Abstract

Mitra yang terlibat dalam kerjasama pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mitra dengan kategori kelompok masyarakat non produktif (masyarakat umum) yaitu Pemerintah desa Pagelaran dengan sasaran, meliputi kader posyandu, pondok pesantren dan karang taruna. Pondok pesantren yang akan menjadi bagian dari kegiatan adalah Pondok Pesantren Jam’iyyatul Mubtadi Tsani. Secara historis Pondok Pesantren Jam’iyyatul Mubtadi Tsani Kp. Simpang POM Desa cilangkahan Kecamatan Malingping Kabupaten Lebak-Banten, telah memberikan kontribusi yang cukup besar dalam dunia pendidikan untuk skala Kabupaten Lebak, sehingga berpotensi besar untuk dilibatkan sebagai kader dari kegiatan ini. Berdasarkan permasalahan mitra yang ada saat ini, solusi yang ditawarkan untuk pemecahannya adalah dengan pola pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat terintegrasi yang melibatkan karang taruna, kader posyandu, dan santri/santriwati pondok pesantren untuk mewujudkan desa sehat dan mandiri secara ekonomi. Pendekatan pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat terintegrasi ini dipilih karena melihat prioritas masalah yang lintas sektoral baik itu pada bidang kesehatan, wirausaha dan akses informasi terhadap kesehatan dan gizi. Solusi yang akan diterapkan adalah pelatihan emo demo, pelatihan pengukuran status gizi serta penyuluhan gizi dan kesehatan, penyuluhan standar produksi pangan yang halal dan thoyyib, serta pembuatan media edukasi berupa video. Kegiatan diselenggarakan selama 8 bulan dengan luaran berupa artikel jurnal, publikasi pada media massa. Program pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Pagelaran ini telah dilaksanakan dengan menjalankan program terkait edukasi, yaitu edukasi mengenai pengukuran serta edukasi antropometri dan anemia untuk santri dan santriwati di Pondok Pesantren, edukasi halal untuk karang taruna dan UMKM, serta emo demo untuk Ibu Kader Posyandu. Dari ke-3 kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat dilihat dari hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dari 3 kelompok sasaran. Kemudian ke-3 kelompok sasaran pada saat diberikannya edukasi memiliki respon yang sangat positif dan responsif sehingga kegiatan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Adapun saran yang dapat dilakukan untuk kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu iharapkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat dilakukan di desa lainnya. Selain itu, juga diharapkan jangka waktu kegiatan dapat diperpanjang mengingat adanya kendala teknis yang dapat terjadi dalam pelaksanaan program yang berkelanjutan.Kata kunci: Halal, Media Edukasi, Pagelaran, Sehat

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 infected millions of people and became the main mortality worldwide. COVID-19 also affected other health problems, including nutritional problems. This study aimed to find the factors that affected the nutritional and socio-economic status during the COVID-19 pandemic in a neighborhood of DKI Jakarta.Methods: This study utilized a cross-sectional design. Total sampling method on all families who had children in the 9th Neighborhood, Cawang Sub-District, DKI Jakarta was used. A total of 72 families were involved in this study, and the informants of this study were mothers of under five children. This study utilized a modified questionnaire from the Indonesian National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI). This study utilized bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results: From all of 72 families with children, it was found that eight children were wasting. The Job-Loss (PHK) has an OR of 37.8 (95%CI: 5.87-748.53; p=0.001), while below poverty line had an OR of 14.24 (95%CI: 3.55-170.35; p=0.004) to be wasted. The multivariate analysis had included covariates such as parental occupation, parental education, and antenatal care (ANC). Job-Loss and Below Poverty Line were the main factors in increasing the risk of malnutrition cases after controlled by covariates. Conclusion: The decrease in socio-economic status of a family during the pandemic, increased the risk of wasted children. Improvements in policy interventions and socio-economic aids are necessary to improve the nutritional status of under five children in the lower-middle class during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition in the first 1000 days of life. The aim of implementing Nutri Edu Fun is to increase public awareness regarding the importance of a healthy and nutritious lifestyle, consuming halal food and thayyib to prevent stunting. Activities will be carried out on August - September 2023 in Cibening Village, Bekasi, West Java. The Nutri Edu Fun program consists of a village potential survey, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), collecting data on social mapping and household food security status, anthropometric measurements at posyandu, apart from that, additional activities are also carried out by PMT cooking competitions and demonstrations, follow-up FGDs at Cibening Village Office, and making the book "BERPANGKAL" (PMT Recipe Book with Local Food Ingredients). The results of measuring the food security status of 32 respondents in Cibening Village revealed that 13 respondents experienced food insecurity. After a Focus Group Discussion was conducted with stakeholders in Cibening Village, it was discovered that 6 toddlers were stunted. One of the reasons is that the provision of PMT (Additional Feeding) at Posyandu is still not optimal. The pre-test and post-test results showed that there was no significant increase in knowledge (p>0.05) after giving Nutri Edu Fun, this could be due to the fairly short duration of the intervention. However, it is hoped that the use of the Nutri Edu Fun module will become a source of information related to health and nutrition that is easy for the community to understand. Keywords: Food security, halal food and thayyib, stunting.

