Abstract

Abstract: On-time graduation is an important indicator in measuring the success of higher education and reflects the effectiveness of the academic process in higher education. Royal University, especially the Information Systems Study Program, still faces challenges in increasing the percentage of students who graduate on time. This study aims to identify factors that influence students' on-time graduation and build a prediction model using the multiple linear regression method. This method was chosen because it is able to analyze the simultaneous influence of several independent numeric variables on one dependent variable, making it suitable for studying the complex relationship between factors that influence student graduation. The independent variables analyzed in this study include GPA, parental income, and student part-time jobs with student graduation as the dependent variable. The results showed that parental income and part-time jobs had a significant positive effect on on-time graduation, while GPA had a negative effect. The model built had an R² value of 0.6153 and a standard error of 4.0653, indicating that the model was quite strong and accurate. These findings recommend Universitas Royal to strengthen the academic monitoring system and support working students, as well as design policies based on students' socio-economic conditions to increase the on-time graduation rate.Keywords: multiple linear regression; on-time graduation; students.  Abstrak: Kelulusan tepat waktu merupakan indikator penting dalam mengukur keberhasilan pendidikan tinggi serta mencerminkan efektivitas proses akademik di perguruan tinggi. Universitas Royal, khususnya Program Studi Sistem Informasi, masih menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan persentase mahasiswa yang lulus tepat waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kelulusan tepat waktu mahasiswa serta membangun model prediksi menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda. Metode ini dipilih karena mampu menganalisis pengaruh simultan beberapa variabel independen numerik terhadap satu variabel dependen, sehingga sesuai untuk mengkaji hubungan kompleks antar faktor yang memengaruhi kelulusan mahasiswa. Variabel independen yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini meliputi IPK, penghasilan orangtua, dan pekerjaan sambilan mahasiswa dengan kelulusan mahasiswa sebagai variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penghasilan orangtua dan pekerjaan sambilan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kelulusan tepat waktu, sedangkan IPK justru memiliki pengaruh negatif. Model yang dibangun memiliki nilai R² sebesar 0,6153 dan standar error 4,0653, menandakan model cukup kuat dan akurat. Temuan ini merekomendasikan Universitas Royal untuk memperkuat sistem monitoring akademik dan mendukung mahasiswa yang bekerja, serta merancang kebijakan berbasis kondisi sosial-ekonomi mahasiswa guna meningkatkan angka kelulusan tepat waktu.Kata kunci: kelulusan tepat waktu; mahasiswa; regresi linear berganda.

Abstract

LKP Bintang Mulia Batu Bara is located in a coastal area which resulted in the guidance participants not being updated on technological advances in the education sector. Even though the times have been very advanced with one of the newest innovations, namely Machine Learning. Machine Learning in the field of education can provide a variety of learning options, so that students can find what is best for them, taking into account the differences of each individual student. Machine Learning can also be used to monitor learning processes that confuse students, so that Machine Learning in education runs in harmony with what students need. The purpose of doing this service is to broaden students' understanding of the role of Machine Learning in learning. This service was held on April 15, 2023, and the participants in this activity were 8 LKP guidance students. So the result of this dedication is that there are many roles that Machine Learning can play in learning, such as playing a role in learning content, the teaching process, giving assignments, the assessment process, and monitoring student learning progress. Keywords: education; learning; Machine LearningAbstrak:  LKP Bintang Mulia Batu Bara terletak di daerah pesisir pantai yang mengakibatkan para peserta bimbingan tidak update mengenai kemajuan teknologi di bidang pendidikan. Padahal perkembangan zaman sudah sangat maju dengan salah satu inovasi terbaru, yaitu Machine Learning. Machine Learning di bidang pendidikan dapat memberikan berbagai pilihan pembelajaran, sehingga siswa dapat menemukan apa yang terbaik bagi mereka, dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan tiap individu siswa. Machine Learning juga dapat digunakan untuk memonitoring proses pembelajaran yang membingungkan siswa, sehingga Machine Learning dalam pendidikan berjalan selaras dengan yang dibutuhkan siswa. Tujuan dilakukannya pengabdian ini ialah untuk memperluas pemahaman siswa mengenai peran Machine Learning dalam pembelajaran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 April 2023, dan yang menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan ini ialah para siswa-siswi bimbingan LKP yang berjumlah 8 orang. Maka hasil dari pengabdian ini ialah banyak peran yang dapat dilakukan Machine Learning dalam pembelajaran, seperti berperan dalam konten pembelajaran, proses pengajaran, pemberian tugas, proses penilaian, serta memantau kemajuan belajar para siswa.Kata kunci: Machine Learning; pembelajaran; pendidikan

