Abstract

Sheet jam is a processed jam food product that is processed with the addition of hydrocolloid so that it has a semi-solid, plastic and non-sticky texture. This study aims to utilize the watermelon rind and chempedak fruit in the manufature of sheet jam as one of the food diversifications. This studi used a one-faktor Completely Randomizd Design (CRD), namely the comparison of the watermelon rind and chempedak fruit flesh with 3 treatment levels (50%:50%, 60%:40%, 70%:30%). Data analysis used ANOVA with Duncan's Advanced Test at 95% confidence interval. The analysis used included chemical test analysis (moistur content, ash content, pectin content, crude fiber content), physical tests (total dissolved solids and color test), sensory quality, and hedonic tests to determine the product with the best treatment. The best treatment of sheet jam was with a ratio of 50% watermelon rind and 50% puree of chempedak pulp, having a moistures content of 19.83%, ash content of 0.42%, pectin content of 3.23%, crude fiber of 2.92%, and TDS 21.8 % °Brix. The results of the sensory quality of sheet jam with the best treatment had a brownish yellow color, tended to be sweet, smelled of less strong watermelon albedo, had a strong aroma of chempedak, and quite springy in texture. The results of the hedonik test on sheet jam were the best for color, aroma, taste, texture, and Overall parameters in the direction of liking (6,42 – 7,30).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Jelly candy is candy made from filtered fruit juice with gelling additions, has a clear color and soft texture with a certain level of chewiness. Dragon fruit skin contains anthocyanins and is a source of natural antioxidants and contains pectin. Belimbing wuluh contains oxalic acid and citric acid, so it can replace the use of citric acid in making jelly cady. The purpose of this study is the utilization of red dragon fruit peel as pectin and natural coroling in teh manufacture of jelly. This study used a one factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), namely the concentration ratio of dragon fruit peel extract with star fruit (70:40), (80:30), and (90:20). Product analysis includes sensory test and water content test as a determinant of the selected product. Data analysis used was ANOVA with Duncan’s further test. The selected jelly candy was obtained in the treatment (90:20). The results of the sensory test on jelly candy are bright red to intense red, slightly scented with dragon fruit peel, sweet and slightly sour taste, soft and sticky texture and overall favored by panelists. The selected jelly candy has a moisture content of 34.79%, reducing sugar content of 25.75% and saccharose content of 83.20%. In addition, the selected jelly candy has a high vitamin C content of 1027.14 mg/100g.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the gross motor skill conditions of children aged 4–5 years at TK Miftahul Ulum Tegalgirang Bangodua, which still required improvement. Gross motor skills are an essential aspect of early childhood development as they support movement abilities, balance, body coordination, and children’s readiness to participate in learning activities. Although various physical activities have been implemented to stimulate children’s motor development, the use of rope skipping game as a learning medium for children aged 4–5 years still needs further investigation. This study aimed to improve children’s gross motor skills through the implementation of rope skipping games. The research employed a Classroom Action Research design using the Stephen Kemmis and Robin McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles involving 10 children in Group A. Data were collected through observation and documentation and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques with percentage analysis. The observed indicators included jumping ability, body balance, and movement coordination. The success criterion was achieved when most children reached the “Very Well Developed” category. The results showed a significant improvement across the cycles. In the pre-cycle stage, 60% of children were in the “Not Yet Developed” category. In Cycle I, 20% of children reached the “Very Well Developed” category, increasing to 80% in Cycle II, while the “Not Yet Developed” category decreased to 0%. Children also showed increased confidence during learning activities. In conclusion, rope skipping game was proven effective in improving gross motor skills of children aged 4–5 years, as indicated by the increase in the “Very Well Developed” category from 0% to 80%.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning faces challenges in internalizing Islamic values because teacher-centered learning remains dominant. Although the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) theory and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) have been widely studied, the integration of the two in PAI learning still requires conceptual strengthening. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Lev Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development theory through the Project-Based Learning method in contemporary Islamic Religious Education learning. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research design. The data sources consisted of books, journal articles, and scientific documents selected purposively based on relevance, credibility, and publication recency. Data were collected through documentation study and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that the integration of ZPD and PjBL was able to realize learner-centered learning through scaffolding, social interaction, and contextual learning experiences. This approach contributes to improving learning motivation, critical thinking skills, collaboration, communication, internalization of Islamic values, and the formation of students’ religious character. These findings strengthen the relevance of social constructivist theory in the development of PAI learning and broaden understanding of the integration of ZPD and PjBL in the context of Islamic education. The conclusion of this study affirms that the integration of ZPD and PjBL can serve as a conceptual alternative in designing PAI learning that is more contextual, collaborative, and meaningful. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the development of PAI learning models based on social constructivism as well as practical contributions for teachers and curriculum developers in designing learning that is oriented toward students’ active engagement.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of an interactive e-book incorporating Semanding local wisdom for Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in fourth-grade elementary school classes. The research was motivated by the limited availability of contextual digital learning media and the insufficient integration of local wisdom into IPAS instruction at the elementary school level. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, with particular emphasis on the development phase and product validation process. The product was evaluated by three validators consisting of a media expert, a language expert, and a subject-matter expert. The validation instrument assessed several aspects, including visual appearance, functionality, content, language, and curriculum alignment. Data were analyzed using percentage calculations to determine the feasibility level of the developed media. The findings revealed that the interactive e-book achieved a validation score of 100% from the media expert, 96% from the language expert, and 85% from the material expert, resulting in an overall average score of 93.67%, which falls within the very feasible category. These results indicate that the developed media satisfies the required feasibility standards in terms of design, functionality, language use, and content quality. Therefore, the interactive e-book based on Semanding local wisdom is considered highly appropriate for use as a learning medium in fourth-grade IPAS learning and is ready to be implemented during the product trial stage.