Abstract

 Anemia in pregnant women is still a problem in Parung Panjang village, Parung Panjang sub-district, Bogor district. The main cause is a lack of knowledge about the importance of iron for pregnant women. To address this problem, a quasi-experimental pre-posttest one group design study was conducted with a sample of 18 pregnant women and preconception women. The knowledge measurement tool used was a questionnaire. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire on knowledge about anemia in pregnant women. The results showed a significant increase (p <0.05) in the knowledge of pregnant women and preconception women about anemia after the education and counseling activities were carried out, and they were enthusiastic and active in the discussion. The conclusion of this study is that the WhatsApp Auto Responding (WAR) media can be effectively used as one of the efforts to improve knowledge and prevent anemia in pregnant women in Parung Panjang village. The recommendation is to make education and counseling activities related to anemia using WAR a routine activity in Parung Panjang Village.Keywords: Anemia, auto responding, online education, pregnant women, WAR.

Abstract

WHO reported in 2016 that the prevalence of anemia among women was 32.8%. One of the causes for anemia is the deficiency of iron in the human blood cells. Pomegranate has the potential to increase iron status in cells and functional iron. The general objective of this study was to determine the best formulation of pomegranate candy based on the results of its sensory tests and nutritional content. This study was divided into 4 stages: pomegranate extraction, preliminary trial and error, sensory test, and nutritional content test. The sensory test results showed that the three candy formulations with various gelatin compositions had the same sensory properties. The smell and appearance of all candy formulations were classified as normal, the colors of the candy were identified as white and brown, and the taste of the candy was identified as slightly sour with a chewy texture and a solid shape. The candy formulation with the highest gelatin content had the highest iron and protein content, as well as the lowest water content, and longer shelf life. This makes candy with the highest gelatin content determined to be the best formula considering its higher ability to overcome anemia.  Keyword - Anemia, Candy, Fruit of Heaven, Pomegranate

Abstract

Wilayah Lampiri Pondok Kelapa kecamatan Duren Sawit Jakarta Timur adalah salah satu wilayah urban di Jakarta Timur dengan pemukiman padat penduduk yang minim areal resapan air. Kondisi umum masyarakat umumnya berpendidikan SMP dan SMA belum memahami siklus air/hidrologi dan pentingnya areal terbuka untuk peresapan air. Areal terbuka yang tersedia untuk penyerapan air di pemukiman tersebut rata-rata adalah16%. Masyarakat umumnya memperoleh air untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari dari air tanah. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang konservasi air dan menerapkan teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat khususnya RW 05 dan membangun unit instalasi penyerapan limbah air wudhu pada masjid dan sekolah Al Manar, masjid Al Ma’mur, masjid Al Hidayah, madrasah ibtidaiyyah dan Tsanawiyah Al Hidayah. Sosialisasi yang lebih luas dilakukan melalui video edukasi di channel youtube dan tutorial pemasangan instalasi serta ajakan Gerakan Masyarakat Sedekah Air Wudhu (GM-SAW). Indikator tercapainya solusi permasalahan adalah para tokoh masyarakat yaitu Lurah Pondok Kelapa, Lembaga Musyawarah Kelurahan (LMK), ketua RW, RT, DKM masjid serta masyarakat memahami pentingnya konservasi air yang ditandai dengan persetujuan masyarakat dipasanngnya instalasi penyerapan limbah air wudhu di masjid dengan konsekuensi pembongkaran sebagian areal masjid khususnya yang berdekatan dengan tempat wudhu. Limbah air wudhu yang kembali ke dalam tanah juga menjadi keberhasilan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Selain itu indikator keberhasilan adalah tersosialisasinya video edukasi dengan minimal 500 viewers dan kenyataannya mencapai 871 juga instagram dan dijadikan GM-SAW menjadi program kerja Asosiasi Mesjid Kampus DKI Jakarta (AMKI DKI) pada tahun 2021.Kata Kunci: Konservasi, Air, Instalasi, Masjid, GM-SAW

