Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kemampuan rendah menurut teori wankat dan oreovocz ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dari kelas tersebut diambil siswa kategori kemanmpuan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa perempuan dan siswa laki-laki, keduanya berada pada kategori rendah. Keduanya memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang setara dapat dikatakan keduanya masih belum memenuhi 3 tahapan pemecahan masalah menurut Wankart dan Oreovocz yaitu mengerjakan,mengecek kembali dan generalisasi. Keduanya hanya memenuhi 4 tahapan pemecahan masalah yaitu saya mampu atau bisa, mendefinisikan, mengeksplorasi, dan merencanakan. Sehingga berdasarkan penelitian ini diketahui bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengerjaan siswa pada saat dihadapkan kesuatu permasalahan. Guru diharapkan dalam proses pembelajaran lebih sering memberikan soal pemecahan masalah agar dapat mengasah kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, dan setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dalam mengerjakan permasalahan, termasuk dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah

Abstract

This study research to enhance students' critical thinking skills through formative tests in the form of mathematical problem-solving. This study employs a 3D development model, including define, design, and develop stages. The research was conducted by preparing formative test questions, having them validated by subject matter experts, and then testing them on the VIII A grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Glenmore. The testing was carried out in two stages: small group and large group. The small group consisted of 10 students, while the large group comprised 32 students. The research findings show that the validation stage received 88.33% from validator 1, and 81.67% from validator 2. Both scores from the validators met the criteria of being highly suitable for testing. During the trials, the teacher's response scored 90% with a category of strongly agree, and the students' response scored 90% as well with the same category. In the small group trial, the students' response score was 80.75%, and in the large group, it was 81.48%, both achieving the strongly agree criterion. Therefore, the developed product is highly appropriate for use.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a product in the form of LKPD based on character education and Islamic values ​​which will help students more easily understand the content of the material. The method used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) development method with the 4D development model. The results of this research are reviewed from the validity and practicality of the product. Product validity is obtained from the average score given by 3 validators on the validation questionnaire of 83.38 and is included in the interval > 80 and is categorized as very valid. Meanwhile, product practicality was obtained from the average score given by respondents through a small-scale trial stage with a total of 6 respondents who obtained a score of 66.2 and fell into the interval 60 - 79 and were categorized as practical. Meanwhile, a large-scale trial with 31 respondents obtained a score of 81 and was included in the interval > 80 and was categorized as very practical. Based on this, it can be concluded that the product that has been developed by researchers in the form of LKPD is very valid, very practical, and in accordance with students' needs

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan dunia teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah berpengaruh besar dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satunya yang terkenal yaitu blogger kini telah menjadi sumber belajar alternatif. Perkembangan blogger begitu pesat membuka peluang dan jalan baru dalam mengerjakan banyak hal, termasuk untuk mengembangkan dunia pendidikan. Peneliti melakukan pengembangan media pembelajaran Matematika berbasis web menggunkan BlogMath (Blogger & MathJax) guna untuk penyajian media pembelajaran lebih interaktif dan praktis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian pengembangan menurut Gall dan Brog (Jenis penelitian Expositori pengembangan product), dengan metode pengumpulan data studi literatur, interview, dan data angket. Penelitian ini melibatkan responden dari siswa, guru, dan designer. Analisis yang digunakan dalam peneletian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif.Kata kunci. Abstract

Conceptual understanding is an important foundation in mathematics learning. This study aims to describe the application of social and emotional values ​​in mathematics learning and its impact on students’ conceptual understanding. The method used is descriptive qualitative with subjects of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Jember. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of student worksheets. The results of the study indicate that the integration of values ​​such as empathy, cooperation, and open communication can create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. This has an impact on increasing student participation, self-confidence, and the ability to understand and explain mathematical concepts in a more structured manner. Thus, the social-emotional approach has been proven to strengthen the effectiveness of mathematics learning and become an alternative learning strategy that is humanistic and meaningful.

Abstract

Matematika tidak hanya hadir dalam ruang kelas, tetapi juga melekat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat melalui aktivitas budaya, salah satunya dalam seni tari. Pendekatan etnomatematika menjadi cara untuk mengungkap keberadaan konsep-konsep matematika yang tersembunyi dalam praktik budaya lokal. Salah satu wujud konkret dari integrasi antara budaya dan matematika dapat ditemukan dalam Tari Lukat, sebuah karya seni kontemporer yang terinspirasi dari ritual tradisional Seblang Olehsari di Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui etnomatematika pada Tari Lukat karya komunitas seni Damar Art Banyuwangi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.  Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sementara keabsahan datanya diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat konsep matematika pada Tari Lukat, yaitu bangun datar (segi lima, segitiga, persegi panjang, dan lingkaran), bangun ruang (setengah bola dan bola), bilangan ganjil, sudut lancip, sudut tumpul, sudut lurus, garis horizontal, serta transformasi geometri (refleksi). Selain sebagai struktur fungsional, bentuk-bentuk ini memiliki makna filosofis, yaitu solidaritas, kekuatan, penghormatan, syukur, kebanggaan, dan spiritual lainnya. Abstract

