, other followers who represent group voices that may be less heard, and supporters who have power but low interest. However, the process of formulating public policy is faced with a number of challenges, including the complexity of organizational structures, conflicts of interest between actors, lack of resources, and resistance to change. To overcome these challenges, close collaboration between all parties involved, open communication, and wise management of differences and conflicts that arise is required. Through these efforts, the policy formulation process can become more inclusive, responsive and effective in meeting the needs of society as a whole.

Abstract

The phenomenon of low scientific literacy among early childhood learners, particularly in inclusive educational institutions, indicates a gap between policy and classroom practice. Children with special needs often experience limited access to adaptive science learning, even though scientific literacy skills are essential for developing reasoning and problem-solving abilities in daily life. This study aims to analyze teachers’ strategies for developing scientific literacy among children with special needs in inclusive early childhood education and to identify the challenges and solutions implemented by teachers at Ibnu Sina Islamic Kindergarten in Bandung Regency. The study employed a qualitative case study design, using in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and analysis of learning documents. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, with validity ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal that teachers applied differentiated instruction, interpersonal communication, and the use of visual media, simple technology, and the surrounding environment as a natural laboratory. Collaboration among classroom teachers, special education teachers, parents, and the principal emerged as a key factor for success. The main challenges included limited resources, pedagogical competence, and the lack of specialized training in scientific literacy for children with special needs. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of enhancing teacher training, strengthening systemic support, and fostering school–family partnerships to achieve sustainable, inclusive science education.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are important institutions for shaping students' (santri) political knowledge, especially among first-time voters. Democratic literacy is a key component in developing rational, critical, and responsible voters. Nevertheless, this relationship is still viewed in the narrow context of pesantren as a political weapon to mobilize an Islamic group, leading to a need for a deeper exploration of pesantren's educational role in democracy. Thus, this study seeks to examine the interplay between pesantren and Islamic politics in the context of democratic literacy education for first-time voters in West Java. This study is qualitative in nature and employs a case study method. These findings indicate that pesantren influences students' (santri) democratic literacy by instilling Islamic moral values, rational and critical political literacy, and maslahatan, or an understanding of the public interest. The influence of the kiai (Islamic clerics) is normative and ethical, but does not necessarily determine students' political preferences. As first-time voters, students show moderate and inclusive integration of Islamic values with democratic principles. This study shows that pesantrens are active contributors to generating first-time voters through democratic awareness, political responsibility, and a quality-of-democracy orientation.