Abstract

Stunting merupakan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak akibat kekurangan gizi kronis dan infeksi berulang, yang ditandai dengan panjang dan tinggi badan anak berada di bawah standar pertumbuhannya. Di Desa Rawapanjang terdapat balita yang masuk kategori balita pendek atau Stunting dan sebanyak 14 anak telah divalidasi dengan cara melakukan pengukuran antropometri terkonfirmasi Stunting. Hasil dari FGD merekomendasikan 2 program yakni berupa pemberian edukasi gizi kepada warga desa untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat serta menunjang kegiatan posyandu yang disebut Nutri Edu Fun dan PEKA (Pelayanan Edukasi Kesehatan Anak). Metode pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi door to door sedangkan verifikasi dan validasi data e-PPBGM serta edukasi dan penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah. Hasil pelaksanakan dua program edukasi gizi Nutri Edu Fun dan PEKA menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan terkait kesehatan dan gizi pada kelompok sasaran.. Luaran PKM yang dihasilkan berupa program dan modul Nutri Edu Fun serta program PEKA.Kata kunci: stunting, e-ppbgm, verifikasi dan validasi, edukasi dan penyuluhan

Abstract

Posyandu Mawar merupakan salah satu posyandu yang terletak di desa Cikarawang, Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi, Jawa Barat. Beberapa masalah yang ditemukan diantaranya: Pengetahuan kader terkait gizi ibu dan balita masih kurang, metode informasi yang diberikan kepada ibu balita belum maksimal dan terbatasnya fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh Posyandu. Emo Demo adalah singkatan dari emotional demonstration, merupakan metode baru dan inovatif untuk mengubah perilaku terkait gizi. Kegiatan pelatihan Emo Demo bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan menambah keterampilan kader, dalam menyampaikan informasi gizi dan kesehatan kepada peserta Posyandu dengan cara yang lebih interaktif. Luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah berupa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kader dan ibu balita setelah mendapat edukasi gizi terkait konten modul Emo Demo. Di samping itu, terdapat tugas berupa role playing yang langsung diperankan oleh kader untuk mengukur pemahaman kader terhadap teknis pelaksanaan modul Emo Demo. Peserta yang ikut dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 10 orang meliputi kader Posyandu/tenaga kesehatan yang biasa membantu kegiatan di Posyandu Mawar. Kegiatan terdiri atas 4 tahap, yaitu persiapan, pemaparan materi dan role play dari peserta. Dalam kegiatan ini posyandu diberikan KIT emo demo dan buku pahlawan gizi seimbang agar kader posyandu bisa lebih produktif melaksanakan kegiatan dengan adanya kedua alat tersebut, selain itu meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait gizi ibu dan anak. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan kemampuan kader dalam menyampaikan informasi gizi dengan interaktif dan menarik.Kata Kunci: Anak, Edukasi, Emo Demo, Ibu, Posyandu.

Abstract

Children under two years old are a critical period in child development, characterized by rapid growth and development. One nutritional issue, stunting, can arise from inappropriate feeding practices and leads to impaired brain development, intelligence, physical growth, and metabolic function. To address this, we implemented Emotional Demonstration education on baby and child feeding schedules for young mothers. This study aimed to analyze the impact of Emotional Demonstration education on mothers’ knowledge and attitudes regarding toddler feeding practices at Dahlia Posyandu, Pabuaran Village, Bogor Regency. A Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-Test Post-Test design was employed involving 32 young women from the Bojonggede Community Health Center. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results indicate a significant improvement in mothers’ knowledge following Emotional Demonstration education. However, no significant change was observed in their attitudes. In conclusion, Emotional Demonstration education effectively enhances maternal knowledge about baby and child feeding schedules but does not influence their attitudes

Abstract

Background: CED generally occurs in Women of Childbearing Age (WCA), especially adolescent girls who are in the preconception period. The prevalence of CED in WCA in the age range of 15-19 years is included in the high category, this is a problem because it will have an impact on children's health and nutrition problems in the future. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education related to CED on adolescent preconception through video media on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls at SMAN 92 Jakarta. Methods: This study used a Quasi Experiment Two Group Pre-Post Test research design. This study was conducted in June 2024 with a sample of 74 people. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires from respondent interviews. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with data analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge score of 20,41 in the intervention group and 12,97 in the control group. Providing nutrition education using video media provides an increase in knowledge. And there was an increase in attitude scores of 6,79 in the intervention group and 7,48 in the control group. Providing nutrition education using video media provides changes in improving attitudes. Conclusion: Providing education using video media is more effective in improving the knowledge of adolescent girls when compared to Powerpoint. However, in the attitude category, both media, namely video and Powerpoint, are equally effective in changing the attitudes of adolescent girls. In the future, it is hoped that video media can be utilized properly as an alternative option for nutrition education media.
