Abstract

This research develops an online frequency distribution application using the Javascript-based Blogger platform. The method used is a literature study, namely examining the frequency distribution of both the formulas used and descriptions in the Javascript programming language using mathematical logic. Online frequency distributions are essential for analyzing data, and by utilizing Javascript capabilities, this application allows users to easily input data and automatically generate informative frequency distributions. This article will discuss the technical implementation, including the use of the Javascript programming language and its integration with the Blogger platform for online content creation. The results of this research contribute to the development of statistical applications that are easy to use and access online, thereby helping users understand and analyze their data more effectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe HOTS problem solving skills for high school students through the use of the 2nd Tier Diagnostic. The research is conducted using the descriptive qualitative method. SMAN Balung MIPA 4 Research subjects at Jember Regency Data Collection Techniques in the form of Written Test Questions and Semi-Structured Interviews Data on Problem Solving Skills using 5 Stages Krulick & Rudnick Stages Read and Think, Explore and plan, select a strategy, Find and Answer, Reflect and Extend. The Two Tier Diagnosis Method is composed of two stages. First, students write down how they get the answers, and second, they write down the reasons why they choose that method. The study showed that students with high mathematical problems solving skills were able to write mathematical symbols well, even write answers consistently, and write the final solution along with the question. Students with moderate abilities were unable to write the mathematical symbols well, and even wrote the stages of completion incorrectly, resulting in the majority of the final answers being wrong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menghitung luas segitiga menggunakan pendekatan aljabar melalui penerapan game interaktif berbasis HTML. Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMP masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep luas segitiga, khususnya jika disajikan dalam bentuk aljabar dan soal kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di kelas VII A SMP N 7 Jember dengan jumlah 26 siswa. Media pembelajaran berupa game HTML dilengkapi fitur timer dan tombol acak soal, serta digunakan dalam penentuan ketua kelompok secara interaktif. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, dan observasi aktivitas siswa menggunakan lembar observasi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan: rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 58 (pretest) menjadi 72 (posttest siklus I), dan 85 (posttest siklus II), serta persentase ketuntasan naik dari 31% menjadi 92%. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, antusias, dan mampu memahami serta menerapkan konsep aljabar dalam konteks geometri.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is an important foundation in mathematics learning. This study aims to describe the application of social and emotional values ​​in mathematics learning and its impact on students’ conceptual understanding. The method used is descriptive qualitative with subjects of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Jember. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of student worksheets. The results of the study indicate that the integration of values ​​such as empathy, cooperation, and open communication can create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. This has an impact on increasing student participation, self-confidence, and the ability to understand and explain mathematical concepts in a more structured manner. Thus, the social-emotional approach has been proven to strengthen the effectiveness of mathematics learning and become an alternative learning strategy that is humanistic and meaningful.

Abstract

Latar Belakang program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah belum meratanya pengetahuan dan praktik penggunaan AI (Artificial Intelligence) di sekolah SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Rambipuji Jember. Tujuan program ini mendapatkan pengetahuan dalam membuat media pembelajaran menarik dengan menggunakan AI dan menggunakan AI dalam membuat media pembelajaran, seperti: video pembelajaran, slide presentasi, hiburan, dan lain-lain. Metode yang digunakan adalah program penyediaan buku panduan praktik dalam mempraktekkan AI sebagai tutor cerdas. Target luaran yang akan dihasilkan adalah mengenal atau memiliki pengetahuan lebih dan media pembelajaran berbasis AI. Hasil dari program ini diantaranya: Guru-guru SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Rambipuji dapat memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis AI. Kesimpulan, program ini berhasil mencapai tujuan dengan memberikan dampak positif bagi guru-guru dalam penggunaan AI dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital, khususnya Augmented Reality (AR), telah mengubah dunia pendidikan dengan menawarkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif. AR berpotensi mengatasi tantangan konsep abstrak dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui visualisasi yang menarik. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AR dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan hasil belajar siswa, meskipun implementasinya di sekolah masih menghadapi kendala seperti infrastruktur dan kesiapan guru. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis AR dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan metode systematic literature review (SLR) terhadap 20 artikel dari tahun 2021 hingga 2025. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa AR efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa, terutama dalam geometri dan aljabar, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Kesimpulan dari kajian ini menegaskan bahwa AR tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil belajar, tetapi juga memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep matematika yang kompleks. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi peneliti dan pendidik dalam memanfaatkan AR secara optimal dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to develop educational game-based learning media Baamboozle on the material of circles integrated with the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) to improve the quality of mathematics learning in SMA Negeri 5 Jember. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data collection techniques are carried out through material and media validation questionnaires by experts and practicality tests by students. Data analysis is carried out using a mixed methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data. The results of the study showed that the Baamboozle media was very valid based on the validation of material experts (90%) and media expert validation (90%), and very practical based on the practicality test by students (89%). This media has been proven to be able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere, increase student collaboration, and facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts, especially on the material of circles. Thus, this learning media is considered feasible to be implemented in the learning process and can be used as an innovative alternative in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a flipbook-based e-module integrated with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to enhance high school students' mathematical communication skills in scatter plot material. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Plomp model, the study consisted of three stages: preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The subjects were 11th-grade students (class XI.4) at SMAN 5 Jember. Validation results from experts showed that the e-module was highly valid, with a score of 88.75%. Practicality tests via teacher and student questionnaires yielded an average score of 90%, indicating that the module is highly practical for classroom use. Effectiveness was measured by comparing pretest and posttest scores, revealing an average N-Gain of 0.54 (moderate category). The findings demonstrate that the developed PBL-based flipbook e-module is feasible, practical, and effective for implementation in learning, significantly improving students' mathematical communication skills.