This purpose of this study was to investigate how well a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by interactive Student Worksheets (LKPD) affected the tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Jember’s capacity for mathematical logical thought when studying quadratic equations. The experimental class received a PBL implementation based on interactive LKPD, whereas the control group received traditional instruction. According to the post-test analysis result, the experimental class student’s average score of 87,78 on the mathematical logical thinking ability exam was considerably higher than the control class's score of 74,36. According to the findings of the homogeneity test, tcalculated>ttable with a value of 4.84 > 1.99. Additionally, the experimental class outperformed the control class in the logical thinking indicators, with an overall average of 81.86% in the very high category and 65.03% in the high category. The results support the idea that students’ mathematical logical thinking skill can be enhanced by the use of interactive student worksheets (LKPD) in conjunction with the problem based learning (PBL) approach.

Abstract

Studi mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan gabungan antara model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) dan pendekatan Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) memberikan hasil yang efektif, terjadi peningkatan dalam performa belajar siswa. Evaluasi melalui tes diagnostik kognitif mengungkapkan adanya kesenjangan yang nyata antara siswa dengan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi, jika dibandingkan dengan peserta yang pemahamannya terbatas. Perbedaan kemampuan kognitif ini terlihat jelas dan bermakna secara statistik. Hasil observasi terkait budaya belajar siswa ditemukan siswa yang tidak aktif dan tidak memiliki inisiatif mencari tahu mengenai konsep yang masih belum dikuasai, siswa dapat bertanya kepada guru atau teman yang sudah mengerti. Ini menyebabkan hasil belajar yang tidak optimal. Peneliti melakukan tahap merancang, melaksanakan, mengamati, dan merefleksikan di siklus I. Berdasarkan hasil tes diagnostik, siswa diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kelompok: tinggi, menengah, dan rendah. Kelompok-kelompok ini, siswa dibagi secara homogen dalam satu kelompok, dengan guru memberikan pendampingan lebih pada kelompok sedang dan rendah. Nilai asesmen siswa naik pada Siklus I, dengan 67% melampaui batas ketuntasan belajar. Setelah penyesuaian modul ajar berdasarkan temuan pada siklus pertama, pelaksanaan siklus kedua memperlihatkan nilai yang meningkat. Sebanyak 86% siswa berhasil mencapai nilai di atas kriteria ketuntasan belajar. Temuan ini membuktikan efektivitas keterpaduan model PBL dengan pendekatan TaRL dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process and results of developing an ethnomathematics-based e-module on Jember batik motifs for high school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the research model used is the ADDIE research and development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets, student response questionnaire sheets and question sheets. The trial subjects in this study were limited to 6 students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri Pakusari, while for the large scale trial, the remaining limited scale trials were from students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri Pakusari. The data analysis techniques used are product validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the ethnomathematics-based e-module on Jember batik motifs for high school students has met three categories of product quality assessment, namely validity, effectiveness, and practicality and can be declared successful or feasible to use. Thus, the product can be useful as a learning resource and to facilitate students in learning mathematics and culture

Abstract

The domination number is the number of dominating nodes in a graph that can dominate the surrounding connected nodes with a minimum number of dominating nodes. This domini number is denoted by γ(G). In this research, we will examine the domination number of the distance between two graphs resulting from the shackle operation with any graph as linkage. This differs from previous research, namely the domination of numbers at one and two distances. This study emphasizes how the results of operations on the shackle are connected to the shackle graph as any graph connects the copy. Any graph here means all graphs are connected and generally accepted. The method used in this research is pattern recognition and axiomatic deductive methods. The pattern detection method examines patterns where a graph's number of dominating points can dominate the connected points around it with a minimum number of dominating nodes. Meanwhile, axiomatic deductive is a research method that uses the principles of deductive proof that apply to mathematical logic by using existing axioms or theorems to solve a problem. The Result of graph S_n with t copies and S_m as linkage, then the two-distance domination number in the graph resulting from the shackle operation is γ_2 (Shack(S_n,S_m,t) )=t-1; graph S_n with t copies and C_m as linkage, then the two-distance domination number in the graph resulting from the shackle operation is γ_2 (Shack(S_n,C_m,t) )={■(t,for 3≤m≤6@⌈n/5⌉(t-1),for m≥7)┤; graph C_n with t copies and S_m as linkage, then the two-distance domination number in the graph resulting from the shackle operation isγ_2 (Shack(C_n,S_m,t) )={■(t-1,for n=3@t,for 4≤n≤5@⌈n/5⌉t,for n≥6)┤ This research provides benefits and adds to research results in the field of graph theory specialization of two-distance domination numbers in the result graph of shackle operation with linkage any graph.