Abstract

Abstract: The selection process for students of the National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) in the field of Pencak Silat at SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman is often faced with various challenges that affect objectivity and fairness in decision making. Assessments carried out directly by coaches tend to be non-objective, so that students who are sent to participate in the National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) are not alternately. Inaccuracy in selecting eligible students not only harms potential students, but can also reduce the school's chances of achieving success in the O2SN event. Therefore, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed that can help improve objectivity, accuracy, and efficiency in the selection process, so that it can produce more precise and fair decisions. The decision support system used is the MOORA method. This system is designed to assist schools in determining students who are eligible to represent the school in the O2SN competition based on several criteria such as age, weight, strength, technique (moves) and student attendance. These criteria are analyzed and weighted according to their level of importance. Furthermore, the MOORA method is applied to calculate and rank students. The results of this study indicate that the students selected to participate in O2SN Pencak Silat are Joko Satrio and Wisnu Ramadan with optimization values of 0.339 and 0.281.Keywords: moora; o2sn;  student selection; decision support systemAbstrak: Proses seleksi siswa Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional (O2SN) di bidang Pencak Silat di SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman sering kali dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan yang mempengaruhi objektivitas dan keadilan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penilaian yang dilakukan secara langsung oleh pelatih cenderung bersifat tidak objektif, sehingga siswa yang dikirimkan untuk mengikuti Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional (O2SN) tidak secara bergantian. Ketidaktepatan dalam pemilihan siswa yang layak tidak hanya merugikan siswa yang berpotensi, tetapi juga dapat mengurangi peluang sekolah untuk meraih prestasi di ajang O2SN. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang dapat membantu meningkatkan objektivitas, akurasi, dan efisiensi dalam proses seleksi, sehingga mampu menghasilkan keputusan yang lebih tepat dan adil. Sistem pendukung keputusan yang digunakan adalah dengan metode MOORA. Sistem ini dirancang untuk membantu pihak sekolah dalam menentukan siswa-siswa yang layak mewakili sekolah pada kompetisi O2SN berdasarkan beberapa kriteria seperti usia, berat badan, kekuatan, teknik (jurus) dan kehadiran siswa. Kriteria-kriteria tersebut dianalisis dan diberikan bobot sesuai dengan tingkat kepentingannya. Selanjutnya, metode MOORA diterapkan untuk melakukan perhitungan dan pemeringkatan siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang terpilih mengikuti O2SN Pencak Silat adalah Joko Satrio dan Wisnu Ramadan dengan nilai optimasi sebesar 0,339 dan 0,281.Kata Kunci: moora; o2sn; seleksi siswa; sistem pendukung keputusan

Abstract

Abstract: Student satisfaction with teacher performance plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education. Teacher performance evaluation is necessary to understand how well teaching meets student expectations. This study evaluates student satisfaction with teacher performance at MAS Alwashliyah Petatal using the COmplex PRoportional ASsessment (COPRAS) method, which effectively handles multi-criteria comparisons objectively. Data were collected through questionnaires completed by 66 out of 209 students (31.58% response rate), assessing 16 teachers based on four competency aspects: pedagogical, personality, social, and professional, with 12 sub-criteria. Despite the low participation rate, the data remained representative based on response distribution analysis. The results indicate that the COPRAS method accurately ranks teacher performance, with teacher Lia Novia, S.Pd achieving the highest satisfaction score (100%). These findings can be integrated into school policies, such as annual teacher evaluations and teacher development programs. The implementation of this evaluation system can also serve as a basis for designing teacher training that better aligns with student needs. Thus, the COPRAS method not only helps schools assess teacher performance more objectively but also supports more effective decision-making to enhance teaching quality and overall student satisfaction.            Keywords: COPRAS; evaluation; decision support system, student satisfaction; teacher performance Abstrak: Kepuasan siswa terhadap kinerja guru berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Evaluasi kinerja guru diperlukan untuk memahami sejauh mana pengajaran memenuhi harapan siswa. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi tingkat kepuasan siswa terhadap kinerja guru di MAS Alwashliyah Petatal menggunakan metode COmplex PRoportional ASsessment (COPRAS), yang mampu menangani perbandingan multi-kriteria secara objektif. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang diisi oleh 66 dari 209 siswa (tingkat respons 31,58%), menilai 16 guru berdasarkan empat aspek kompetensi, yaitu pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional, dengan 12 sub-kriteria. Meskipun partisipasi rendah, data tetap representatif berdasarkan analisis distribusi jawaban. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode COPRAS memberikan pemeringkatan kinerja guru secara akurat, di mana guru Lia Novia, S.Pd memperoleh nilai kepuasan tertinggi (100%). Hasil ini dapat diintegrasikan dalam kebijakan sekolah, seperti evaluasi tahunan guru dan program pengembangan tenaga pendidik. Implementasi sistem evaluasi ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai dasar penyusunan pelatihan guru yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Dengan demikian, metode COPRAS tidak hanya membantu sekolah dalam menilai kinerja guru secara lebih objektif tetapi juga mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih tepat untuk meningkatkan mutu pengajaran dan kepuasan siswa.Kata kunci: COPRAS; evaluasi; kepuasan siswa; kinerja guru; sistem pendukung keputusan

