Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of inquiry-based virtual laboratory modules in improving civil engineering students' conceptual understanding of moment of inertia, with critical thinking skills as a moderating factor. Using a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design, 60 students were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged with virtual lab modules featuring interactive simulations and case-based learning, while the control group received conventional lecture-based instruction. Results indicated significantly higher learning outcomes in the experimental group (mean score = 58.9) compared to the control group (46.5), with critical thinking skills further amplifying this effect. ANOVA analysis confirmed the significant impact of the intervention (F = 21.83, p < 0.001). The study highlights the importance of integrating technology with pedagogical strategies that foster critical analysis and self-directed exploration. These findings contribute to engineering education by demonstrating how virtual labs, when combined with inquiry-based learning, can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while accommodating diverse learning needs. Recommendations include curriculum integration of such modules and professional development for educators in implementing technology-enhanced, inquiry driven approaches.

Abstract

Technological progress is something that cannot be avoided in today's life, because technological progress will run in line with scientific progress, Current technological developments have shown many extraordinary advances. Many things in the life sector have used the existence of technology itself. One of the economic forces that has been supporting the Indonesian state economy and regional economic strength is the presence of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) must be able to compete in international markets so as not to be oppressed. Moreover, in this competitive era, MSME players should be aware of information technology (IT) so that they can make it easier to market products outside the region and abroad. Digital marketing has become one of the media that is often used by business people because of the new ability of consumers to follow the flow of digitalization, several companies are little by little starting to abandon conventional marketing models and switch to modern marketing. Based on the description above, we can conclude that digital marketing is very important in MSMEs. In KKN activities in Kulwaru Padukuham Serangrejo Village, where in their activities there are still many business actors who do not know and how to use digital marketing, especially marketplaces, this can be caused by various factors that occur, one of which is environmental factors. So the author held socialization activities for MSME Development by Introducing Digital Marketing in order to improve the economy in Padukuhan Serangrejo.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of class X students of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) towards mathematics learning and its impact on students' learning interests and attitudes. The study was conducted at one of the vocational schools in Yogyakarta with a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data were collected using triangulation techniques through observation, open questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that most students had negative perceptions of mathematics, which were considered difficult, confusing, and irrelevant to life or work in the automotive field. This perception resulted in low interest and negative attitudes such as indifference, passivity, and lack of enthusiasm. However, there were students who showed positive attitudes when the material presented was considered relevant and easy to understand. These findings indicate a close relationship between students' perceptions, interests, and attitudes towards mathematics learning. Therefore, it is important for educators to design learning strategies that are more contextual, applicable, and in accordance with the world of work in order to form positive perceptions of mathematics.
