Abstract

Data  tahun  2015  menunjukkan  Indonesia  menepati  urutan  ketiga  frekuensi  kejadian  kebakaran  sebanyak  20-100.000 pertahun  dengan  korban  200-1.000  jiwa.  Pusat  perbelanjaan  sebagai  tempat  yang  berpotensi  terjadi  kebakaran disebabkan  oleh  penggunaan  listrik  yang  berlebihan.  Kesiapsiagaan  berperan  penting  dalam  meminimalkan  risiko korban  jiwa  akibat  kebakaran  di  bangunan  gedung.  Sebanyak  35%  korban  selamat  disebabkan  oleh  kemampuan  diri sendiri  untuk melindungi diri. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kesiapsiagaan pengunjung ter hadap bahaya  kebakaran.  Selain  itu,  menilai  pengaruh  langsung,  pengaruh  tidak  langsung  dan  pengaruh  total pengetahuan pengunjung  tentang  bencana,  kemampuan  rencana  darurat,  peringatan  dini  dan  mobilisasi  sumber  daya  terhadap kesiapsiagaan. Penelitian menggunakan desain survei analitik dengan pengambilan sampel secara Accidental sampling, sedangkan  analisis  data  menggunakan  statistik  deskriptif  dan  analisis  jalur.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  rata-rata kesiapsiagaan  pengunjung  sebesar  55%.  Mobilisasi  sumber  daya  sebagai  indikator  kesiapsiagaan  yang  memberikan pengaruh  total  paling  besar  yaitu  43,68%,  s edangkan  indikator  yang  memberikan  pengaruh  total  paling  kecil  yaitu peringatan dini 13,5%. Pengelola gedung perlu melengkapi sarana-prasarana keselamatan kebakaran agar kesiapsiagaan pengunjung meningkat.Kata  Kunci:  Kebakaran,  Kesiapsiagaan, Lippo Plaza,  Pengunjung

Abstract

Many people in the Sorogenen Village and Mitra Griya Asri Housing communities are concerned about the COVID-19 information spread via the WhatsApp group social media. The goal of this study was to see how exposure to COVID-19 information on WhatsApp affected anxiety levels in the hamlet and housing communities, as well as to look at how exposure to COVID-19 information on WhatsApp affected anxiety levels in the communities. The Uses and Gratification Theory, Information Exposure Theory, Anxiety Theory, and Individual Difference Theory are all investigated in this study. The quantitative research method was applied, with each sample area consisting of 100 participants. All of the ideas employed in this study were evaluated on the designated population, according to the findings. The findings of the hypothesis 1 test show that the greater the exposure to COVID-19 information on WhatsApp, the higher the residents of Sorogenen Padukuhan's anxiety level. Hypothesis 2 was tested, claiming that the higher the level of exposure to COVID-19 information on WhatsApp social media, the higher the level of anxiety among Mitra Griya Asri Housing residents; and hypothesis 3 was tested, claiming that there is a difference in the effect of COVID-19 information on the people of the communities, but no difference in the level of anxiety among these residents. This research provides scientific contributions in the form of indicators of critical thinking to strengthen active audiences on Uses and Gratification Theory and intensity indicators on Information Exposure Theory.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the model of intercultural communication and intercultural communication barriers between Madurese and Malays in Roban, Singkawang West Kalimantan. It is research a qualitative research. Data were collected through observation, document review, and interviews. The result shows that the form of communication is mutual respect between cultures and ethnic customs that appreciates each other. Malay ethnic honors and respects customs of Madurese ethnic and vice versa. Inhibiting factors of intercultural communication are less Madurese can mingle with Malay community, lack of knowledge of Madurese ethnic tradition or custom of the Malay ethnic community, lack of desire to follow customs and traditions of local community as well as low frequency of interaction with community.

Abstract

This research aims to find out model of communication marketing as means to increasing the power of women’s UKM in informal sector of Yogyakarta. Research methodology in qualitative descriptive is used with collect data, focus group discussion (FGD). These research methodogy are service, food, and farm. Result of this research found model of communication marketing which is used media social methodology in informal sector to increasing the power of women’s UKM of Yogyakarta. This research extend give recommendation for women’s UKM of Yogyakarta to optimize their effort through social media such as facebook, twitter, instagram, and website.