Abstract

The use of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) has caused a lot of controversy because people think that overuse of MSG may have adverse effects on health. Prolonged consumption of MSG and excessive amounts can cause an imbalance between antioxidants that will disrupt liver function characterised byeinicreased lievelseoif !iSer.um Gliutamic Oxialoacetic Train.saminasee (Si.G.OT) and Seirum Gilutamic PyiruvateeTra.nsiaminasee (SiG.PT) in the bloodstream. The negative effects of MSG can be prevented by reducing MSG consumption and utilising herbal plants such as senduduk leaves. This experiment wants to measure the effect of senduduk le.af e.xtract o.n the number o.f S.GPT and SGOT due to MSG. This study used experimental research for 14 days with 20 male white rats with 5 treatment groups. K- without treatment. K+ was given MSG 100 mg/kgBW (morning), P1, P2, and P3 were given MSG 100 m!g/kgBW (morning) and senduduk leaf extract (P1 = 150, P2 = 200, P3 = 250 m.gi./ .k.g BiW) (afternoon). Theestages inethisestudy include phytochemical screening, observation of hepatic morphology and observation of SGPT and SGOT levels. Blood collection through the orbital sinus. Data analysis used o.neewi.ay anio.va ain.d diu.ncan'sef.ur.th.er t.esit. The optimal dose to improve the amount of SGPT and SGOT due to MSG induction is group P3 wiith a d.os.eeoif 250 m.gi./ .kig BiW.

Abstract

This study was conducted to compare the performance of the SpaCy Named Entity Recognition (NER) model and the Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT) model in identifying the distribution of Bernadya fans based on the mention of Geo-Political Entity (GPE) locations. The dataset used was collected from X users' tweets using a scraping method with Python and will be analyzed on both NER models. The SpaCy NER model will be built from scratch with manual annotation, while the BERT model will be built using the transforms approach. From the evaluation results, the SpaCy model achieved a precision of 1.00, a recall of 0.92, and an F1-score of 0.96 on the training data, as well as a recall of 0.98 and an F1-score of 0.99 on the test data. The BERT model recorded a precision of 1.00, a recall of 0.95 (training), and 1.00 (testing), with an F1-score of 0.98 and 1.00. The Spacy model can recognize more than two entities well in one test sentence. However, when tested with the entire dataset, it cannot consistently recognize GPE entities. Conversely, the BERT model is better at recognizing GPE entities, with 4 GPE entities identified, including: Karanganyar, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Bandung as regions capable of identifying GPE entities with the most mentions. Therefore, in this study, the BERT model is better at recognizing GPE entities from the dataset used.

Abstract

Utama Aluminium is a business engaged in the sale of glass cabinets. The problem faced in the operational activities of this business is irregularity in the management of raw material supplies. This condition is caused by inconsistency in supply from suppliers, which results in stock shortages and delays in orders, and on the other hand, there have also been instances of excess raw materials. The purpose of this study is to design a raw material inventory management application system for the glass cabinet production process, in order to optimize the management of raw material inventory, which has been a challenge in production activities at Utama Aluminium. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, with a case study approach at the company concerned. The results of implementing a web-based supply chain management (SCM) system showed a significant increase in efficiency: process time decreased by up to 40% through system automation and integration, operational costs were reduced by up to 25% due to labor efficiency and a decrease in error rates, stock accuracy increased to 95% with supplies matching demand, lead time was reduced by an average of 2 days, and the number of product returns decreased by up to 30% thanks to more accurate data information. This research can help the MSME sector improve distribution efficiency and inventory accuracy.

Abstract

Abstrak: The selection of housing is a critical decision that involves the consideration of multiple criteria objectively. In Kisaran City, the rapid growth of the property sector has led to a wide variety of housing options, each with distinct characteristics, making it difficult for potential buyers to determine the most suitable choice. This study aims to apply the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method to support the decision-making process for selecting the best housing based on five main criteria: location, price, security, public facilities, and environment. Each criterion is analyzed quantitatively through the assignment of weights and scores to each housing alternative. The WASPAS method generates a final ranking, where the alternative with the highest score is considered the optimal choice. The results show that the WASPAS method is effective in simplifying the multi-criteria decision-making process and provides accurate and rational recommendations for selecting housing that best meets the needs of the community. This study is expected to serve as a reference for prospective buyers and property developers in planning and marketing strategies. Abstrack: Pemilihan perumahan merupakan keputusan penting yang memerlukan pertimbangan berbagai kriteria secara objektif. Di Kota Kisaran, pertumbuhan pesat di sektor properti menghadirkan beragam pilihan perumahan dengan karakteristik yang berbeda, sehingga calon pembeli sering kali kesulitan dalam menentukan pilihan yang paling sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) dalam membantu proses pengambilan keputusan pemilihan perumahan terbaik berdasarkan lima kriteria utama, yaitu lokasi, harga, keamanan, fasilitas umum, dan lingkungan. Setiap kriteria dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pemberian bobot dan penilaian terhadap masing-masing alternatif perumahan. Hasil dari metode WASPAS menghasilkan peringkat akhir dari alternatif perumahan yang dianalisis, di mana alternatif dengan nilai tertinggi dianggap sebagai pilihan terbaik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode WASPAS efektif dalam menyederhanakan proses pengambilan keputusan multikriteria dan memberikan hasil yang akurat dan rasional dalam memilih perumahan yang paling sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi calon pembeli maupun pengembang dalam perencanaan dan strategi pemasaran properti.
