Abstract

Pertumbuhan sektor kosmetik dan skincare tidak dapat disangkal dipengaruhi oleh permintaan konsumen. Dikarenakan besarnya minat masyarakat terhadap perawatan wajah, banyak perusahaan yang memproduksi produk skincare dan memiliki startegi pemasaran yang unik. Beberapa perusahaan Indonesia mulai tertarik pada artis KPop dengan maksud menjalin kerjasama dalam mempromosikan produk-produk mereka. Salah satu brand skincare lokal yang menggunakan selebriti k-pop sebagai brand ambassador yaitu Scarlett dengan EXO sebagai brand ambassadornya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh EXO sebagai Brand Ambassador terhadap Minat Beli Konsumen Produk Skincare Scarlett (Studi pada Mahasiswa Universitas Mulawarman). Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan kuesioner untuk memperoleh data. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan dan menggunakan rumus 25 kali jumlah variabel, yang menghasilkan 100 orang sebagai responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan brand ambassador memberikan pengaruh sebesar 30,2% terhadap minat beli, sedangkan sisanya 69,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Secara hasil uji t (parsial), nilai t-hitung brand ambassador sebesar 6.518 lebih besar dari nilai t-tabel 1.660. Dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya bahwa EXO sebagai brand ambassador berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen produk skincare Scarlett.

Abstract

Kerukunan umat beragama merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga stabilitas sosial di Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara yang memiliki keragaman agama yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kerukunan umat beragama melalui dimensi toleransi, kesetaraan, dan kerjasama antar umat beragama. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasi untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antar variabel melalui survei yang melibatkan 200 responden di wilayah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga dimensi tersebut memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kerukunan umat beragama, dengan indikator-indikator seperti toleransi sosial, kesetaraan hak, dan kerjasama lintas agama mendominasi. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung kesetaraan akses sosial dan sumber daya, serta pendidikan yang menekankan pentingnya kerjasama dan toleransi antar umat beragama untuk memperkuat kerukunan sosial yang berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and technological advancement, government agencies are required to adopt the Internet and social media to improve service quality and develop human resource performance. Social media plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and collaboration in the workplace, enabling the rapid and efficient exchange of information and knowledge. This helps improve human resource performance in achieving the goals set by government agencies, aligning with the expectations and targets established. To determine the influence of social media use on the performance of employees at the Transportation Department of Samarinda City. This study employs a descriptive, quantitative approach, drawing on the uses and gratification theory. The sampling technique employed purposive sampling, resulting in 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the use of social media has a significant influence of 77.4% on employee performance. In comparison, the remaining 22.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, which means that the hypothesis that social media use has a positive and significant effect on employee performance is supported.

Abstract

The research titles “Utilizing the Instagram Account @makanansmr as a Culinary Information Platform for Samarinda City” aims to investigate how the owners of the @makanansmr Instagram account anf their followers utilize the account as a source of culinary information in Samarinda. Media users actively employ media to fulfil their needs, ans the motives behind their media usage play a significant role in comprehending the relationship between users and the media they engage with. Ins this study, Uses and Gratification theory was applied, with a specific focus on three motives that drive social media use:information, educational, and entertaiment motives. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive methodology. The findings reveal that the @makanansmr account serves as an effective conduit for culinary information due to the presence of information, educational and entertaiment motives. Beyond serving as a culinary information in making informed decisions about visiting recommended establishments.

Abstract

One of the main characteristics in the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the spread of internet technology. The advantage of the internet lies in its ability to reach audiences without being constrained by geographical restrictions. In this study, the goal is to clarify branding activities in the framework of communication, where its elements, such as branding or branding, are presented through various ways and media, becoming elements of the message in the communication process. The study uses a descriptive approach, as a study that explores events of social action in a natural context, with an emphasis on how individuals understand and interpret their experiences. The result of this study is that the role of Instagram social media can increase the interest of tourists visiting tourist destinations in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, caused by the Kutai Kartanegara Tourism Office which has begun to routinely pay attention to tourism marketing through the role of social media by processing content on @visitingkutaikartanegara Instagram account. In addition, the Instagram account has begun to collaborate with various organizations and influencers to assist the Kutai Kartanegara Tourism Office in carrying out digital branding which can facilitate the dissemination of information through Instagram social media.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a dynamic phenomenon that can occur in all walks of life. Given the role of film as a tool to convey ideas and influence the audience, research on the effects of domestic violence in the movie Precious is interesting to do. The rampant news about domestic violence makes this research relevant because this movie can provide an overview of the destructive impact of domestic violence on children as victims. The aim of this research is to find out what the physical, psychological, sexual, and social effects are due to domestic violence experienced by the main character in the film Precious. This research uses a quantitative content analysis method with a descriptive approach. Data will be measured using a measurement table. The research population is the movie Precious with a duration of 1 hour 50 minutes, with a sample of scenes containing the effects of domestic violence. The results showed that Precious depicts various effects of domestic violence, such as loss of self-confidence, anxiety, lack of attention from parents, withdrawal from the family, use of harsh words, stress, depression, self-isolation, not given living expenses, embarrassment to meet others, problematic education, trauma, pregnancy, children replacing parental roles, loss of jobs, imagining the violence experienced, bruises, bumps on the body, and injuries.

