Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PPKn teaching materials based on Blended Learning (BL). This study uses the RnD (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model. The population of this study was the fourth-semester students of the PGMI IAIN Padangsidimpuan Study Program. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, so the sample is 35 students. Data collection techniques using Google Form-assisted questionnaires, Kahoot-assisted learning outcomes tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistics assisted by STATCAL and EAVIS software. The research results show that PPKn-based teaching material design is excellent and has a good level of validation based on expert judgment. The level of effectiveness is also excellent, seen from student learning outcomes with the average value of PPKn MI/SD Low-Class courses on the pre-test is 64.7143; post-test I (meeting I) was 74.5714; post-test II (meeting I) was 79.5714; post-test II (meeting I) was 83; post-test II (meeting II) was 88.

Abstract

Education is capable to develop a country. One of the techniques is by using appropriate teaching material. In addition, the using of teaching material ought to appropriate with particular topic. Teaching material also ought to arranged sistematically in order to create the fun learning atmosphere. Horsley, Knight, dan Huntly, (2010: 45) state a good quality of teaching material has substansial contribution to students quality in learning experience and outcome. Teaching material conveys electronic and non-electronic that contain the information to gain student’s knowledge due to reaching the learning objectives. (Sitepu, 2014:183). Comic is  one of efective teaching material that is used in scholl especially in Elementary school. It is suggested because comic contain pictures and stories with characteristic that able to build students’ character. Consequently, teaching material through comic has significant role in improving student’s ability and education quality in Elementary School

Abstract

The learning process is the key to student learning success. So that the learning process can be carried out properly, choose the suitable learning model. This is because the learning model is a design pattern aiming to achieve learning and student outcomes and get excellent grades. The research aimed to improve students' Pancasila and Civic Education outcomes in spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills by applying the EBA learning model to ethnic, social, and cultural diversity in Indonesia, bound by unity. The research subjects were 30 students of class IV-Zaid SD IT Nurul 'Ilmi Padang Sidempuan. This study used Kurt Lewin's classroom action research method with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection in 2 cycles. Data was collected in the form of tests, observations, and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study proved that students experienced an increase in their learning. Before applying the EBA learning model, the average proportion of students' classical Pancasila and Civic Education outcomes obtained a score of 33.33%. After being applied to the first cycle it was 56.66%, and in the second cycle it was 83.33%.
