Abstract

Penilaian masyarakat terhadap pendidikan IPS sebagai mata pelajaran yang membosankan dan sulit dimengerti disebabkan oleh budaya mengajar yang didominasi oleh guru sebagai sumber segala informasi. Salah satu model pembelajaran untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah melalui Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Untuk itu, penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa baik aspek kognitif, aspek sikap dan aspek keterampilan melalui pelaksanaan tahapan-tahapan model pembelajaran Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dalam proses belajar mengajar pendidikan IPS. Temuan hasil penelitian bahwa, model pembelajaran Discovery Learning mampu mendorong guru mengajar dengan budaya bervariasi, sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran lebih didominasi oleh siswa. model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dalam membahas mata pelajaran IPS terpadu mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa baik dari aspek kognitif, aspek sikap dan aspek keterampilan. Melalui model pembelajaran Discovery Learning guru berperan sebagai motivator, fasilitator, dan mediator bagi siswa agar mau melakukan kegiatan belajar secara sungguh-sungguh. Melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning hasil belajar siswa memgalami peningkatan secara keseluruhan terutama kelompok siswa yang berprestasi rendah.

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat atau bahkan mengalami penurunan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Salah satu diantaranya adalah model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru. Siswa akan aktif dalam memecahkan masalah, serta mudah mengikuti pembelajaran apabila metode yang digunakan oleh guru dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai.Penelitian ini bertujuan: Untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif problem solving terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo Tahun Pembelajaran 2019/2020.Penelitian ini berlokasi di SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo, jumlah sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 orang. Untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket penelitian dengan jumlah 10 item variabel X (model pembelajaran problem solving) dan 10 item variabel Y (hasil belajar siswa) yang telah disusun berdasarkan kisi-kisi angket.Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan perolehan data maka diperoleh hasil uji regresi yaitu 0,95 yang artinya dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving memiliki pengaruh yang sangat tinggi dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Dari perhitungan koefisien determinasi sebesar 90,25%. Dan dari perhitungan hipotesis Thitung = 16,62> Ttabel = 1,697 yang artinya hipotesis Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari hasil penelitian ini penggunaan model pembelajaran problem solving memiliki pengaruh yang sangat tinggi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.Berdasarkan kesimpulan diatas maka peneliti memberikan saran, yaitu: 1) Hendaknya guru mata pelajaran IPS selalu menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solvingkepada siswa pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. 2) Hendaknya kepada guru mata pelajaran lain model problemsolving dapat digunakan untuk peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) To describe the level of emotional intelligence of students. 2) To describe the level of student motivation. 3) To see the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation of class students. This research uses correlational quantitative research. The population and sample of the study were all students of class VIII who may be 50 people. Based on the research results, it is obtained 1) The overall level of intelligence is in the medium category. 2) The total level of student motivation to learn is in the medium category. 3) the relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning motivation is H0 rejected and Ha accepted. It can be perfected that students with high emotional intelligence will also have higher levels of student motivation. The level of emotional intelligence of students, the level of student learning motivation is also getting lower. Based on this research, the researchers suggest that social studies teachers be more intensive in providing intelligence to increase students' intelligence and learning motivation in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBI) model and increase student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBI) model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The instruments used were (a) Teacher (Researcher) and Student Observation Sheet, (b) Interview Guide Sheet, (c) Documentation, (d) Field Notes, (e) Learning Outcomes Test. Research subjects, students of class IX SMP Negeri 3 Onolalu with a total of 20 students. The results of the research obtained indicate that the Instruction Problem Based Learning (PBI) model can improve student learning outcomes, especially in tube material. This is because applying the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model of students who are more active in learning, better understand the concept of material well, are able to solve social science problems, students' analytical power on social studies problems increases, they are more critical in solving problems and group learning is carried out. make students more open in conveying their ideas. Based on the results of this study, it can be denied that using the Problem Based Learning Instruction (PBI) model can improve student learning outcomes, especially in tube material. The Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Learning Model can be used as an alternative in improving student learning outcomes in social science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes after an innovative learning approach based on deep dialogue / critical thinking in Integrated Social Studies subjects with the material of the Indonesian economic system in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Toma. The instruments used were: (1) observation sheets, (2) test learning outcomes, (3) photo documentation. Learning outcome tests are used to see an increase in student learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were class VIII-A SMP Negeri 2 Toma. From the results of research with a learning approach based on deep dialogue / critical thinking, this can be seen in the research of each cycle. (1) the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle only reached 71, while in the second cycle the average student learning outcomes increased to 86.12. (2) The result of teacher observations in the first cycle of the first meeting was 75%. While at the second meeting it was 82.69%. In the second cycle the first meeting was 88.46%. While at the second meeting it was 96.15%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of innovative learning approaches based on deep dialogue / critical thinking can improve student learning outcomes in Integrated Social Studies subjects. For this reason, it suggests suggestions (1) The teacher who applies it applies the appropriate learning approach in accordance with the material being applied. (2) The teacher can master various learning approaches so that they can be applied during the learning process (3) Develop further research with a longer time planning so that the research results obtained are maximized and effective (4) the results of this study are used as a basis for development for research Furthermore.