Abstract

A film is a collection of many images combined into a single whole, consisting of audio and visual components. Movies also often serve as a mirror of social reality. One of the Indonesian films that reflects social reality is the film "Noktah Merah Perkawinan" which tells the story of conflicts and dynamics in domestic life, as well as depicting various social and cultural issues that are relevant to Indonesian society. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze how family dysfunction is represented in the movie "Noktah Merah Perkakahan" and how this can affect people's perception of family problems. Using a descriptive qualitative research method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis by identifying several scenes that describe the characteristics of being in a dysfunctional family proposed by a psychotherapist named Dr. Rashmi Prakash in Fistory Parenting, including lack of communication, lack of empathy, mental problems, excessive behavior control, lack of emotional support and violence. The findings emphasize the depiction of gender inequality as a major contributing factor to dysfunction, revealing that children are deeply impacted by such dynamics. This research enriches the understanding of media's role in portraying family dysfunction and aims to offer insights into addressing such issues effectively in real family settings.

Abstract

Generation Z, as active users of social media, especially YouTube, has great potential in absorbing and interpreting religious messages. This study aims to analyze how students of the Mulawarman University Center for Islamic Studies interpret religious messages delivered through Ustadz Khalid Basalamah'. s YouTube channel, as well as their relationship with religious fanaticismA qualitative phenomenological approach is used to explore the meaning of messages based on the theorystimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) . Data were collected through in-depth interviews with selected informants using methodpurposive sampling, and supported by observation. The results showed that YouTube acts as the main media for informants to access complete religious studies. At the stimulus stage, individual beliefs and needs influence the meaning of the message. At the stageorganism , informants process messages according to their preferences and form responses that reflect their beliefs. The resulting responses vary from attitude change to fanaticism. Social media is proven to change individuals' religious views, ways of thinking and attitudes. However, a superficial understanding of messages can lead to fanaticism. This research emphasizes the importance of deep understanding in interpreting religious messages, in order to prevent negative impacts such as excessive fanaticism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Semiotika Pesan Moral Pada Film Teman Tapi Menikah 2”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pesan moral yang terkandung dalam film “Teman Tapi Menikah 2”. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penelitian ini adalah Teori Komunikasi Massa, dan Analisis Semiotika oleh Charles Sanders Pierce yang terdiri atas makna representamen, objek, dan interpretant. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisi storyboard Subjek penelitian adalah film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 yang berdurasi 100 menit yang terdiri atas 108 scene dan 20 scene sebagai objek yang dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pada film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 terdapat banyak scene yang mengandung pesan moral. Beberapa pesan moral yang terdapat melalui scene- scene yang dianalisis antara lain berisi tentang; Pertama hubungan antara manusia dengan Tuhan adalah menjalankan perintah agama seperti memakai hijab. Kedua hubungan antara manusia dengan diri sendiri seperti kemandirian seorang ibu dan rasa rindu. Ketiga, hubungan antara manusia dengan manusia lain seperti persahabatan dan kasih sayang orang tua

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motif dari alasan mengapa para pengunjung di Kafe Kopiria jalan Kartini, ingin mengunjungi kafe tersebut, dan bagaimanakah pola perilaku komunikasi yang terjadi pada pengunjung di kafe Kopiria jalan Kartini Samarinda, serta mencari tahu apakah terdapat maksud atau tujuan dari interaksi simbolik pengunjung kepada Kafe Kopiria jalan kaertini Samarinda. Keberadaan warung kopi yang terus berkembang dan diminati masyarakat Samarinda telah menjadi tempat bersosialisasi dalam melakukan rutinitas keseharian dengan latar belakang penggunaan yang beragam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif, dengan jenis studi lapangan. Menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dan pengamatan langsung,  sebagai arah penunjang pada saat melakukan pengumupulan data. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan tekinik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, yang dianalisis menjadi sebuah data agar dapat menentukan hasil dari penelitian skripsi ini. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa interaksi yang terjadi di Kopiria Kartini terbentuk melalui proses interaksi antarindividu dan antarkelompok dengan menggunakan simbol-simbol yang dipahami maknanya melalui proses komunikasi. Hasil penelitian ini juga dapat ditemukan pola komunikasi yang terjalin, baik antar sesama pengunjung dan antara pengunjung dan karyawan atau barista Kopiria. Interaksi antar pengunjung dan karyawan di Kopiria ini adalah interaksi simbolic yang terdiri dari tiga konsep, antara lain ; mind konsep, self concep dan society concep. Semua konsep tersebut saling keterkaitan dan saling berkesinambungan.