Abstract

The importance of implementing the corporate communication model at Sari Ater Hotel & Resort in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0 is faced with the use of new media and the effects of these changes on the company. The purpose of this study was to find out and find the corporate communication model of Sari Ater Hotel & Resort. The study used descriptive qualitative method, where data was obtained through in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews) and observations of informants (Director of Sales, Marketing Manager, and Public Relations Manager). The results of this study indicate that the social media communication model for corporate Sari Ater Hotels & Resort is relevant because in reality digital media has an influence on the implementation of Public Relations activities R Sari Ater Hotel & Resort has even been used as a medium to interact with the public, both internal and external public because through the internet can be known various information and issues that are developing or changes that occur so that a PR practitioner Sari Ater Hotel & Resort can access all information required according to the needs of the organization. The research findings are interactional communication models that can be applied at Sari Ater Hotel & Resort in the face of a linear and circular 4.0 industrial revolution

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motive of the public to read or understand the information contained on the drug packaging OTC, identify the ability of people to understand information on the the drug packaging OTC and the utilization of existing information. This is a qualitative research. Researchers collected data in the Kepuharjo village, Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The result shows that the main reason of people reading the instructions on the drug packaging OTC is to be safe after consuming drugs. However, other clue, such as drug side effects is less noticed. Because of consuming drugs is always safe, it makes people repeat in consuming drugs considered suitable for her. People do this in accordance with rules of consuming drugs because they expect to get speedy recovery. The other reason is to make as information or knowledge when they will consume drugs.

Abstract

This study aims to find a model of environmental communications for disaster mitigation eruption of Mount Sinabung at Karo district of North Sumatra. This research also aims at increasing public awareness and government in improving the effectiveness of disaster communications in Sinabung. Organizational Information Theory is used as concept of his study. The research uses descriptive qualitative method by employing data collection techniques such as Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and interviews on communication training for disaster mitigation at Sinabung. The research located in Karo district of North Sumatra, particularly at Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Department of Communication and Information Technology, and Kesbanglinmas, Head sub district, Head of village, and volunteers. The result of this research is a model of environmental communications to support early warning system in Sinabung.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the tendency of online media coverage detik.com August-September 2017 period about the eruption of Mount Sinabung disaster communication. Social responsibility theory and disaster journalism are used as reference analysis. This research uses a quantitative content analysis method with documentation of data collection techniques and literature study. The validity test of the data used in this study is the reliability test. The results of this study found that news about the eruption of Mount Sinabung on Detik.com tended to be informative based on the type of news was dominated by straight news, the news length was 6-10 paragraphs, there was the use of the word "Sinabung", photos, nature and types of news presented informative and actual , as well as the type of coverage that is dominated by the type of one side (a single source). The substance of this research provides policy input to the editor of the online news site Detik.com that reporting about disasters, especially Mt. Sinabung, should be supplemented with other types of news that are more complete, avoiding a single source so that the contents of the news are more complete and balanced.

Abstract

ogyakarta adalah salah satu wilayah di Indonesia yang memiliki risiko tinggi potensi gempa bumi khususnya gempa bumi tektonik. Catatan sejarah kejadian gempa bumi di Yogyakarta sering terjadi dengan skala 5,9 bahkan lebih dari 7,0 SR, diantaranya gempa bumi Yogyakarta-Jawa Tengah 2006 mengakibatkan sekitar 5.716 korban meninggal dengan kerugian 3.134 juta, terdapat 30 pasar tradisional yang rusak berat akibat gempa di Yogyakarta dan Klaten, salah satunya pasar Beringharjo. Pasar Beringharjo dikenal sebagai destinasi wisata utama di kawasan Malioboro Yogyakarta yang tidak lepas dari ancaman bencana gempa bumi serta dampak sekundernya yaitu kebakaran, sehingga diperlukan upaya penanggulangan bencana melalui upaya kesiapsiagaan dari pengguna pasar agar kerugian dapat diminimalisir. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kesiapsiagaan pengguna pasar terhadap ancaman bencana gempa bumi dan kebakaran yang digambarkan melalui pengetahuan, sikap, sistem peringatan dini, rencana tanggap darurat, dan mobilisasi sumber daya serta menilai dan mendiskripsikan sarana-prasarana yang menunjang keselamatan pengguna pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur kuesioner diadopsi dari LIPI-UNESCO/ISDR tahun 2006, lembar obsevasi dan lembar pertanyaan merujuk dari Peraturan Pd – T – 11 – 2005 – C, Kepmen Pu No 11/Ktsp/2000 dan Permen Pu No 29/Prt/2006. Hasil studi menunjukan kesiapsiagaan pengguna pasar berada pada kategori siap sebesar 54%, sangat siap sebesar 22%, hampir siap sebesar 17 %, kurang siap sebesar 6 %, dan tidak siap sebesar 1 %.  Nilai sarana-prasarana masuk dalam keandalan cukup dengan skor 80. Kesiapsiagaaan pengguna pasar masuk dalam kategori siap dan didukung oleh kecukupan sarana – prasarana yang menunjang keselamatan pengguna pasar.       Kata kunci : Kesiapsiagaan, Gempa bumi, Kebakaran, Pengguna Pasar Beringharjo
