Abstract

Sexual violence, which includes actions that demean or attack an individual's body and reproductive functions, causes profound physical and psychological suffering and hinders victims' access to education and healthcare. Ideally, restitution aims to compensate victims for both material and immaterial losses, as stipulated in Law No. 31 of 2014, Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2022, and Law No. 12 of 2022. However, in practice, many restitution cases are not effectively implemented due to the financial incapacity of the perpetrators. This study uses a juridical-empirical method to evaluate the restitution mechanism at the LPSK Representative Office in Medan and assess the restitution system from the perspectives of Criminal Law and Islamic Criminal Law. The research findings indicate that from the perspective of Criminal Law, the restitution system faces major challenges due to the inability of perpetrators to meet their payment obligations, despite adequate regulations and procedures. From the perspective of Islamic Criminal Law, the restoration of victims' rights, known as mahr mitsil or diyat, offers a restorative approach that can complement the restitution system by emphasizing the perpetrator's responsibility to fairly compensate for the losses. This study highlights the need for adjustments in the restitution procedure and detailed evaluation of the perpetrators' financial capacity to enhance the effectiveness of the restitution system.

Abstract

Local language as a cultural treasure is very different from the sociolinguistic perspective. Culture positions local languages as wealth and relics of human creativity and karsa in the past which are very meaningful and must be maintained and preserved. When correlated with the nature of culture, of course, local languages are included in a dynamic culture which means that they will experience language deconstruction and/or reconstruction. It is impossible if the language does not accept a concept or vocabulary from another language. This means that the language will experience development both in terms of the vocabulary it has or the concept and its use. The use of language must be positioned not only as a tool for communication but as a cultural result that must be maintained and preserved. This paper tries to explain how local language preservation occurs in Indonesia in the realm of culture and sociolinguistics.

Abstract

The limited availability of learning media capable of facilitating students’ understanding of abstract concepts in chemical bonding prompted this research. This study aims to determine the validity level of the developed interactive multimedia and to assess teachers’ and students’ responses toward its use. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using a modified ADDIE model, limited to the development stage. The trial subjects consisted of two chemistry teachers and 9 students for the small-scale test, as well as 30 students from grade XI at SMAN 2 Sekadau for the large-scale test. The validation results from experts indicated that the interactive multimedia was highly valid with an average percentage of 94.17%, consisting of 88.33% for the media aspect, 96.25% for the material and language aspects, and 97.92% for the assessment aspect. Student responses reached an average of 90.69% in the small-scale test and 94.53% in the large-scale test, while teacher responses reached 83.07%.The novelty of this research lies in the use of interactive multimedia equipped with a variety of engaging features, such as ice-breaking activities and educational games, which are rarely implemented in chemical bonding learning at the senior high school level. Therefore, the developed interactive multimedia can be used as a learning medium and further tested for its effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of counter-radicalization policies through online media by the Directorate of Security Intelligence, Central Sulawesi Regional Police. The research is motivated by the increasing spread of radical ideologies through digital platforms utilized by extremist groups such as Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT). Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, the research explores the effectiveness, challenges, and strategies of implementing counter-radicalization policies within Ditintelkam Polda Central Sulawesi. The analysis is based on George C. Edwards III’s policy implementation theory, which emphasizes four key variables: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Supporting frameworks include the Policy Network, Change Management, and Evidence-Based Policy theories. The findings reveal that the implementation of counter-radicalization policies through online media remains suboptimal due to limited inter-agency coordination, insufficient digital human resources, and low community engagement. Nevertheless, ongoing efforts to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and enhance the digital capacity of security officers indicate positive progress toward more effective policy outcomes. This research contributes both academically and practically to the development of digital-based counter-radicalization strategies in Indonesia.

This disease counseling provides general information on preventing HIV AIDS with the hope that sufferers will continue to live socially well, improve their quality of life and prevent new cases and improve continuous treatment services for sufferers. Counseling with lecture, discussion and question and answer methods by both sufferers and the general public, prevents unpleasant stigma and discrimination in society against HIV AIDS sufferers, the results of this activity found that 80% of respondents knew about HIV/AIDS and 20% of respondents did not know, therefore this counseling provides information to the public that what should be avoided is the disease, not the sufferer.

Abstract

Wages are the rights of workers/laborers that are received and expressed in the form of money as compensation for a job. The context of taking wages in this research is a volunteer who finds a blood donor for a recipient in need, and from the results of his work the volunteer takes his wages from the donor as a form of remuneration for the results of his work. This statement raises the question of what the Maqashid Sharia views on the law of taking wages from blood donor providers. The purpose of this research is to find out the law on taking wages from blood donor providers using Maqoshid sharia. The research method used in this research is an empirical juridical research method, in this case the researcher conducted interviews which were carried out around the Seivani Hospital on Jl. Prof. M. Yamin No. 17, Rambutan District, Tebing Tinggi City. The research results obtained by Maqasid syari'ah mean the purpose of Allah and His Messenger in formulating Islamic laws. Taking and receiving wages is included in muamalah. however, based on the maqashid of the sharia, it can refer to the provisions of dharuriyat al khams, namely Al-Din (Maintaining Religion), Al Nafs (Maintaining Mental Health), Al-Aql (Maintaining Intellect), Al-Nasb (Guarding offspring) and Al-Mal (Guarding Property). In this research, what is emphasized more is referring to hifz al mal (maintenance of property). The concept of hifz al malIf this is related to the issue of determining and receiving wages from work results, there must be no elements that can eliminate workers' rights without reasons that are not justified by law, both positive law and sharia law. Because if If this is done, part of the volunteer's rights which he should have obtained from the results of the work he has done will be lost.
